And if I said we took the original Timberhentz and made it bigger, but we also reduced the cost?
That's what you'll see on today's house tour, you'll want to see it.
Let's talk about the central theme of this house.
We are near a lake and everyone wants to visit it.
They are always fun, so thinking about extra seats is always a consideration.
This island was made with extra depth, allowing benches in this back part and also on the side of the island.
And right behind us, here, is where the main staircase used to be.
We are on a concrete slab, heated concrete, it is hot and cozy throughout the house.
But going back to the seats, we have all these extra seats.
So, when the big game is on that huge TV, everyone can get a pizza on the island and sit here.
We have easily accessible drinks in the center of the kitchen with that 48-inch refrigerator.
These are professional series appliances.
I love the gas stove.
I have the professional series stove and the stone exhaust above.
There are so many dramatic elements that draw our attention in this kitchen with this extra-high refrigerator.
Of course, the stone exhaust and even the funneled cabinets.
And we see the dramatic wooden strip surrounding the kitchen and drawing our attention to the upper front.
How often do you have windows like these above your kitchen?
There are so many decorations and many excellent features in the cabinets.
Take a look at this corner cabinet, think of all the times there were wheelchairs.
Well, now we have drawers that open, taking advantage of the space very well.
Of course, we want drawers on each side of the stove.
This is very good because we can have all our utensils, you know, spoons and large spoons.
Of course, the microwave drawer.
Another customer chose this microwave drawer, thinking about its accessibility in the future.
If you have a wheelchair, you can easily access it.
Now, let's go back here to this side of the kitchen.
We have two extra large drawers.
There is even a hidden drawer there too.
There is a cutting board separator in this space.
This is wonderful.
You even have a retractable trash can.
More cutting board separators.
And take a look at this.
This is a pine organizer.
Many times you would think that your dishes would be above you in those upper cabinets.
But this can become uncomfortable in old age.
It's good to be able to visually see all these dishes.
And hey, if there are small grandchildren nearby, they can also get these dishes.
This is very convenient.
The best part of continuing the kitchen beyond the kitchen's main space is that, first of all, it
makes the kitchen look visually larger and is very practical.
What a great launch area on the outside of the front door and, of course, we also have
access to the garage right there.
You will notice that these base cabinets are mainly drawers.
We opted not to use folding doors.
This is very convenient for owners to be able to easily store things in these drawers and
then store them so that, when you pull them out, you can easily access the back of the drawer.
Instead of making the door taller, we add more personality and interest when placing the
wall cabinet divided with glass on the upper doors.
Although it could have background lighting in there and that would darken the items in the
cabinets, even if you don't illuminate it, it looks very beautiful and captures the room's ambient light.
These posts are wonderful.
Take a look at that kind of flashlight there.
And I especially like the larger post hardware that we see all around the kitchen.
The color of these posts was intentionally selected to match the dinner table, the legs of
these benches and also the highlight island.
It all comes together for a perfect cohesive mix.
I love this dynamic of having a highlight island that is so drastically different from the
kitchen perimeter.
By the way, let's talk about the types of wood.
We have rustic olive in these cabinets.
You can tell by the beautiful knots and the reddish tone of the wood.
And then we have a very transparent wood here on the perimeter because we are keeping a
more painted black.
So, this is a kind of painted beech wood.
This island has a beautiful black stainless steel front sink.
I think it's amazing.
Often, black metal elements in houses add a more rustic touch.
And when you have stainless black steel, it's a rustic elegance.
It goes perfectly with a huge exhaust like the one we have here.
A trash can on one side, dishwasher on the other.
Now, you may be thinking, well, why a trash can?
We are in a very remote area, so there is no regular trash collection.
Having a trash can is very convenient.
Now, you have to think of a dishwasher in an open concept space like this.
You have to make sure you have a very low decibel rating so that it is
silent when everyone is together or if you are watching a movie there, which is
silent like a whisper.
This house takes the elements to a totally new level.
Take a look above me with these lights that are shining in these
wooden tiles of fit and spike.
There is closet lighting above me.
See how dynamic this is, as it overflows to the corner unit.
Then, we have lighting under the closet.
And I had never seen this before.
As the island evolves, the lighting under the bench shines on those
moon-shaped beams of light.
It looks amazing.
I loved the attention to detail there.
When you look at this kitchen for the first time, you probably don't notice the
backsplash.
It plays a very subtle and support role in general aesthetics.
It mixes with the plaster wall at a distance.
And the benches have a similar effect.
These have a simpler design.
While we have a very ornamented quartz plate on the island.
The colors of the plate match the black finish of the island and the stainless steel
black on the sink.
