The problem with living in Bali is that
you can't take a day off. Today I was
supposed to take a rest day. I've been
surfing pretty much every single day. I
don't even know the last time I took a
day off. And I was like, "Okay, the
forecast looks super tiny. Today is the
smallest day. I'm not going to go out.
I'm going to be productive. I'm going to
get some work done." And so I go to
yoga, I eat, and then I come back home.
I sit down. I open up my laptop. I'm
like, "All right, let's go." And I'm in
this group chat of about 30 different
surfer girls here. And a bunch of them
messaged and they're like, "Oh my god,
the waves are fire." Sending videos of
the waves and they said, "It's not
crowded." Um, one girl just got out
said, "It's super fun." I mean, it was a
bit messy, but still it was great. And I
was like, "Okay, I can't just like sit
here and answer emails. Like, I have to
surf." And so, I like sent one email,
hit send, I put all my sunscreen on and
drove as fast as I possibly could. I was
driving like a crazy person before the
tide got too high cuz I was like, "I got
to get a surf in." I was like, "Okay,
I'm just going to do a really quick
session, then I'll go back to work." And
I stayed out for three hours. Yeah. And
now it's like 4:15. I have just now
showered. I am back at my house and it's
Friday. Like I don't know how much work
I'm gonna get done. And I have to keep
working at night because I can't work
during the day because I can't stop
surfing and I can't take a day off. Like
I have ne I've lived in a lot of places
and I've surfed in a lot of places, but
it is so consistent and there's always a
wave here. There's so many surf spots.
Yes, it is crowded, but man, it is
really hard to like not surf for a day.
And like generally for me personally, I
tr I serve when the waves are good. I
surf or when I can surf and then I work
when it's not or if it's flat or
whatever. I try to get a bunch of work
done. But it's never really flat here.
There's always something. There's always
a wave. It's crazy. Like literally, if
you're willing to drive, you can always
surf here. It's literally mental.
