What do mornings really look like on a homestead with 8 kids? This is our real-life routine as a large homeschooling family raising milk cows, goats, and chickens while trying to keep up with daily farm chores and life at home.
From milking the cow and feeding animals to collecting fresh eggs, making breakfast, and getting the kids started with their day, our mornings are full, busy, and honestly a little chaotic—but we wouldn’t trade this homestead life for anything.
We’re slowly building a more self-sufficient lifestyle through gardening, raising our own food, and teaching our kids hands-on skills every day. This is just a glimpse into what it looks like to balance homesteading and homeschooling with a big family.
