My Dad Leaving & Unpacking the Deep Impact It had on Me
I first want to show honor to my father and say, I'm very proud of him and my mom for making the choice to get back together after 5 years of him being gone. I'm sure that wasn't an easy thing for my mom to welcome him back after those years and I'm sure it must have been very humbling for my father to come back and ask for forgiveness for his mistakes. I love them both dearly for that. With that said, being without a father for 5 years left some deep hurts that I didn't realize I had, and I wanted to share and unpack that a little with you guys now that I've kind of figured it out all these years later. Sometimes when I talk about stuff like this, words don't always come out right. So I hope you can hear my heart on this.
