Today, we're back at Lake Como for the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este, bringing you the world’s first drive of the all-new BMW M2 CS (Competition Sport).
BMW has taken the original M2 engine and significantly upgraded it, giving this version much more horsepower—and yes, it sounds absolutely incredible.
You won’t want to miss this video!
I'm at this beautiful villa in Lake Como, Italy and I have a world premiere and I have the honors
of being the first to unwrap this. So let's get started unwrapping this. I don't know what it is.
Looks like it could be one of those older Mustangs. Let's get started.
Carbon fiber. We all know that's a good sign.
I'm liking this so far. Wow. What a beautiful car.
Guys, this is the new BMW M2 CS.
The first thing I notice on this that is different from the base M2 is that it got a facelift.
We still have the traditional M2 headlights, which I love. I love the styling.
But the front grill, this is massive. You see the kidney grills and the front intake area.
They've removed a lot of this so that it allows more air for it to be cooled.
Now all of that is because of the engine. Let me show you. Here, I'll pop the hood for you.
I like that they have the hydraulics, so I don't have a little pin I got to put up.
But BMW has taken the M2 engine and upgraded it. So it's still the same three liter inline six
engine, but this makes more horsepower. It gets 530 horsepower and revs all the way up to 7200
RPMs. That's performance. And you can see here they have this bracing and that's to help give
the chassis more stiffness, more performance. But that is why there is so much room for cooling
in the front. So this goes for 115,000 euros. The top speed is limited at 302 kilometers per hour.
It's 0 to 100 kilometers per hour is 3.8 seconds, which is 0.2 seconds faster than the base M2.
So as I take a step back, the standard M2, they've taken that and actually lowered it by
eight millimeters. And I can kind of see it's a bit more lower and aggressive when I see it
from the side. It has a staggered wheel setup. So on the front, we have these 19 inch gold alloy
wheels and the back we have 20 inch and I love the carbon fiber throughout. We have carbon fiber
on the mirror and on our roof as well. So beautiful. First thing I noticed is the trunk lid.
This is a duckbill trunk lid. Very sports performance. And then the rear bumper has had
multiple changes as well. And here we have the beautiful M2 rear taillights. Just in love with
this design. And then more carbon fiber. This is the rear diffuser. This specific diffuser is more
of an homage to the BMW performance racing, all of that. So it's cool to see pieces of their
performance racing in their production vehicles. I love this tailpipe setup. We have titanium
tailpipes. So let's take a look at the trunk. Stuff in there, but a good amount of space in
here for a compact performance vehicle. Oh, actually look, wow. So this whole trunk lid
is carbon fiber. How cool is that? Look, even our statues over here, this lady, she's in awe
of the M2 CS. And the gentleman back there is not so happy. He doesn't have a good view.
Here on the trunk, we have the emblem outlined in red M2 CS. And the CS stands for competition
sport. Now let's take a look on the inside. But before we check out the interior, if you want to

Wow. There's loads of carbon fiber in the interior.
Ooh, the racing bucket seat really holds me well. And the steering wheel is amazing. The
attention to detail. We have the M3 colors stitched in the Alcantara. We have the middle
marker on our steering wheel. We have customizable buttons, carbon fiber, the M emblem itself.
And that is spread out through the car. Carbon fiber all on the dash. We even have carbon fiber
on the door. Let's see what this three liter engine sounds like. Hit the back.
I like the way that sounds. We have these bucket seats, the M colorings, and one of my favorite things.
And the seat automatically moves for you.
We have this entire carbon fiber bucket seat. I'm about five foot ten, probably over six foot with
the heels. I'm actually quite comfortable back here. Let's really put this to the test now.
Am I going to be crushed? Okay. My legs pressed up, but I'm surprisingly comfortable back here.
There is a bit more room than you would expect for an M2. The driver's seat needs to be pushed
up a little bit. Other than that, I could take a road trip in here. This connects right to the
trunk space, so any of your golf clubs, snowboards, skis can fit right through. So you can take your M2 on adventures.
Now, if you're looking for cars with a bit more space, check out our option platform
at cxcars.com, where we sell some of the most luxurious and spacious cars.
I feel like I'm emerging. That is such a nice feature. Now let's take the first spin.
I love the way the Alcantara feels. It's soft, it's comfortable, and it really fits my hands well.
It's very responsive, as I would assume a performance vehicle is.
I'm driving the new M2 CS at Lake Como. Wow. Once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
Wow. And that's it. I want to thank BMW for this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Thank you all for watching. Like, comment, subscribe, and we'll see you on the next video.
