French Country Life photoshoot behind the scenes

Bonjour everyone. In this video, I want to take you behind the scenes of a very nice and fun photo shoot that I recently did with Ally from the UK. Really, just because I always need nice content. I am working on two new books. a interior book that is going to take maybe a little more time than I wanted. I don't want to rush and push things. I like it when the book kind of writes and designs itself. That's how I love to create. And I have so many ideas for a second book, like a cookbook about Burgundy, very similar to my first book. So, I had planned a couple of photo shoots this year initially to have interior photography done, but since none of the spaces that we wanted to shoot are finished, I decided to pivot and change the theme and the goals of the shoot with the photographers that I'd already planned to come. So, here I am with Ally, and she was so much fun to work with, so relaxed. It's always a bit uncomfortable, I would say, to work with a new photographer, but she just made me feel so relaxed. And we just let it happen. It's always best for me to just do my thing the way that I actually do. I like to be authentic. I don't want to stage things. And I said, I'm just going to do my thing and you'll be walking around and we'll figure out what we can shoot. And it turned out to be such a fun morning. Look, look, look. Is that a mo portrait? She was staying with us with her partner Will and we just had a very nice time together and ended with a lunch that we shared. And I just want you to peek behind the scenes of what that looks like. It's going to be a whole lot of rambling between two very happy girls doing what they love. If that is not your thing, just stop watching the video and wait for a new one. Um, I just liked to keep this unedited, raw, and real. I will have you enjoy as if you were there with us on this really nice morning in my farmhouse here in France. Nice. Might actually even be too big now. Which table in here in the No, there I want something on the table there. It'd be nice when it's light and airy, I think. Yeah. [Music] [Music] Yeah. Yes. [Music] But it's just so funny because when I film, people go, "Oh, I'm so happy you finally took a little break." Like, sure, I'm on holiday. Working the holiday. Yeah. It's You kind of can't avoid it though cuz it is all consuming. Um, do you grow vegetables? Well, we have these. Oh, nice. These these are called tomaten. Oh, nice. Which I have never seen in the Netherlands. Um, so we have basically all these, but they're just not ready yet in our We grew them in our greenhouse, right? But it's just too soon to to to harvest them, right? But I love them because they have all these beautiful colors. Yeah, I know. So if you make this tart kind of thing, it will look really beautiful anymore because same thing. I'll get nicely dressed in the morning and I start my day and I'm oh wait I need to start weeding here or I need to start grow planting things here and then I just go back in I change for my jeans and I always wear the same things. People on YouTube will affirm oh really I always wear the same thing. But in this summer, like this type of is my favorite because I can be in this kind of clothes because it's when I welcome guests and I don't do a lot of the gardening labor anymore. Okay. Yeah, that's when it gets better. That's ideal. This is what Sorry. The French way of drying your salad. Okay. Taking a tea towel. Cuz I have one of those things, but they're such a swing. Yeah, because they're such a pain to clean. I don't know if it's a French f. My mom always did this. I've seen it done once before. Oh, once before, but I can't remember who did it. You'll get to see it again today. Great. I should be all right, actually. Just see. I'm sorry. Just going to change the angles. Look how beautiful that is. And it's nothing special. As in, but that's exactly the kind of content I can create. So, I'm happy that you're here. It's beautiful. It's one of the things that when the interiors are nice and the light is nice and the props are nice. Yeah, we'll try. You don't need to try so hard. So now, do you want do you want to do it? You just take all the ends. You just take it and then it's and then my son will go in case anybody gets baptized. Yeah. the salad's kind of baptized. That's perfect. It's a very good um Yeah, I do.
