Hey everyone, it's me Serena. Welcome or welcome back to my channel.
Today I'm going to be styling one of this year's
hottest trends and that is cargo pants. You know, I'm not one to jump on
the bandwagon of every trend. I don't do that.
But cargo pants, cargo skirts, cargo shorts,
they are a style that I've always been fond of.
So I'm going to enjoy them being on trend right now. So that's
what we're going to do today. I've got a lot of looks
and of course everything that I show you in the video
will be linked down in the description. And don't forget
to hit that red subscribe button if you haven't
and give this video a thumbs up if you like it.
So now let's get with the try on. So I have a couple of different
cargo pants that I'm going to be styling today.
And this first pair is this tan kind of gold cargo pant in a camo pattern.
These are from Blank Noir. But I'm wearing it here just with a simple
white tank and I topped it off with this green
faux leather moto jacket from Scoop at Walmart that you guys have seen a ton on
my channel. And just sneakers and then a blingy
cross body bag. And I just love the way this looks
together. And you could use a black jacket or a
jean jacket or whatever kind of topper you wanted to.
But I thought the green was a little bit unexpected.
And it goes really nicely with the tone of these pants.
So this is just a great everyday casual look
featuring these tan camouflage cargo pants. Next up is something a little more
dressy. And it's the other pair of cargo pants
that I'm going to be styling in today's video.
These are the tensile jogger or tensile cargo jogger pants from Banana
Republic Factory. And I dressed it up by adding a cream
colored cami, a black blazer, and some black strappy
shoes. So this it just shows you the
versatility of these pants. They're that tensile fabric so it's very
soft and drapey. And I think it lends itself very very
nicely to be dressed up. So this is something you could wear out
on a day, out to dinner, whatever. And I love this look. In this
next look I'm doing something kind of similar but
with those tan joggers. I'm wearing the same cami.
I added this cream colored blazer and some nude strappy sandals.
I thought the cream color of this blazer and the gold buttons on it
went so nicely with the tone of these pants. And these pants have some gold
detail on them as well. Then with just a cream cami and these
nude shoes from Dream Pairs and
topped it off with my little quilted Lola Mae bag.
But this is another dressy way to wear these cargo joggers.
I love mixing dressy and casual together. It just adds a lot of
interest to your outfit. Can you wear cargo pants to work?
I think you can. Of course it depends on your workplace or your
dress code. But here's a workwear look I put together with those green joggers.
Added a black tank. That same black blazer that you saw
earlier. And then I'm wearing it with my black
Vivalia flats. I think this is a very work appropriate outfit. Again depending
on your workplace and what the dress code
is. And then all you had to do was take
that jacket off and swap out the flats for some sandals.
And then you'd have a very casual look. And you'll see that
coming up a little bit later in the video. This next look may be one of my
favorites out of the whole video. And it features
those same green joggers. And I added this navy
waffle knit top. Just did a little front tuck and let the back kind of hang
out freely. I added these sandals. These are the clog style sandals that are very
much on trend right now. These are also by
Dream Pairs. And then I brought in a little pop of
color with my circle bag from Portland Leather Goods.
I love this bright pop of yellow. I think it looks great with the navy
and the olive green. And it kind of matches back to the shoes
nicely as well. So this is just a really cute casual
outfit for every day. You could wear this to anything.
You know appointments, meetings, casual workplace,
or just out running your errands. You could really wear this
anytime, anywhere. If I'm looking a little bit tan today,
there's a reason for that. And I'm going to get into that and share
some makeup items that I'm using. I know you guys always like to know what
I'm wearing and what shades. I'm going to go over
that. And I'll have that link down in the description as well.
But I also wanted to take a moment to remind you to follow me on Instagram
and LTK. I post daily over there. You often get to see things first over
there before I have a chance to crank out a YouTube video. So be sure
you're following me over there for daily outfit inspiration.
And if you want to go straight to my LTK shop,
get out your phone and scan this QR code and you can go straight to my LTK
shop. And there I have all my outfits from
Instagram, Facebook, everywhere in one place with
shoppable links for everything. So be sure you're following me over there.
So the tan you see on my face is not real.
And speaking of tanning or not tanning, I have very sensitive skin and I have
had a terrible time finding facial sunscreen that
didn't break me out, didn't give me a rash, didn't sting,
didn't burn when I started to sweat it off. So
I got an email from this company called Ginger Armor asking me
if I would try out their sunscreen or it's a sunscreen and moisturizer
combined. This was created by a ginger, a redhead, who is a landscape
designer out in Southern California. So he's fair complected. He burns.
