Bonjour!
I am still in summer holidays mode here in our farmhouse in France! Our friend Pascalle visited us and she always likes to go brocante shopping. We went to a brocante shop I had never gone to before and I am happy to share it with you in this video!
If you want to visit "La Broc' des Amis", here is the address:
21 D906, 71240 Varennes-le-Grand
This means it is on the D906 road, once you enter the village from the west, you will see it on your right hand side. This is the Google link https://share.google/vonB09G15fGf8PcUJ
As always, thanks so much for watching! See you soon!
Love,
Marloes

Bonjour. I hope you're all doing well. I
am still in summer holiday mode, taking
care of our guests and just enjoying
these beautiful long summer days. Our
friend Pascala came. She helps Olaf with
the building works. By the way, I hope
to give you an update on our building
works in one of the upcoming videos. And
Pascal was here and she always loves to
go broant shopping. So, we actually
found a new shop. One of you actually
told me about this shop. I didn't know
it was there. It's about 15inute drive,
so it's quite far. It's called Labro
Desi and it's a group of friends or a
group of people that are using this
space and everybody has a couple of
square meters in this space. And the big
building has lots of really special
finds, vintage items, like really
special, out of the ordinary things.
It's the kind of roant that I don't
necessarily buy, but that I love seeing
because it shows so much of the
personality of the seller. And I found
this particular one had really many many
special items that you don't see very
often which we both really really liked.
These more the foot

This is

Yeah.
This is our bunk.
Yeah.
days.
Yeah.
You regular viewers have told me that in
these videos you know exactly what I'm
going to buy. So you probably guessed
it. I bought this really beautiful blue
gray bottle.
I'm down.

window.
Yeah.
Good morning.
There's some

Yeah,
just here.
an out
here.
Don't pet here.
Yeah, that's for fish. And I'm
explaining to Pascala in Dutch that this
was used to poach fish. It's actually
still used for that. But it's one of
those items that makes you think about
how people cooked and how much effort
went in. Like imagine somebody fishing
and catching this huge fish and bringing
it back home and whoever is responsible
for making the meals at home would
actually prepare that huge fish.
And then there was a second building
which is actually just a tent. The
people were really nice and they were so
happy when I told them I wanted to film.
They were just so proud that I wanted to
show their place. I have put the address
for this in the description box.
I would actually love to find a
beautiful sheet, but my beds are very
big. We have king-size beds in our own
home, and I have never found sheets that
are big enough because traditionally
before we had duvys or comforters, these
were used with blankets and beds
typically were very small. And actually,
some French couples that we know still
have a very small bed. I love having
lots of space, but I have never been
able to find sheets because all these
old sheets were for smaller beds. So,
they are never big enough for the beds
that we have in our home.
What is

our tools.
Yeah.
And here the hawker.
As I was editing this part of the video,
I had so much nonviers regret. I would
have loved to have one of these special
chopping knives to chop herbs. And I
would have loved to get one of those
dough cutter tool things for my friend
who recently graduated as a pastry chef.
So maybe that will be a good excuse to
go back to this store very soon.

This guy could

And this brings us to the end of this
week's video. This is a little southeast
of Shaon.
The address is in the description box.
Thank you so much for watching and do
let me know if you've spotted anything
that you would have bought in a comment.
I am going back to my lovely summer days
here in the French countryside and I'll
be back with a new video very soon.
