Good morning guys, welcome to day six of the quarantine.
I've just realised this is like Vlogmas.
Yeah, there's a thing called Vlogmas
where YouTubers daily vlog Christmas.
Maybe we'll call this Lockmas.
That's really weird because it's meant to be at Christmas.
Oh yeah, you don't need the muss.
Anyway, welcome, welcome.
Hope you guys are doing well wherever you are.
Hope you're not getting too bored if you're stuck indoors.
Hope you're keeping safe, hope you're keeping healthy.
Starting the vlog off early today.
It is still actually the morning.
Lucy and I, one thing I've noticed that's been different,
one thing I've noticed that has been different
with our routine,
just gonna wake up some coffee this morning,
like every morning,
is that we have been getting so much more sleep
than usual, haven't we?
Yeah.
Like 10 hours.
11, 12 hours.
I've been very tired in the evening still.
Yeah, we haven't, yeah.
And we haven't been outside,
so it's not like we've been wearing ourselves out.
I don't really understand why.
Yeah, I'm not sure why we're sleeping so much,
but maybe it's because we're like...
Getting up.
Yeah, we're like,
we don't really have to be up in the morning,
so we're lying in bed a little bit longer.
It's kind of annoying, but it's okay,
because it is such long days these days anyway, isn't it?
You say that,
but I do feel like the days have been going quite quickly.
True, that's the reason we've been getting up late.
So we're splitting the jobs fairly today, guys.
Lucy's making up some delicious looking sausages.
They're not sausages.
This is bread.
This is pesto bread.
It's delicious.
Have some eggs.
And we've got no vegetables still,
so our food shop that's been meant to come for three days now
still hasn't.
We haven't had any emails,
so today I think we're going to have to go to the shops,
because we've kind of run out of food.
We've got some tip things left,
but no vegetables, no meat.
Today, there's a...
No, I need to charge this camera a little bit.
On the small Sony today,
because we are the first time since the quarantine,
we're actually going to leave the apartment building,
because we need to go.
And this is allowed.
We're also going to wear our masks.
We're going to sanitize.
We're not going to touch things.
We're going to try and stay away from people.
We have no idea how busy it's going to be.
We have no idea if there's going to be stock in the shops.
But we're allowed to leave.
We've been self-quarantining.
We have to quarantine,
unless it's for food or medical supplies.
We've run out of food, so we're leaving.
That's the thing.
We haven't run out of food.
We've got some basics, but we've got no vegetables.
We've got no meat.
We've got no bread.
We've got no eggs.
So, yeah, we're going to go out.

First things first, guys, home workout.
Lucy just finished hers.
Follow our Instagrams, by the way.
Loads of behind the scenes,