He's tried all these different sunscreens
and like myself, everything bothered him. It either broke him out,
inflamed his skin, did something irritable to his skin. So he
knew that he had to have something for protection
with the line of work that he does. So he took it upon himself
to develop this sunscreen. And I was skeptical, but I said sure.
They were going to send it to me. I said yes, I'll try it. It's a daily,
it's a mineral SPF 50 plus and daily moisturizer for your face
and any other sensitive skin. So your neck,
chest, anywhere that's kind of sensitive. That's what this is formulated for.
So I put it to the test. First, I tried it under my makeup
and you shake it up and then you spray it out into your hand
and rub it all over your face. And at first I was like,
oh no, this feels greasy. This is not gonna work.
But I let it just sit there for a few minutes.
I didn't apply makeup immediately after and after a few minutes
it soaked in and it wasn't greasy anymore.
So then I applied my makeup and everything went on just fine.
And I wore it throughout the day and I didn't have any breakdown of my makeup
or anything. And this has no
white cast either. A lot of the sunscreens,
you know, you do get that white look from them.
This has no white cast to it. So that's great.
Then I put it to the test out in the sun and exercising.
So I put it on when I went out for one of my daily walks
and this was a warm day. So I was sweating
and usually the problem I have with facial sunscreens
is when I start to sweat around my forehead
and everything and the sweat mixes with the SPF it starts to sting
or burn my skin. And this did not do that.
So I have to say I was skeptical but I gave it a try
and it passed the test for me. So I'm very excited to have this
SPF and moisturizer now in my skincare arsenal. So I will have
this linked down in the description box below if you
want to check it out. It's Ginger Armor but you don't have to
be a ginger to wear it. As for the rest of my tan, I went a little
overboard with one thing today. I'm looking kind of like an Oompa Loompa.
That's why. I just didn't have time to redo my makeup.
The facial tanner that I'm using and it works great.
It's fragrance free. It doesn't have anything in it
that irritates my skin. It's the Bondi Sands Pure Self Tanning Face Mist.
And it is a spray. It says to spray it all over your face
and then blend in with a tanner mitt. And for some reason they
wanted to get cute with the sprayer nozzle.
And this thing just does not work worth a darn.
So the product is good. The sprayer is awful.
So I've got me a little clear spray bottle that I'm just going to pour this
into and use because this sprayer stinks. But the product is great.
And the foundation that I'm using today, it's the right color. Just don't look at
the excessive tanner. I'm really liking this.
It's a drugstore foundation. It's the L'Oreal
True Match Lumi Healthy Luminous Makeup.
And this also has an SPF of 20 in it. I'm wearing the color N5 which is
true beige. And this has nice medium coverage. You
can build it up more but it's a really nice shade. I find
that the biggest problem I have with drugstore
foundations is the color range. They typically just
don't have good colors. But this L'Oreal True Match line
has a ton of colors and they have them separated out between cool, neutral, and
warm. I'm a neutral so this works great for me.
And it has just a very slight luminous effect. It's not anything overly
glowy or it's not going to put a shine on your face.
It's just a nice subtle glow and it finishes up with a really nice
satin finish. I'm really enjoying this foundation and it's you know $12 or $15
at Walmart. Now the thing that I use that I've
probably used too much of today was this bronzer. And
I recently discovered this bronzer. It's by
Physician's Formula. It's the Butter Glow
Liquid Bronzer. It just comes in the one shade.
And it's just a liquid. You squeeze it out.
What you do, I mean you could blend it with your fingers but I have been
squeezing it out onto the back of my hand and then using a
blush brush to dab it in there and then just
blend it. It blends really nicely but a little bit goes a long, long
way. So I'm still playing with it and experimenting to get down you know
exactly how much to use. Today I used maybe a little bit too much but it has a
nice glow to it too. But being a
liquid it's very easy to blend in and it just gives you such an awesome
glow and just like you have been to the beach.
It is wonderful. I mean you could just use it all over your face if you wanted
to just to add some color. I'm really enjoying this. This stuff is
great. And to keep with kind of a warm neutral
theme for today's makeup, I used this eyeshadow palette. It's the
Colourpop Feeling Toasty. That is the
eyeshadow palette that I used. And on my lips
I did something a little bit different today. A little bit more subtle.
I used my favorite lip liner. This is the Maybelline
Color Sensational lip liners. They are the best.
Who cares about you know high-end lip liners?
These by Maybelline, I've tried a ton. They are the best. They don't bleed.
They stay on your lips but they glide really easily.
