Meet Dr. Clifford Stoomy from College Hacked.
He had three different YouTube channels
and they all got views,
but he was making almost no money from them.
And this was after doing YouTube for years.
Then in one conversation,
he discovered how to make an extra $24,000 a year, right?
Literally one conversation with me
where he made a few shifts
and it immediately added $24,000 a year
in reoccurring revenue.
And that was just the beginning.
And the crazy part is he didn't need more views,
he just needed to monetize correctly.
Now, Clifford and I bonded over the fact
that we both went through the college system
and got doctorates.
Clifford has a PhD and he had several different channels.
And on one of them, he talked about pop songs.
But his main channel, College Hacked,
he helped people navigate
the complex world of college degrees.
And after our conversations,
we determined that his other two channels
didn't have nearly as much revenue potential.
However, College Hacked had a lot of potential.
And from our conversation,
he was able to turn the knowledge that I gave to him
into a thriving YouTube business.
And in this video,
I'm gonna get into exactly how he did it.
Now, quick note,
if you want to learn to monetize your YouTube channel,
just like Clifford did,
there's a link in the description
where you can book a free call with myself and my team
and have a conversation very much like we had with Clifford.
And by the way,
I hope you don't mind me calling you Clifford, Dr. Stoomy.
All respect to you, PhDs are very difficult to get.
But just to set things up a little bit
and kind of give you a little bit of a backstory,
with his channel, College Hacked,
he actually helps people to graduate from college
significantly faster than what it usually takes.
And you guys know that I am a massive fan
of alternative education.
I hate how the education system in colleges
basically try to cram everyone
through the same exact meat grinder,
even though it's pretty obvious
that some degrees shouldn't take four years
and you should be able to get them done much faster.
And so that's exactly what Clifford helps people do.
And believe it or not,
and I even did a series on this on my channel,
you can graduate with a legit college degree
in many cases in less than a year.
And I did a series on my channel,
but of course, Clifford deep dives on this, right?
He is the go-to expert for this type of thing.
But he had a problem that many YouTubers face.
He was really good at getting views.
I mean, really, really good.
He had three different channels
and they all performed relatively well.
But views, unfortunately, don't pay the bills.
You need to be able to properly monetize those views.
Hey, my name is Clifford Stoomy.
I've got a couple of different YouTube channels,
but something I've always struggled with
is turning the views
that I'm pretty good at getting actually, into dollars,
which can be a lot trickier,
but is actually usually the end goal
that you're aiming for with a YouTube channel
or something like that.
And Clifford was giving a massive amount of value
to his audience.
And everyone was incredibly grateful for it,
but he wasn't properly monetizing.
Now, this is significantly more common than you think.
Lots of creators get views, but they make no money.
And to be completely honest with you,
YouTubers in general are not very good at business.
Oftentimes with channels that I work with,
we end up making sometimes three, five times more,
sometimes even over 10 times more
than what they're currently making.
So he had the audience, he had the content,
but he wasn't seeing the financial results.
Then Clifford and I connected.
We discovered that we had a lot in common.
We both had doctorates,
we're both very big fans of alternative education,
and we're both fans of schools
that allow students to graduate faster,
like WGU and TESU.
Shane knows what he is talking about.
He's been around for a while.
And I know this because he and I both share niches.
I found out that he had a doctorate
and I've got a doctorate.
So we have some things in common.
And so it was really, really great for me
to get to chat with him.
Now, by the way, guys,
if you're curious about how I've grown this YouTube channel
and how I make these videos so entertaining yet educational,
I am gonna be hosting a live YouTube training on Tuesday
at 9 p.m. Eastern Standard Time,
where I basically just revealed the exact strategies
that I used to grow my channel
to multiple six figures per month.
So that's another free training for you.
But here's where we differed.
I knew how to monetize, and at the time, he didn't.
And in our conversation,
I showed Clifford something very simple.
He was leaving a ton of money on the table, lots of it.
And in most of our conversation,
we didn't talk about getting views.
And we didn't even talk about making more videos.
We talked about monetization strategy.
He gave me a ton of really, really great advice
that actually basically made me something
like $24,000 more per year
without really having to do much of anything.