Time for my workout, and then we're going to go out.
By the way, we don't want to go out.
If our food shop had come yesterday,
if it had been delivered,
that was the reason we ordered online,
because we thought then we're not going to have to go out.
So, just so you guys know,
we wouldn't be going out unless we needed to,
and unless we needed some food.
So, yeah, just wanted to make that clear, doesn't,
so you guys don't think we're just gallivanting around
for no reason.
We're just literally going to go in, come back out.
Oh, I think this is supposed to get easier,
but it's not yet.
Okay, all showered and ready to leave.
So, we haven't actually left here.
This is our fourth day indoors,
which is kind of crazy for us,
because I've never not left this apartment since having it,
throughout the whole day.
I've never stayed in all day.
I've always been out for like a walk in the evening,
even if we spent most of the day indoors.
So, to be honest,
I'm quite looking forward to getting out,
and just walking around and getting some fresh air.
Obviously, we're not going to stay out
for longer than we need to.
We're purely just going out to get these groceries,
but it's weird, like we were saying in the vlog the other day,
like how normally we're not particularly grateful
for just walking around.
It's just like expected.
So, the fact that now we're like excited
just to take a walk to the shops,
kind of shows,
kind of makes you feel like
you should be more grateful normally.
Yeah, we're just going to stock up on some bits.
I've been seeing videos and things online showing the shops.
I mean, when we were in Robinson's the other day,
it was absolutely manic.
So, I'm kind of expecting that again today.
There's a lot of panic buying going on in Manila, I think.
And although the shops are staying open,
people don't want to go out to the shops
like all the time during the 30 days.
So, I think people are kind of stocking up
and trying to buy as much as they can,
enough stuff to keep them going for 30 days,
to stop them going out.
So, it's understandable why people
are kind of buying a load of stuff.
But it does mean that it's a bit hectic.
And I don't know,
I just hope people are just buying what they need
and not overdoing it,
leaving none for everyone else.
So, we're going to get a bit today,
stock up and we want to buy some oranges and stuff
and get some things that have lots of vitamin C in.
It's a shame our shop didn't come
because it literally had everything we need right now in it.
All like the fresh fruit and veg and meat, but it's fine.
You can understand that they're fully busy.
Maybe we'll get an email from them today.
Maybe the shop will turn up when we get back
and we'll have double food.
That's fine, we could just freeze some stuff,
but yeah, let's get going.
Let's go outside.
It's a beautiful day.
My Instagram said it's like 34 degrees today.
So, very, very warm and it's kind of midday now.
So, maybe it's the wrong time to go out.
Maybe we'll get a bit too hot,
but the sun's shining.
So, a bit of vitamin D on our skin is never a bad thing.

I feel really, really weird going out.
I actually forgotten where my wallet was, but it's here.
Haven't spent any money.
We are saving money, I think.
I haven't spent any money for days now.
Okay, we're going to head out,
see what the situation's like outside.
Hopefully, not too many queues in the shops.
Let's go.
I can't tell you how strange this feels,
being out and about.
Even like walking, not in the apartment.
It sounds silly, like it's only been a few days,
but being in one place for so long
and then seeing the outside again,
it's like, ah, crazy, but it's so quiet.
It does feel weird.
It does feel really weird.
We've been like three cars since we left.
It's mental.
There's a handful of people out and about,
but they're not in groups.
There's not like friends hanging out.
If you can see people on a mission,
they can't get their food, they're going home,
or they're off to work.
What else is the situation like?
Ah, it's weird.
It's really weird.
Ghost town, guys.
Ghost town.
Not to compare this to a zombie apocalypse,
but there was a game I used to play on PlayStation,
Xbox, years ago, called Dead Rising,
and it was like a deserted town, deserted shopping mall,
and it was just like this.
It's really, really weird.
So this is the restaurant that we went to
on the day before it was all announced.
It's like the last one's open still,
even though it was kind of starting to close,
and also this place.
Yeah, that's all covered up.
We're not walking around here to say,
oh my God, it's closed, can't believe it.
On a mission to go to the shops.
But it's like, BGC is such a busy, vibrant city normally,
and there's people everywhere,
and this is just people on a mission
just to go to the shop.
That's what it is out.
Yeah.
So it's really weird.
I just want to repeat that we really didn't want to come out.
It was only because our food shop didn't arrive
that we're having to go and buy food,
because we don't have enough food.
That's the only reason.
We brought the little camera with us
just so we could be, it's a bit easier in the shops.
Exactly.
We're not going out to make a vlog
about what it looks like outside.
No.
It's that we've gone out to go do the food shop,
and we're daily vlogging the whole situation
that we're in now, so this is what we're doing today.
Yeah.
And that's what we're filming,
just to be fully security-guided.
It's not our intention to come out
and make a video outside.
And we don't advise anyone else to do it.

