What country's capital is growing the fastest in the world?
How do you not know this?
You really don't know this?
No, what?
Ireland.
It's Dublin.
You're a comedic genius.
I'm about...
Somebody's about to make the set.
Welcome to Celebrity Dad Jokes.
I am Nick Cannon, Super Dad.
Today we're going to be telling some dad jokes
with the one and only Kevin Hart.
Hurry up, Nick.
Another Super Dad.
And we're going to be talking about his new show,
Another Show.
This show is very special.
Lil' Kev.
There she is, baby.
I'm really excited about this.
We're going to get to it.
And you know how this works, man.
The rules are you laugh, you lose.
We're going to be doing some dad jokes.
So the goal is not to laugh.
Not to laugh.
But if it gets you...
Yeah, yeah.
Okay.
Because we've been...
I'm the king of corny.
I got it.
This is what I do.
Okay, I got it, I got it.
Celebrity Dad Jokes.
I'm a fan of the dad jokes.
So let's just do it.
Contain it.
You ready?
I'm ready.
All right.
You go first.
I'm going to go first.
What do you call a musician who's bad with money?
What do you call it?
Brokey Robinson.
Go.
You next.
All right.
Did you know it's illegal to laugh loudly in Hawaii?
You didn't know that?
No.
Yeah.
You got to keep aloha.
Stupid.
Aloha.
That's good.
All right, go.
All right.
Whoa, whoa, whoa.
Did you hear about what happened to the vampires in Philly?
No.
Got killed with a cheese steak.
Okay, come on.
To the heart.
All right.
That's stupid.
That's just...
That's dumb.
That was dumb.
It's on the card.
No, that was a cheese steak.
You from Philly.
I get that.
That's why that was stupid.
All right.
That one was dumb.
I just want to go on.
That joke.
Okay.
Did you hear about the fat pizza man stuck in the fridge?
No.
Well, you probably didn't hear it because there wasn't mushrooms.
All right.
Let's talk Lil Kev, man.
Congratulations.
Thank you, man.
It's animated.
I mean, you are always on the cutting edge in doing things that people don't get to do
in your career.
So, I mean, tell the world about, you know, just give them an overview of what audiences
can expect.
I mean, look, this is one of the things that are, I got to be honest, it's a passion project.
So, I've been trying to develop this for over seven, eight years, you know, and trying to
figure out a way to get into the animation space from a perspective in my point of view,
but to where I could also like highlight my city in a way that nobody else could.
So, I feel like, you know, when you talk about the hood and we talk about like our environment
that we grew up in, it's always painted with a crazy bad overview.
Right.
People always highlight the bad.
And I was like, there's so much good in the bad.
You know, like when you talk about the neighborhood with the people that aren't necessarily at
the top of the food chain in life, but they serve a valuable purpose to the community.
This animation is about uplifting those people.
You know, the guy that's on the corner, the people that are on the stoop, the neighborhood
nosy woman that's in the window watching the kids and that responsibility to tell on the
kids to their parents and how many people actually are raising a kid like in a community
like that.
It takes a village.
So, just kind of showing what that village dynamic was for me as I was coming up.
That's dope.
And when I look at it, man, even the animation style is nostalgic.
Like, it feels like the cartoons we grew up watching, like without purposeful.
All intent, all done with the strong intent to be different, go back to the times where
I was a kid, things that I gravitated towards, the reason why cartoons were special.
You know, I wanted to feel that.
I wanted the kids today to feel that, you know.
And my test was my kids.
You know, giving my kids...
They rock with it?
Yeah, that's the big test.
When you pass the test in your...
Zoe was like, Dad, this is it.
Zoe, have, do.
No, Dad, that's funny.
Like, when it goes to that...
Because they are a tough audience.
I know your kids.
Your kids will be like...
We're no longer cool, which is why...
At all.
This is why it's working.
This is very much fitting right now.
I'm fine with it.
Yeah, I'm fine with it.
Matter of fact, let's get right back to it.
What do you call a moose with no name?
