So chill.
Yeah, we had to. It's been like the last kind of three months we've been thinking about it,
making sure that we can be good parents and he's a boy, he's a boy, making sure we can be good
parents for him and finally decided let's make the step. And I was a bit nervous the day before.
We got him yesterday. I got him on my birthday. I was a bit nervous. But the second,
the second we got him, it's just been the most special thing ever. He's literally the
best thing in the world. And he's going to have the best time, going to travel with me,
going to come play golf. I need to teach you how to pick up my tees on the tee box. Yeah.
Right. Do you want to go back? I've got to be careful.
The Ferrari updates and joins the McLaren pair.
Four times 81. Are you okay?
I had 324.
No trophy shines brighter than your kindness Lando.
Lewis, yesterday you were here. I mean, last year you were here.
Was the second one or the first one? Well, today, I'm not really sure. I think I was fifth.
But luckily we are not racing yet.
Not so fast, Max. Never underestimate a child's sincerity.
I got a Mercedes in my grandma's home.
You know that you have a new friend now, Max. Yeah. Welcome to Formula 1.
Lando Norris claims his 37th career podium.
Disappointed.
Yes. Can I sign your top?
Just trying to improve race by race. It was good to get some time off, come back and straight into
it. We had a third place in Spa in the sprints. It wasn't exactly like a normal podium and I'm
super pleased for all the guys. When you heard Perez had five seconds penalty, I guess you're
pushing flat out in the last few laps. I was pretty upset. I got a five second penalty
during the race and I was like, OK, now it's one lap.
Good clean, Oscar.
There we go. Looks so much better.
How's life, Oscar? Good, thanks.
Oh, it's Fernando that's in the tyre. It's a dog toy, Oscar.
OK. It is nice, though, isn't it? It's really nice.
Do you have a dog toy lookalike?
No. We should start the recording, shouldn't we?
We'll get one. No, we have started the recording.
Oh, we have started the recording. Welcome to the Fast and the Curious with
her, Betty Glover, him, Christian Hugill, me, Team Principal Greg James.
And who's that over there? Oscar Piastri.
I've just been with Carlos Sainz over at Williams and he had some lovely things to say about you,
not surprisingly. One of the things he said was, I think it was actually really powerful.
He said that you're the most open driver on the grid, but that in the modern world,
sometimes people can almost use that against you, like you're really honest and then people say,
oh, now you're too honest. Yeah.
So how important is it to you to be this open book that you are?
It's tricky. I don't know. I don't know if it's like about importance. You know,
it's like I'm trying to be like this because I think it's important.
I'm just being myself and I'd rather be myself and try to be something I'm not. I'd rather do
what I enjoy in my life and feel like I've just done what I feel like I should have done in my
life and try to pretend I'm someone else or try to pretend like I'm the racing driver that everyone
thinks you need to be or should be on. You know, a lot of people like to kind of set these
stereotypes. But and some things are probably right and along better lines. For me, I just
I just want to enjoy my time here. I work hard. I do everything I can to win races and
and try to be the best. But that's it. Other than that, I'm here to to enjoy my life,
share it with others and try to stand on the top step. And that's as simple as I try and keep it.
The first chicane in the last corner. But I ask you, I'm back again. Ask. Ask. Yeah. But I'm
hoping there are more corners which suit us next week. Yeah. And the week after and the week after,
especially Melbourne, especially Melbourne. Yeah. It's going to look nasty. Land of the
Piastri. That would be good. Land of the Piastri. Yeah. He's a Melbourne hometown boy.
Staying at home. I think we'll be all right there. I hope we'll be all right. I mean,
we don't know. Sorry to hijack the interview, but how do you think the race went?
How was the last corner for you, mate? I wish it didn't exist.
I was deciding just to cut the whole thing every lap. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Last corner was
shocking today. I honestly could have drove any road car in the world, even a reliant Robin around
the last corner quicker than I thought. Oh, 100 percent. I felt like I was on one. So yeah,
plenty of things for us to improve on. But we knew that before the race. We knew that before
qualifying. We knew that before the season almost. So, yeah, that's it. Love your stuff.
We can let you go. We're going to keep you for a bit. Thank you very much, Lando. Appreciate it,
man. Well done. Lando's gone the wrong way. Oscar, what a race. I think you probably a little bit
hard done by today. A nice rundown of exciting rundown into turn one. But the tires ultimately
not quite up to temp and losing the position. Yeah, I think there was a few things we
we should have done a little bit better in that race. I think strategy and pit stops
maybe wasn't our slickest evening of our lives. But, yeah, I tried my best to hang on.
I mean, we have tire warners and tire blankets, but it really didn't feel like it into turn one.
So, yeah, I at least had a bit of entertainment, even if I was on the bad end of it.
