How to Clean & Organize Your Closet in 15 Minutes!

It's my second video doing it in this new format that I am still getting used to and my second video with Coco here in the background. So she's here helping me out today. Louie, my other dog, he is over asleep in his kennel. So they are hanging out with me in my office filming room today. So I've got a Walmart haul for you guys today. It's weekly Walmart. I know it's a little late and I'm sorry I've been a little bit under the weather and I know I still sound kind of clogged up because I am. So just bear with me please. So as the title says today we're talking about how to wear shorts when we are 50 and beyond. And I've got a few tips and some outfits to show you all brought to you by Walmart. We will get to the shorts but these first couple of outfits are dresses. The first one is this cute t-shirt dress. It is a v-neck. You know a couple of videos ago I did the flutter sleeve t-shirt dress and y'all loved that. It's been a best seller of my channels ever since then and I found this one and I love it because it's a v-neck instead of that crew neck and it has the detail right under the bust. You know kind of a waistline to nip you in and it comes in multiple colors. I chose the navy. I just like navy and I do like this dress a lot but there's a couple of buts about it. Number one the fabric is thinner than the other t-shirt dress that I showed previously. It's just a thinner almost see-through fabric and I just don't know how comfortable I would be wearing it out. The other thing is the armholes and I know I am very short and short-waisted but these armholes seemed just strangely big and I would have to wear something underneath this dress a bralette some kind of little cropped tank you know situation to be able to wear that comfortably because it shows my whole bra on the sides. So I thought about returning it but then I thought no this would make a great swimsuit cover-up so and it's just $14.98 so it's a great price so I'm going to keep it and probably use it just to throw over my swimsuits you know to go to the pool and I'm wearing it with these sandals that you've seen before. These are the bow thong sandals. These are by Time and True and these are in the $14 range as well so just cute dress very casual great for a cover-up and cute flip-flops. Okay outfit number two is this shirt dress by Time and True. This little dress is $17.98 and it comes in a variety of fabrics. I chose the chambray just because I like the chambray but it comes in like a pastel stripe pattern and a couple of other colors or washes as well and this one is nice for shorties like me because you can kind of adjust that waist on it and pull it up a little bit which is what I did but even so on me I felt like the skirt was a little bit long. I didn't like where the skirt hit on me but again I'm short I'm 5'2 and I'm wearing this in a size small. The previous dress was also a size small so don't know if this is going to work for me however if you are of average height or above I think this dress would be fantastic for you. It's just a classic style really cute great price at under $18 and I'm wearing it with these Time and True wedge sandals that you guys have seen before and these come in the tan that I'm wearing and also black and these are less than $20. I can't remember the exact price but they are less than $20 so another cute outfit for a great price. Okay now we're getting into the shorts and my secrets for wearing shorts when you're over 50. So this first outfit the t-shirt you may recognize it's actually the same as the one I'm wearing right now. I have these in several colors now. This is the Time and True scoop neck t-shirt that has the longer sleeves. They're not elbow length but almost so they do cover up that part of your arm here that some people are self-conscious about so that makes these tees great but I digress. I've got it in this beautiful blush pink color and these are just $7.98 by the way and I'm wearing this in a size small and the shorts that I'm wearing these are by Time and True and they are a jean style short. They're a five pocket styling and I got this gray and white camo because you guys if you've been watching my channel you know that camo is a print that I love and these shorts are just $13.98. I sized up in these shorts and I'm glad I did and that is my tip number one. Oftentimes with shorts no matter what your age really I would suggest sizing up. If you normally wear a six you might try the six in the shorts but also try an eight because when you're wearing something short you know having it short and tight is just not a good look. So sometimes you can get away with going up a size in your shorts that you may not feel comfortable in or feel like looks good in pants but that does look good in the shorts version and I think these shorts are an example of that. I could have worn these in a six but they would have been snug and I just would not have been as comfortable in them but in a larger size I think they're okay and these do have a four inch inseam and I really don't like to go any shorter than that. That's me personally unless it's an athletic short or something like that of course and then I might but in shorts that I'm going to wear out and about four inches is about as short as I like it and that's where these are. They