Anonymous.
Okay.
All right, all right.
Because he's a...
I get it.
You don't know his name.
I get it.
But he's a moose.
I get it.
Instead of saying anonymous.
Yeah, instead of saying anonymous, you just put moose.
Now I get it.
I heard you.
I got it.
No.
Okay.
What do you call beef propped against a wall?
Whoa, this is a family show.
What do you call it?
I don't really want to know you like that.
Lean meat.
That's some lean meat.
Right.
Propped against a wall.
You got the beef propped up against the wall, so that's some lean meat.
That's what that is.
Because it's leaning.
Against a wall.
Okay.
I thought that was good.
Yeah, that was...
A little risque for a dad joke.
That was definitely dad jokes after dark.
Yeah.
What does Sylvester Stallone and Lil Kev's upbringing both have in common?
They both were a little rocky.
That's why you a comedic genius.
Did I get it?
You did.
It's right there on the card.
Yeah, look at that.
I just really, I went in the tank for that.
That's why I keep telling people I could have been a good student.
It just took a while for me to figure it out.
I struggled with the work they was giving me.
We all did.
They was giving me stuff like this.
Eight months?
Eight months, yeah.
The teachers was stupid.
Why did the patient refuse to pay the proctologist for her butt lift?
First of all, what's a proctologist?
That's problematic if you don't know what that is.
Ask it again.
The big word threw me off.
Why did the patient refuse to pay the proctologist for her butt lift?
Come on, man.
She said it still had a little crack in it.
You got it.
They're laughing.
I'm not paying for this.
It's still a crack in it.
Why do I have a crack in it?
You ain't got to explain it.
It was funny when you said it.
Yeah, because it's imperfect if there's no crack in it.
It's damaged.
I'm not paying for that.
Alright, man.
Let's talk Lil Kev, the character.
How close is he to the little Kevin Hart?
Very.
Real experiences in these stories?
Real upbringing.
Real mom and dad moments.
My mom and dad were never together.
That separation, that relationship that they had through my upbringing was special.
Funny.
Now I can look back on it and grab all the humor from it.
But that dynamic of love, hate, and problem was one that I was really in the middle of.
Having the older brother, having my uncle, and having my mom be the spiritual but strict
enforcer that she was.
Where I fit in in school, where the bullying came in, how I got around it.
All of those things are really coming from the mind of a member.
I think the audience is going to respond to it because it's relatable.
Anybody coming from the culture and from that environment of the hood, you're going
to be able to go, oh, I had moments that were the same, if not equally a lot.
Now, are there any specific memories that influenced the show?
Absolutely.
I put the teacher bit in there.
Oh, the cussing.
Yeah, when I went to cuss out the teacher.
Classic Kevin Hart right there.
I put the whole scene in there.
Whole scene of me going in and why and how I got to cussing out the teacher.
My mom didn't happen to come to the school and fess up of what I said that she said.
Her saying it but being honest and then her cussing the teacher out.
Because the teacher said some stuff that she didn't like.
My first fight with the bully and how I had success in throwing the first punch.
I thought because of that the fight was over.
And then the bully went on to whoop my ass after.
You found out that the bully could fight and the advice I got from my uncle was wrong,
which was just hit him first.
Don't no bully expect you to hit him.
Swing on him first and watch everything change.
You literally are one of the greatest storytellers of our time.
And for you to take the stuff that we have known you for in your stand up and hearing
all these amazing stories and now to see it animated, man, I mean, that's next level.
Thank you, man.
All right.
What do you call it if Lil Kev gets beat up by a group of elderly people?
What do I call it if Lil Kev gets beat up by a group of elderly people?
I mean, a bad day?
What do you call it?
A heart attack.
Okay.
Because they old with your name heart and they attacking your ass.
That's funny.
You can put that in an episode.
A bunch of old people whoop your ass.
A heart attack.
Okay.
What country's capital is growing the fastest in the world?
How do you not know this?
You really don't know this?
I don't know. What?
Ireland.
It's Dublin.
