How It Started: We Sold Everything & Left The UK (Hardest Decision)

I don't know how many people watching this video suffer from hay fever but I do badly um so Lucy's idea for today was to bring us all to a field I had to make sure they'd just freshly cut the grass first yes so we're struggling slightly well I think we me I'm struggling slightly guys welcome to the Vlog I have to say it is a beautiful day we had thunderstorms like we've never seen before in the UK no because there was a day in between that that we didn't film we were we were joking around you have to find the strawberries mate bye bye we were joking around that our flight was canceled the other day because of a tiny bit of rain but then the next day true to its word but a day later there was an insane thunderstorm lightning woke us up at five in the morning it was like we're back in the Philippines in a typhoon it was that heavy it reminded us also of the rain in Thailand when we first went out there the sound of the heavy heavy rain hitting the leaves and stuff quite awesome quite awesome to watch from indoors yes we're here sunny day beautiful welcome to the Vlog we are going strawberry picking right now we live quite close to a farm and they open the farm up it's called pick your own and you can pick all sorts of fruits and vegetables and we thought it would be fun for Coda to have a little stroll around because he is is he he is loving he's walking at the moment [Music] we need to gonna get your phone up hey where's the Eggies go in a bag he's gonna sell eggs cool I don't know what we're guessing so let's get a couple of things one of them let's see what we find definitely strawberries but I don't know what else is in season gooseberries please separate all crops 10 people back we may be able to get Coda on his first ever tractor ride if it's running yeah this is stunning look I know yeah no I know it's so nice so this it's the farm we came on a tractor here last year did we this little tractor yeah I'm pretty sure we've done other tractors George did we Vlog this no we did a reel with blue Italian Theater what's that to follow at speed okay yeah I can walk track to speeds no worries okay I'm gonna follow behind I won't be able to get on with uh koda's stroller so I'm gonna run behind with the uh the buggy farewell have fun should we go find some strawberries you love strawberries that your favorite is this your second ever tractor right oh wow Ready Set [Music] um I'm not sure who got a better or worse deal here because obviously Lucy gets to have a track to ride with Coda however I get a nice peaceful walk on my own in the middle of nowhere well on a farm in the middle of the countryside with no one around just left to talk to you guys which is so nice it is half past two in the afternoon we've had quite a busy day today I've also been editing this morning Lucy went to the gym early and had a workout and you know it's days like today where we appreciate so much our kind of lifestyle and how we're able to kind of choose our working hours and dot in mix business with pleasure I suppose and that is all because of this YouTube channel these videos everything we do on Instagram the audience we've built so thank you to you guys it's super appreciated all the support which um enables us to do stuff like this and bring you videos bring you guys along on the journey and we know from years of reading comments and all the views on the Vlogs and stuff how much you guys love watching these videos so we appreciate that that really does mean a lot to us because this is the town also this is where I'm going with this this is the town where we started everything we started making little videos I think we came here once in the Vlog maybe got 100 views back in the day and because of our kind of vision we wanted to be YouTubers so badly we pushed through and we made that decision that we were going to put our everything into this and now we're here today living it it's unbelievable we're so grateful you probably hear me talk about this kind of thing a lot in Vlogs but I want to remain forever forever grateful and keep it keep grounded and keep in perspective the life that we live because it is pretty special and days like today you appreciate it that a little bit more but guys if you want something in life you have to put yourself there there is no one coming to drag you out of bed in the morning and to go and work towards your goals there's no one coming to force you into better habits that are going to get you closer to your goals there's no one coming to tell you what to do to tell you how to do it if there's something in life you want you have to make the first small steps towards that are you doing something today however small oh okay does that fell that is going to benefit your future I think back to when Luke and I made that decision where we sold everything we owned we wanted to go traveling we wanted to Vlog we wanted to daily Vlog we wanted to film every single day we wanted to go on an adventure we worked super hard for years to save up money to go and do it to give it one shot to afford the tickets to afford the first few months of traveling hotels food flights I actually don't know where they are we sold everything we owned we got rid of the apartment we were renting we said goodbye to our family we wanted it that badly we were willing to go away for a year two years however long it took to become travel vloggers and it was only Lucy night who could make that decision for us to give it a shot to not fear failure to know that even if it didn't work out we would have had the best time anyway we could come back and get other jobs worst case we had to go and try we had to do it for ourselves we owed it to ourselves to do it I think they're in the strawberry field so if that is you watching this and what I just said resonates then make sure you do something today that's going to get you that one step closer okay I can see them in the field they are in the strawberry field picking strawberries and it may not be as dramatic as selling everything leaving your family behind there's so many opportunities in online content right now the opportunity is still there we saw the opportunity could we grow an audience on YouTube could we generate income could we eventually build and build and build collaborate with hotels Move Along get where we needed to go build up an audience make some fun videos that we love to look back on make some fun videos that our audience would love and we continue to try and do that to the best of our ability every single day because it's our passion it's the other thing when you're working on your passion it's a lot easier it's a lot more fun it's a lot more rewarding I wish I bought the longer