If you lie awake with all of it, watch this | Eckhart Tolle

There is a moment almost everyone has had. You are absorbed in something, and for an hour the problem is simply not there. Then you remember it, and it is back in full. Eckhart Tolle says that is not a distraction. That is the mechanism. The place where your problems live is in your mind, and they exist only while you are thinking about them. He is careful with this. Of course problems refer to real situations. The situation does not vanish when you stop thinking. But a situation can only be faced, solved or accepted in the present moment, and nothing you will ever deal with arrives anywhere else. So what you actually face, at any given time, is one thing. Either you act on it or you do not. What people carry around instead is something much larger: a whole superstructure of my problematic life, assembled from the past and projected into the future, living entirely in thought. That is the burden, and he says almost everyone lives under it without noticing that most of its weight is mental. He connects this to why people defend their opinions so fiercely, and why a thought can feel like part of who you are. When identity is drawn from thinking, every thought becomes something to protect. That is what he means by egoic consciousness: the mind operating in you and pretending to be you. Eckhart goes much further into this in the full session. Join Eckhart Tolle Now to watch. 👇