You're a comedic genius.
Somebody's about to make the set.
All right.
What do tires reminisce about?
The times when they used to roll?
What is it?
The good years.
That's actually classic.
That's good.
The thing about the good years.
Right.
I get it.
All right.
One more.
You go.
All right.
Why did the DJ use...
Is this baloney?
There you go.
Public school education.
Hold on.
Hold on now.
Baloney.
Balongenese.
That's how you spell baloney.
Balongenese.
Why did the DJ use balanaga?
Balanaga?
No, it's baloney, Kevin.
Get out of here.
That's how you spell it.
That's how you spell baloney.
I've never seen it.
Never seen it.
You ought to meet Baloney.
I never ate baloney.
This is news to me.
I'm going to write this down.
Yo, baloney got a first name.
Balongenese.
Why did the DJ use baloney instead of albums on his turntable?
Because he wanted to have a cold cut.
No.
Oh, ----.
Yeah, that's actually right.
Because he wanted some cold cuts.
Yeah, that's good.
See?
I really didn't notice how you spelled baloney.
I wasn't faking it.
That was a real dumb moment that you captured on camera.
Do what you want with that.
That's all you.
Why now?
Why animation?
We both dads.
I mean, I always love when I can do content that my kids can enjoy.
I've seen you around your kids.
You're an amazing father.
Was that amazing?
Yeah, I mean, look.
You're in a time of our lives where everything you do is for your kids.
We're out of the stages of care and want for ourselves.
It's all about what can impact and what can infect and what will they like and enjoy.
So the more that you can do for them, the better.
If this takes off and it gets to a place of merchandise, lunchboxes, backpacks, toys,
anything in that space, I will achieve an amazing goal, a personal one.
And to have them possibly be in a position where they can play with the things that are
reminiscent of their father or their father's old times, that would be huge, man.
So it's definitely kid-specific with a touch of passion of my personal desire to tap into
all spaces in the entertainment business, just to say that I have.
And it's dope because it is a family show, so the parents can enjoy this as much as the kids.
Absolutely.
This style of humor that we got going right here.
What do you call?
I'm just going to personalize this.
What do you call Lil Kev with glasses?
What do I call Lil Kev with glasses?
I don't know.
Short sighted.
Okay.
I know you heard that.
No, I've never heard that.
Because you short.
No, I get it.
Because it's near sighted.
I know what you're saying.
And it's far sighted.
I get it, Nick.
With your little ass.
Yeah, I get it.
Short sighted.
I get it.
You're not laughing because it's about you.
No, I'm not laughing, Nick, because it was stupid.
Okay?
That's why.
You know, I tried to start a conversation with an elevator, but it just let me down.
That's stupid.
It's a delivery, man.
It's all the delivery.
It is.
You got the good delivery.
The joke's going to land.
Ain't no such thing as a bad dad joke.
Oh, wow.
This is mean.
Okay.
What's one thing an orphan can't take?
Oh, God.
A family photo.
Oh, come on, man.
Come on, man.
Who wrote this one?
Come on, man.
This is evil.
That can't be a dad joke.
That is a bad, bad dad joke.
There's no way that that's a dad joke.
What's one thing an orphan can't take?
A family...
Child support joke.
Jesus Christ.
A picture with dad.
Come on, man.
What is that?
This is fucked up.
God damn.
What are we doing?
We're just ruining kids' lives out here.
All right.
Did you know the Dodgers signed the Kool-Aid man?
You didn't know that?
I did not.
That's crazy.
He's a pitcher.
Yeah, because the Kool-Aid is in the pitcher.
Nobody...
Oh, yeah.
Busting through the wall.
That's a pitcher.
The Kool-Aid man is an actual pitcher.
You ain't gotta explain it to me.
You are a comedic genius.
I'm your number one fan.
Come on.
I could do these all day.
Besides Lil Kev, who's your favorite character on the show?
Besides me, Wanda Sykes.
Wanda Sykes is playing my mom.
Oh, that's dope.