We've had so many messages from you
saying that you're indoors

You're helping everyone by staying indoors.
Some people can't, of course,

I think we may have to go in the back way.
Look at this.
This is usually the busiest street ever.
Four cars.
Two bikes.
Wow.
Check that out.
Thank you.
It's a bit of a taint,
but it's how close you should be.
I mean, they're still pretty close.
They're further than you'd normally stand.
And they're only letting a certain amount of people
in to shop at one time,
so we're now waiting for our turn.
And as soon as we leave,
someone else will be let in,
so it's like one in, one out type thing.
But I think we need to despise as much as we can,
because it's gonna take a long time
every time we come out,
so I guess we need to try and minimalise that.
But they have set on a boundary
of how much each person can buy,
but also mainly for dry foods and stuff.
So vegetable-wise, I think we can stock up.
Okay, we've made it in.
There's quite, there's a lot of food here.
I thought it might,
we haven't been around to the meat section yet,
but there's a lot of vegetables,
a lot of fresh stuff.
It seems like deliveries are still coming in.
Got some cucumber.
Okay, pork is running very low.
I guess that's one of the most popular meats.
There's some here.
Similar situation with chicken and fish.
There's not much here.
That's breast.
Is it?
Yeah.
As we said in a vlog the other day,
sausages are in stock.
We're eating a lot of sausages,
not necessarily the healthiest,
but plenty of bread in this particular supermarket.
Plenty of pasta as well.
I mean, a lot is gone,
but there is still a lot left.
One thing that I'll say that I'm super impressed with,
everyone here is behaving.
Everyone here is social distancing.
Everyone here is sticking to the rules.
There was no problems in the queuing,
no problems around the store.
We've seen some awful things on social media,
particularly from back in the UK,
of like fights and arguments
and pushing and shoving and all this stuff.
And I have to say right now here,
I've seen none of that,
which is really, really good.
I am grabbing a few of these Philippines pale ales,
craft beers.
These are really good.
And they're in stock.
Just a message to my sister.
It's good to keep in contact with your family.
Let's send her a selfie.
You're on the vlog.
Wait, no.
Yeah.
So in terms of the actual queuing system here,
it's actually fine
because you don't queue at all to get to the hotel.
You do the queuing for me.
So it's probably the same amount of time in here.
That's a good point.
We definitely came at the right time.
Super long queue all the way back here,
just to get in.
And then they've got to queue again
once they're down the escalator.
So that cost probably two times the amount
we'd normally spend on a food shop.
Yeah, we normally, yeah, about two times.
We normally spend about half of that,
but we did buy more than we normally would
in a hope that we won't have to leave again for a while.
But now I feel like it's going to happen.
I feel like the food shop's going to arrive later
and then we're going to have too much stuff,
but we should be fine.
One more thing we need to buy is water
because we're kind of low on that.
But I think we're going to pop this back upstairs
and then just head to 7-Eleven to get a big water.
But yeah.
It's so hot.
It's so heavy, but it's good exercise.
So I'm grateful for the walk.
Something that I am going to do and have been doing
is, it sounds kind of weird,
but writing like a stock list, a stock sheet for,
like a restaurant would,
for everything we have in the cupboards and fridge,
just so that I can keep an eye on,
look how quiet this is, guys.
It's crazy.
Just so I can keep an eye on
what fresh food we've got in at the moment
and also what we need to be using up first.
So like, should we go, yeah?
Kind of using up the fresh stuff
before getting into the cupboard stuff that lasts longer.
That way we can just make sure
we're eating the right stuff in the right order.
Things don't go out of date because,
I mean, I don't like wasting food anyway,
but now would really not be a good time to not eat stuff,
let it go off.
So we need to be kind of strict on that.
But yeah.
I'd advise any of you to maybe do that as well
because I think it's quite a good way
to keep on top of it all.
But I'm really hungry.

So George is getting them calories burnt.

I'm going to make some spaghetti bolognese
for a kind of late lunch, early dinner kind of thing.
And maybe I'll hopefully...
I bought quite a lot of minced meat.
So hopefully I'll have enough
to be able to keep it in the fridge
and then have it for another meal.
It's to save cooking so often.
But to make the most of the fact
that we now have vegetables,
I'm going to put more extra vegetables in
than I usually do.
And I didn't find any spaghetti in the shop

So it's like a pasta bolognese

some onion, some carrots, some tomatoes.
And I'll cook all the mince up.
