Oregon has some epic mountains. However, not all that’s epic has to be gigantic and grand. Nature’s epic beauty is all around us: it can be found in a flower petal, a droplet of water, and the silky strands of a spider’s web. We start along a cold rushing stream born from snowmelt, and trek higher, into the forest, and onward to the top of colossal ice-veined mountains. We see animals along the way. They become frightened. Is there a mountain lion nearby? A storm approaches. Time lapse captures clouds zipping and lightning flashing across the sky. Afterwards, calm prevails once again.