Wanda Sykes playing my mom is a big W.
Of course, having Wanda is always a plus just because of the amazing talent that she is.
But seeing what Wanda was able to bring to the character, man.
That's dope, man.
And the world knows this.
They've seen us together for what, almost 30 years now?
Yeah, it's been a long time.
I didn't get a call, an audition for a voice or no ---- like that.
Because everybody knows what you sound like.
Everybody knows what Wanda Sykes sound like.
I didn't.
You're supposed to be my best friend.
I didn't think about that.
When you say it like that, I'm like, damn.
I can't be the voice of the dog.
Now that you say that.
I got kids too.
I'm just saying, but now that you say it the way you said it.
My kids want to enjoy this.
My kids are friends.
No, I got to get in.
I'm going in the think tank.
No, because what you just said.
Everything I do, I include him.
And this is where we got to get better.
This is where we got to get better.
Yeah, I got it.
Let's get back to the damn jokes.
I'm mad now.
I don't even want to do this ----.
By the way, rightfully so.
You're supposed to be my best friend.
No, for sure.
The only way I found out that he had a cartoon is, I'm turning on the TV.
Nobody let me know.
What's black and funny with curly hair that can be used to start a barbecue grill?
Black, funny, curly hair can be used to start a barbecue grill?
Sheryl Underwood.
What is that?
What's the answer?
That's true.
You can go whoop your ass for saying that.
What's the answer?
A Dion Cole.
But then Sheryl Underwood was funnier.
Because that was a black joke.
That's what you did there.
Who is DoorDash's main competition when it comes to deliveries?
When it comes to deliveries, you don't know this?
Main competition when it comes to deliveries.
Who's delivering more than DoorDash?
Nick Cannon.
It's a boy.
It's a girl.
Twins.
That's a dad joke.
I got a lot of kid deliveries.
I get it.
But you didn't say it.
I didn't get it at first.
I got it when you explained it.
That's probably the worst one of the show.
I wish you would say that.
That was horrible.
Why are you talking about my kids?
See, this was supposed to be a good episode.
I'm coming here to support my friend.
Now you want to talk about my personal life of having a lot of kids.
That's not funny.
I'm reading this on the goddamn paper.
Somebody's going to be fired.
Don't make fun of me.
I'm a good father.
I got to go pick up some kids after this.
I think you're a great father.
Why did Lil Kev give a cheese steak to the woman who had her purse stolen?
He heard she needed a hero.
Okay.
This is it.
You done?
I'm going to do one more.
I'm going to go get in the ******* tub.
Alright.
Oh, Nick.
This is crazy.
You know, I saw a baker break up with his girlfriend.
Yeah.
A baker.
He broke up with his girlfriend, which is crazy.
He said he needed space.
Think about it.
Yeah.
No?
They all not going to be good.
Give me one more.
We going to redeem ourselves with this.
Last one.
Why didn't the bicycle go to the club?
Why?
Because it was too tired.
That's not bad.
That's good.
That's not bad.
Oh, we don't go to the club no more.
Too tired.
This is my closure.
You know, I saw my bodybuilder friend trying different sauces the other day.
I guess you could say those were weighted dips.
Bodybuilder.
There we have it, ladies and gentlemen.
This has been another amazing episode of Celebrity Dad Jokes with my so-called best friend.
I want to talk to you about some stuff.
We've done this, man.
Lil Kev.
Lil Kev, man.
Make sure you guys go watch it.
Go stream it on BET+.
Dropping March 6th.
Man, you gotta love the hustle and bustle of my amazing neighborhood.
Get ready to be amazed by your boy, Lil Kev.
My little boy is growing up.
Get your stinking hands off of me.
Hey, that's my little brother, Kevin, you laughing at.
You gotta be talking.
This is MCER coming at you live.
Let me break it down.
Hit me too.
It's going down, man.
I'm not in it.
Come on, man.
That's ridiculous, Nick.
That's ridiculous, but guess what?
Season two.
I can audition?
Well, we can talk.
Let's talk offline.