lens zoom lens [Music] he's off The Pride walking off the tractor really hold on to him but now he's free can you smell the strawberries I can really smell the strawberries brilliant he literally is not interested now that he can walk he's like yeah cool mum bye but as soon as he realizes we're in a field full of his favorite yeah he loves strawberries so much look guys you can just come and yeah look there's a nice juicy one can you see the strawberries [Music] can you see it oh come on yeah yeah should we get you a little one [Music] oh you're in trouble you meant to pay for it for eating it this is what you do as a kid though I feel like you can eat it I feel like every kid like their initiation in being a kid is coming here having strawberry around their mouth and then like going to pay and being like I haven't eaten any it's just like a classic here look at this scenery this is beautiful now this calls for one thing and one thing only a drone shot let's go I have a drone anymore we sold the Drone guys we don't have a drone we want a new drone we're getting a little drone my favorite moments with him yet oh I just think it's so sweet like he's in his field of his favorite fruit eating there yeah I was just saying how grateful we are to have built over the last six or seven years what we have built yeah and the kind of Lifestyle we have where we can be flexible like this to come out for granted like we get to spend every day with this boy and I think not many people get that and I think that has got to be the number one benefit and perk of having done what we've done and I didn't realize it when we were building it and when we were being like successful before and like getting loads of views and all this kind of stuff I never thought that the thing that I'd be the most proud and grateful for is being able to be around for him like that didn't quite click not until we've had a baby and now it's like ah this is why it happened this is why we did that definitely guys that opportunity is still there I talked to a lot of people who want to start a YouTube channel want to start a podcast a vlog making content on Instagram a lot of people want to be creators and I think that's awesome the problem is a lot of people are also put off by AI them thinking there's too many people doing it their content isn't good enough they don't know where to start they don't know how when what where to post and just quickly whilst you're on the topic if you guys want a little bit of advice from me I am starting kind of a little bit of Consulting on social media growth and how to kind of do this I guess I haven't like launched anything officially but I'm starting to talk about it a little bit on my Instagram I'm asking people to send me a DM a direct message on Instagram if this is you with the word grow then I can quickly scroll through all my messages because I get a lot of messages I can pick up the ones with grow and then I can open up the message have a chat with you talk about your content give you some advice I'm starting that it's going to be with limited number of people because I'm a very busy guy with everything we do with Coda and stuff but I do want to help people I do want to give my advice I've been doing this for six seven years full time it's gone really well and it's going really well so I keep up to date with all the platforms how they work sound like such um like sorry it's not being really rude to you but like I know there's like someone who does that kind of thing wouldn't be like I keep up to date with all the platforms it's like you're like this old guy that's looking back on his past and you're like I know about all the platforms I'm 30 years old now you're very good what I'm saying is guys if you want to start something do it if I can help you french onion soup why not we're gonna do with them we need to sleep in the summer so we've got a few onions quite a few broad beans and like a full flat Panet of strawberries and it came to just over had a nice workout this morning and then we've gone Strawberry Picking and now we're gonna be getting some fish and chips on the beach and with some of George's family for like a late Father's Day thing because we didn't actually get to see his dad well we did see his dad on the day he tried to drop us at Gatwick Airport as you guys know we did like celebrate much at all so looking forward to that I think we're gonna pop home first and quickly put the strawberries in the fridge and then we can head over yeah lovely day so far so much enjoying it lower gonna get up please everything now it's so funny so polite okay just parked up a little bit early half past four meeting the family at five funnily enough we've parked in the road where luciana's previous flat was if you remember that that we sold before we bought the new house so yeah Blast from the Past air of town that we don't come to much anymore but it's right on the beach remember when we first had Coda if you guys watch those Vlogs I swear all the Vlogs either started on the beach or at some point during the day we would end up on the beach because it was like five well one minute walk and the fish and chip shop is right here as well but I think we're gonna go for a little walk first let Koda walk around on the beach a little bit the fish and chip shop actually opens at five so we might get the freshest freshest oh how can I say this the freshest fish they do fresh say try to say freshest fish really fast it's impossible [Music] thank you foreign [Music] [Music] chips and chicken bites a bottle of ketchup got to be on um coda's enjoying a snack and looking at all the birds and we're just gonna enjoy we haven't had fish and chips in a very long time so Emily well yeah oh is Emily classic I couldn't tell if it was her well I so need this I'm so hungry nice yeah strawberries all day yeah the chips are so good here no they're not too greasy we went to chipwreck by the way and it's a bit more I don't want to say healthy because it doesn't look healthy but I feel like it's a less greasy version of your usual fish and chips yes which is really nice gymnast cut his first chip I think in Manila oh yeah yeah so we um we have viewers of the channel who have never been to the UK because we see our kind of analytics where people are watching from and stuff so this is authentic information oh well yeah we assume people have never been this is a kind of genuine British fish eaten on the beach I don't think it's authentic it's quite a high end it's not it's not greasy so good what we got I have a beautiful chicken and mushroom pie premium pie no less nice with a decent portion of chips there Grandpa sized and look heavy on the vinegar I told them I'm happy I'm one of those crazy guys that has
