NASA Scientist revealed New SpaceX Dragon Upgraded Replace NASA 4$ Billion Rocket...
NASA is losing the ability to carry out ambitious lunar exploration efforts with its expensive machines!
The aging SLS and Orion are on track to be canceled due to budget overruns. So, without these vehicles, where does NASA’s ambitious lunar return plan go?
Sources indicate NASA is looking for other solutions in the private sector.
All we know that SpaceX’s Starship is the best answer to this change, but it is still in development and likely won’t make its first flight until mid-2027.
But don’t forget SpaceX’s Dragon, which has long been proposed for lunar missions to replace Orion.
So, how will Dragon land on the Moon?
And what does the future hold for SLS and Orion?
Find out in today’s episode of Alpha Tech:

Artemis is a lunar exploration program led by the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) that is currently focused on deploying the Orion spacecraft and SLS in parallel, envisioned as solid vehicles to carry astronauts to the skies of the Moon. The aim is to reestablish a human presence on the Moon more than 50 years after the Apollo 17 mission in 1972, and eventually establish a permanent lunar base to facilitate human missions to Mars.
However, the implementation of this lunar mission plan has encountered huge obstacles.
SLS is notorious for delays and exorbitant costs, these programs have become a symbol of excessive bureaucracy and taxpayer frustration. To date, SLS has only conducted a single launch (on November 16, 2022) in 14 years of development.
The Orion spacecraft is no better, with the heat shield design remaining the same as the Artemis 1 Orion mission, despite the heat shield being severely damaged after returning from Artemis 1.

The persistence of developing these two outdated vehicles has sparked a lot of debate across the space exploration community, with many arguing that they are outdated and wasteful.
NASA’s latest budget proposal, which was leaked earlier this month, could shake things up. It would force NASA to cut funding for several core components of Artemis, including key logistics systems like the SLS, Orion, and even the Lunar Gateway, which was intended to serve as a communications hub, science lab, and habitat module for astronauts as part of the Artemis program.