They're not dry or anything. I love these. And I'm using the color Purely Nude and
then I filled my lip in a little bit with
that. And then for the gloss, I'm using the
Maybelline Lifter Gloss. This is the color Stone. So just
a very nice neutral look today because I was trying on a lot of neutral colors so
I wanted to go really neutral with makeup. So that is what I'm wearing. Okay
back to the outfits. Here I've got the tan camo pants back on
and this cute graphic tee. This is another one of those graphic
tees from Walmart. And I love that it says Paris and it's
got the Eiffel Tower and then some pretty blooms on there.
It's just a real springy looking shirt. And I'm just wearing some white sneakers
with this look. And then my pale denim jacket. This is
also from Walmart, time and true. And the denim jacket just pulls out that
blue that's in the graphic tee. And I just love this
outfit. I think it goes together so nicely.
I love the tones and the shades of everything.
And then for some fun, I added this bling crossbody
from Madden NYC from last fall. And I think this just makes a great
casual everyday outfit. It's so comfortable
but you're pulled together and I just love how all these colors
came together. And now I'm back with the green cargo pants
and I've got on that black tank. That tank is
from Target. I love these tank tops because
they have wide straps so you can wear a regular
bra. And here I'm wearing it with the green pants
and these black sandals from Steve Madden.
These are not from Walmart. These are from Nordstrom actually. They are the
Steve Madden line. Top this off with the black blingy
crossbody. And I think this is just a great
sporty look with these joggers. This is definitely a summertime look.
It's going to be cool and you got on some comfortable sandals
and it's just a great everyday look. Here's a close-up of these sandals.
They are styled like a sports sandal and yes, despite what I said in my previous
video about velcro sandals, these are velcro.
However, they don't look like velcro sandals. You've got this little thing
right here. It looks like that it closes with that little
buckle but it really doesn't. That's just for decoration.
Beautiful thing about that is, you know, I have bunions
so I can adjust this front part to be comfortable to the width
of my foot. And the shoe itself is just surprisingly comfortable.
It's very supportive. It's got good arch support there
and a really flexible rubbery sole and they're not terribly heavy.
So this is just a great summertime sandal and they come
in like a nude color as well. So I really like these sandals. And here is
the same outfit just with different accessories. Changed
out the sandals for these little raffia slides. These are
by Scoop from Walmart and I added
this cute little crossbody that I'll show in a minute.
This is from Walmart also and then I added this little fedora
hat. This is from Amazon and it's got the black band on it.
And I thought this was just a really cute look. This is another
great look for vacationing, for sightseeing,
for anything really. And I like the details of the woven
raffia or straw together throughout the outfit.
And I think it just really pops against this black
and dark olive outfit. So here's a close-up
of the sandal. It's just a little slide and it is made out of this raffia stuff.
It's got the cute little tortoise shell buckle there.
Here's a close-up of that little purse. This is
the same exact design as a purse I got last year
from Walmart in red. So it's got this open middle section here,
two zipper pockets, and this part actually opens up on the front.
And this may look small but it holds a surprising
amount. I'm able to get my little slim wallet into one of these
zipper sections and then in the other one I put my car
key, my lipstick, lip gloss, whatever.
And then that leaves this middle section open
and it's the perfect size for my phone and my glasses case. So it holds
everything that I need it to and it's just got such neat little details on it.
This is going to be a great bag for summer with this straw look
crammed in the black. I just love it. Cargo pants aren't the only things
trending for this year. It's cargo skirts, cargo shorts, cargo everything.
And this little cargo skirt, I found this from Democracy
and I love it so much. It is a great length.
I'm wearing it in a size 6 and it is that absolution
fabric that Democracy is known for. So it's got
tummy control and it's got that stretchy waistband
so you don't have to worry about gapping or anything.
And it's just a really comfortable skirt and I'm wearing it here with this
striped button-down from Walmart. You guys have seen this
before. I think this is such a cute look and I'm wearing the footbed
sandals from Walmart in the cognac color and then I added in this toaster bag
from Portland Leather Goods in the color honey.
It's a great match back to these cognac sandals
and I wear skirts like this just like I would shorts.
So I would wear this skirt with a t-shirt, with a tank top,
with any kind of sandal, with cute sneakers.
Really just however you would wear shorts, just wear it with this skirt.
I love a skirt in the summertime. They keep you cool
and they look just a little bit more dressed up than a pair of shorts.
And I love this skirt so much I have ordered it
in a green as well. Be sure to comment down below
and let me know what your favorite look was
and if you are going to be joining in on the cargo trend this year. Thanks so
much for stopping by and spending part of your
day with me. And until I see you in my next video,
have a stylish day. Bye-bye.