do have a cuff that is stitched down that is not a movable cuff and these come in a multitude of washes and colors so they come in a dark rinse a light rinse this camo and some other colors and patterns and the shorts are just $13.98 and you're seeing me in a size eight in these shorts. Glad I sized up and with this outfit I'm wearing the No Boundaries platform sneakers those you've seen before here on my channel but those are just $14.98. Okay this next outfit may have been my favorite shorts outfit of the video and the shorts these are also by Time and True they're calling these the utility short. These also have a four inch inseam which I love and for whatever reason the cut and style of these is just a little bit different you know than that last pair and I'm wearing a six in these so I did not size up in these and I don't think I need to so it just depends on the style of the short but I'm wearing a size six this blue color is gorgeous it's called Galapagos Blue and I just love it and the other great thing about these shorts is they have elastic on the waist just on the sides so not in the front not in the back just on the sides so that waistband really lays down and conforms to your body so you don't have any weird gapping and it makes it super comfortable having the elastic and so tip number two with shorts is if you're wearing shorter shorts cover up a little bit more on top so with these I put on this white button down this is also by Time and True I showed you guys this a while back but it's my favorite button down it's such great quality for the price and it's got the little snap here that helps you know hold the button placket together right there at the fullest part of your bust which is so nice and the shorts these are $16.98 this button down is somewhere in the $15 range and I'm wearing the button down in a size medium I do size up with button down type tops because of my bust size and with this outfit I am wearing the braided slides by Time and True you guys have seen these in previous videos as well these are $14-$15 range I'm wearing a size six they only come in halves or full sizes and so I went down from a normal six and a half and to a six and it's perfect so love this look love this color blue and another tip for wearing shorts over 50 I'll go I was going to talk about this at the end but I'll ahead and talk about it the self-tanner that I used before filming this video is a new one to me but I really really like it and it's by L'Oreal it's this I don't know if my camera's going to focus on that but it's the sublime bronze self-tanning water mousse I got this at Walmart I'll have it linked down below along with all these outfits but this is in the color medium and a bottle this size is $11.97 and it comes out in a foamy mousse form but it is a watery mousse so it kind of starts running quickly it's not like a thick mousse for your hair so I put it on my legs with one of those microfiber tanning mints if you don't have one of those I suggest getting one and it blended great and it has a great smell it has a coconutty smell which is really nice and what you're seeing on me is two applications of this and then a shower after so I did shower some of it off but that was two applications of the self-tanner and I think it gives a really nice color just enough to knock off the stark white that my legs are right now but not orangey not too dark not too fake looking just a really nice product so that's what I'm using in this video for myself okay last look for the shorts and my last look of the day is um and it's also my last tip if you feel like you can't wear shorts for whatever reason or you're self-conscious about wearing shorts go longer you know they don't have to be four or five inch inseam shorts go longer and I found these um time and true shorts uh these are Bermuda shorts they have a long nine inch inseam and you see on me they come all the way down to the tops of my knees so um and these run large I'm wearing a size small in these and um they're on the verge of being too big I have plenty of room but they're just a pull-on short and they do have pockets these come in a variety of colors and patterns I just chose this black and white gingham because I think it's nice and fresh and it goes with can go with everything and these shorts are just $13.98 but they're stretchy very comfortable um and then the black top this is also by time and true super cute it's just v-neck has a little flutter sleeves and then a slight peplum effect around the bottom I got this in a size medium because it looked a little bit small on the hangers but now I'm wondering if I shouldn't have just gotten my usual size small because as you can see when I turn around um the armholes on this one are a little bit big and so when I turn to the side you can see my bra through the armholes so that's not so great but you may not have that problem um or if I got the correct size I may not have that problem either but the little black top is just $12.98 and with this outfit I'm wearing again those uh time and true wedges that are I can't remember less than $20 I'm wearing them in a size six my normal size is six and a half but they only come in whole sizes so I went down a half and that was the right thing for me and um these are super comfortable gives you some nice height without being a heel or
