You've saved the world numerous times as Black Widow,
but how does that compare to motherhood for you?
It's incomparable, right?
I think being a parent is like the hardest,
most rewarding, but it's definitely
the hardest thing you'll ever do.
I'm reminded of it constantly,
but yeah, I've been very, very fortunate
to be able to enjoy this time with my young,
our young son, and yeah, it's a gift, you know?
I feel very lucky.
We saw you walk the carpet with your husband.
It's date night tonight.
Please, please tell me that you're not letting
Michael Shay babysit like he said.
Please tell me he's not babysitting.
Yeah, I think that's definitely, he's established.
He's played some, early on he gave me
some of his parenting tips, and they didn't quite pass.
I would think so.
Yeah, I think it was pretty,
he takes the hands off approach.
You look absolutely stunning tonight.
Congratulations on such an amazing honor.
You're in the company of previous extraordinary honorees
as you are yourself.
Tell us what tonight means for you.
I'm still taking it all in.
It's a lot to process.
Yeah, I just, I'm so in the middle of it all the time
that I, to be able to step,
I think I'm gonna try to be present in the moment,
and I'm going to try to really kind of take it all in.
I never really have the, I never think about
my entire body of work, because I'm still doing it.
And so this is, it's a very unique experience.
So let's go back, let's take it back.
When you were making North your debut,
your screening debut, did you ever think
that you would be standing here right now?
I mean, yes, of course, because I was eight years old
and in the mirror in the bathroom, I was here.
I was totally here, but I mean,
there's been many, many parts of my,
along the way that I was very uncertain
of where things would head.
And it's just, I think I'm very happy to be a working actor.
I'm incredibly fortunate to have worked with some of,
you know, my like favorite filmmakers and favorite actors.
And, you know, it's, I'm still,
it's still a dream every time I walk on the set.
I mean, I absolutely love what I do.
You really stepped out and you were brave when you went
and you stood up for what you believe in
and you decided to make a difference,
not just for yourself, but also impacting the industry.
Can you talk a little bit about
what motivated you to do that
and what challenges you faced?
Yeah, I think it's really, you know,
everything is changing now.
It's sort of new territory, new frontier.
And, you know, I think I, you know,
that can, it can kind of be a lonely sort of road
when you kind of go out and do something like,
you know, that's not really,
that's sort of uncharted territory,
but, you know, I had a lot of support from the industry
and a lot of support from my fellow co-stars
and, you know, I'm very, very happy with the outcome.
I'm very happy to get back to work
and I'm really happy that no one else will have to deal
with what I had to deal with.
So good.