That's right, $24,000 per year from one conversation.
And he sent me this testimonial
right after we had the conversation.
So he's making a lot more money than that now.
And he really didn't have
to change his content strategy hardly at all.
In fact, he was making pretty much the same content
and he was recommending the same resources.
But after our conversation,
he was making significantly more money.
For instance, I noticed he was recommending
certain companies and he didn't even have
an affiliate link for them.
So Clifford took action on everything we discussed
and he implemented the strategies
and he optimized his approach.
And honestly, based on the advice that he has given me
and some of the action steps going forward
that I'll be taking as a direct result,
that number is probably going to go up significantly.
And 24,000 annual recurring revenue was just the beginning.
And it did go up significantly.
Some of my clients are a little shy
about talking about how much they make
and I totally respect that.
But let's just say he's giving a massive amount of value
to the market and he is monetizing significantly
more effectively now.
And he's doing it from YouTube channels
that he already had,
making very similar videos to what he made before
with audiences that he already built.
And let's talk a little bit more
about what Clifford actually does.
He helps people make smart decisions about college.
And with a PhD himself,
he understands the education system inside and out.
And his content helps people choose the right degree.
Plus it helps them avoid the student loan trap
and maximize their education investment.
Think about how valuable this is, right?
The wrong degree can cost someone
hundreds of thousands of dollars
and the right degree can change
their entire life trajectory.
And Clifford provides guidance
that saves people from massive mistakes.
And that's obviously worth paying for.
And I love working with creators like Clifford
where it's very obvious
they're giving a massive amount of value,
but they just don't know how to monetize it correctly.
But quickly, let's talk about the three channel problem
because this is an important lesson from Clifford's story.
He had three YouTube channels
and he was putting pretty much equal effort
into all three of them.
And they all got views.
He's a really good content creator and YouTuber.
People love watching his channels
because he's really good at giving value,
breaking things down and solving people's problems.
And like I said, these channels all got views
but he was spreading himself too thin
and this made monetization harder.
So we identified which channel
had the most monetization potential
and we focused our efforts there first.
And sometimes less is more.
One properly monetized channel
beats three channels making nothing.
So if you're in the same type of situation
where you have a channel,
you're getting a lot of views,
but you're not making money,
let's fix that immediately.
Book a free call through the link in the description
and the pinned comment below.
And we'll create a monetization plan
that actually works for you.
Now, monetization isn't just about tactics.
It's about understanding the business of YouTube.
There are a lot of not only tangible,
but intangibles that I've also gained
from viewing how he does his work
and then getting to talk with him
about how all of that happens behind the curtains
and figuring out his process
and his perspective on YouTube.
And through my help,
Clifford learned how successful YouTubers really think,
how they structure their businesses
and how they maximize revenue.
And this behind the scenes knowledge
is just as valuable as specific tactics.
So what can you learn from Clifford's story?
First, views alone don't equal success.
There are lots of creators out there
that are getting tons of views
and they're not making any money.
And it's typically because
they're making the wrong type of content,
which Clifford was doing
with two out of his three channels,
and they're not monetizing correctly.
Second, you might already have what you need.
In Clifford's case,
he didn't need a new channel or more views.
He just needed a better monetization strategy.
And third, expertise matters.
If you're not good at business
and you wanna save yourself like three years
of banging your head against the wall,
trying to figure out
how to properly monetize your channel,
then just find somebody who is good at business
and then learn from them.
And that brings me to number four,
which is one conversation can change everything.
The right advice at the right time
with an expert who's seen it all can be invaluable.
And by the way,
if you made it this far into the video,
only for the first five people who book a call,
we're going to be doing a free monetization audit.
And what we'll do is
we'll figure out where you are right now,
we'll figure out what your goal is,
we'll make a plan to get there,
and then we'll see if we're a good fit
to work together or not.
But only for the first five people
and only until the end of the week.
So click the link right now.
Don't wait on it.
So here's how to follow Clifford's path.
Step one, audit your current situation.
Do you have views but no money?
That's a monetization problem.
Step two, focus on one channel first.
Don't spread yourself thin.
