Matter Is Made of Mind, Mind Is Not Made of Matter
In this discussion, we investigate how matter is made of mind and that it’s not, as conventional science claims, that mind is made of matter. A questioner asks for more information about a statement Rupert made — that sense perception doesn't give us an accurate model of reality and that only experience can.
Rupert explains that it is thought that is based upon a superficial interpretation of sense perception that suggests that what we essentially are is located in and generated by the body — just as thought tells us that the earth is flat, that the sun goes round the earth, that the world is outside of consciousness, made out of matter and exists in something called space and time.
But if we start with experience — all experience is known by consciousness and all experience is made of consciousness — we have a model of reality based strictly on our experience. In other words, in this consciousness-only model, the laws of physics still hold, but they are understood to be the laws that govern the way the mind unfolds or behaves in consciousness rather than laws that govern the behaviour of matter.