This is a very common mistake that I see people making,
both beginners and advanced,
where they just spread themselves too thin
and they're going in like three
or four different directions all at once, right?
Don't be like freaking Elon Musk with 17 companies.
What you don't realize is behind the scenes,
Elon Musk has CEOs running those companies for him.
And I think entrepreneurs in general,
we just tend to be a little bit scatterbrained
and we tend to kind of have shiny object syndrome.
So it's really important that you just focus on the thing
that's gonna get you the best results.
Then later on, you can expand.
Step three, identify your unique expertise.
What do you know that others need?
And what specific problems does your audience have
that you can solve for them
in the form of a product or a service?
And step four, create high value offers.
If you're solving big problems, charge accordingly.
Then step five, implement proper monetization strategies,
including email lists, sales funnels, and premium products.
Then step six, keep optimizing, right?
Your first attempt won't be perfect.
You gotta try a few different things
and you have to tinker and always keep improving.
And the biggest change for Clifford wasn't technical.
It was mental.
He stopped thinking like a content creator
and he started thinking like a business owner.
Videos became lead generation tools,
viewers became potential customers,
and content became part of a larger strategy.
And I think a lot of people like Clifford
are afraid that if they sell something,
that it's gonna actually hurt their audience.
And that's just not the case
as long as you sell the right way.
Now, generally speaking, my overall philosophy on YouTube
and how to monetize correctly
is anything that doesn't take any extra time
after you originally do it,
just give that away for free, right?
So all the stuff like information, for instance,
just give information away for free.
However, monetize the implementation, right?
So anything that takes extra amounts of your time
or your team's time ongoing, monetize that.
But this is just generally speaking,
and obviously there's like a million different types
of channels out there
and a million different ways of monetizing.
And figuring this out is what separates hobby channels
from business channels.
Yeah, he's a great guy.
He'll definitely help you out.
And I definitely recommend that you work with him.
And here's what's powerful about proper monetization.
Once you set it up, it keeps working.
Every old video can generate revenue.
Every new viewer can become a customer.
And Clifford's channels are now assets for him.
They work for him 24 seven.
He creates the content once and it generates income forever.
Now, remember what Clifford said?
He made an extra 24,000 a year
without really having to do much of anything.
That's the power of proper monetization.
If you're getting a lot of views already,
you're probably sitting on a gold mine
and you don't even know it.
And in many cases, you don't need to work harder.
You just need to work smarter on the right things.
And Clifford didn't have to create more content.
He didn't have to chase more views.
He just monetized what he already had.
And the crazy thing is,
a lot of creators have everything dialed in
except for one thing,
which is kind of the most important thing,
and that's monetization.
Because at the end of the day,
that is the purpose of YouTube.
I mean, unless you're doing it for a hobby,
that's totally fine.
But if you want it to be sustainable,
something that you're actually able to make money from,
you have to properly monetize.
And Clifford had everything dialed in
except for monetization strategy.
And one conversation changed that.
And now he's absolutely crushing it.
And your situation might be similar.
You might be one strategy away from the breakthrough.
And the question is,
will you take action like Clifford did?
So let's cut to the chase.
You've watched this whole video,
you've seen Clifford go from zero to absolutely crushing it,
and you know that it's possible.
So what's stopping you?
Every day you wait is money you're not making.
Every day you delay is opportunities that you're missing.
And whether you already have an audience,
but you're not monetizing them,
or maybe you're a business owner
and you need to build an audience,
or you're a beginner,
but you know that you've been needing
to build a personal brand for a long time.
And you know that YouTube is the best place to do that.
But you don't wanna go through years of trial and error,
figuring it out on your own,
then book a call in the description
and the pin comment below.
I help Clifford unlock multiple six figures
and I can help you too.
But I can't help everyone.
I work with a limited number of people at a time.
And we provide personalized strategies,
not just cookie cutter advice, right?
We sell the implementation
and we give all the information away for free.
So if you're serious about monetizing your YouTube channel,
don't wait, book a call in the description
and the pin comment below.
And like I said,
first five people that click that link
will get a free audit.
And it's only the first five people
and it's only until the end of the week.