It's perfect.
Although it is impressive and very tempting to do this in the whole kitchen, we need to
reserve space so that our eyes can rest easily throughout the scenery.
And draw our attention to the island and that huge exhaust.
In a house like this, it is very common and appropriate to have shaker-style doors,
as we have here.
But that doesn't mean everything has to be square and flat.
Take a look at the frame under the closet.
There is a beautiful decorative frame here, as well as a very dramatic handle above us.
Although this is a professional refrigerator with only 24 inches deep,
it could have stopped here.
We brought this 3-inch side panel, allowing a great opportunity for the
bench to reach its end.
Now notice how flat this is.
We apply decorative door panels on the sides of all the upper wall cabinets,
as well as in the base cabinets.
You will see on the island, as well as in this exhibition.
And right here, I think this is very important because when you look at the kitchen
from this distance, it adds more personality.
We can get bigger knots on these end panels than you would have on a
typical closet end panel.
So, that adds a lot more interest.
And whenever we have a change in different directions of the wood, we also have
more visual interest.
Now, imagine that you are bringing maintenance.
You can put them all here, put them in the fridge or take them to this pantry.
Now, this pantry is beautiful.
Take a look at the extra thick rustic shelves that go from the floor to the ceiling.
There is a great use of this space and it looks like a Pinterest pantry to me.
It's great in there.
We have very good lighting, making it easier to read all the labels and,
so, you can see everything.
Now, the important thing about a pantry is that these shelves are not very deep.
So, they are about 30 centimeters deep, allowing you to really have a good
management of what's in there.
And you can visually see everything with a variety of wood species and
different colors in this house.
We can put it all together in our complete design center showroom, where we
choose all these stains, the prefinishes and even take a look at how they
combine with this hand-scraped Nogueira floor.
I love to use Nogueira in floor covers because there is a lot of variability in
the different textures, with high and dark points.
It goes very well with the house.
As we make the transition, we have highlighted cellar doors.
So, we continue with the rustic sink, but we opt for a darker brown finish,
which combines with the luxurious vinyl floor.
So, we put the double diagonal on these cellar doors with a very traditional
cabide above.
Let's not forget the front door.
Three feet wide, eight feet high, three-quarters of an inch thick,
well in the shaker style.
Now, it looks like it's wood because of all the texture here.
In fact, it's fiberglass.
Glass simulating a pattern of wooden veins.
Oh, before closing the door, this is a door with a dimple lock.
This is very good.
What I like about this door's dimple lock is that when you close the door,
they are automatically spring-loaded, so they engage.
And then, when you lock the door, it will be pushed even more into the
shaker.
So, yes, you will have more energy efficiency.
And it's also safer.
With the door 2.4 meters high, we managed to push these three
simulated split lights up, which still bring light to the shaker,
but also prevent the deliverer from being able to see the space when he
delivers a package.
What I also like is how we integrated this large 6x12 beam and
incorporated it as a top finish for the door, overlapping it beyond this
4x8 pole and, then, pulling it down as a support for the beams above.
The lighting options in this house are on a totally new level.
There are lights that you don't even see, like the ones above us here.
Of course, we have these lights very present visually, like in the
saguão, in the dining room and on the island.
Take a look at the holophotes on all these beams.
Now, come here, we see metal tapes around this lamp and also as a
support.
And then the glass of the seat.
It is good to have some texture in the glass of the lights.
That way, if they look a little dusty, it won't even be noticeable.
And, of course, this adds more visual interest and a rustic touch.
Many people love the visual interest that the fireplace brings to the
large room, and placing it centered on this large wall is the perfect place.
It allows a very dramatic visual effect that goes all the way to the
dining room beam at the top of this room.
And then, of course, we have that very iconic backlit clock.
This is a rustic clock.
We've seen it in many of our houses.
Many customers love to choose this one.
And it is also adjustable, so you can make it bright as it is now.
And then, when you're watching the movie, the intensity decreases.
So, it's just a little night light.
This is an incredible fireplace.
A sealed door unit, 45 inches wide, French doors.
This is a Montgomery Hearthstone.
This thing will warm the house.
Now we have radiant heating on the floor, powered by a boiler, and it also has a fan.
This will generate a lot of heat, if you wish.
Today, we turned off the fan.
So, we only have the beautiful flame there.
We raised the fireplace and continued with a continuous fireplace all the way,
making it really easy to keep clean.
So, this fireplace is even a little wider than the original, with wood.
We have access to the outside on both sides.
And then we can continue with the trapezoidal units on that upper front.
They allow excellent views of all the eagles flying over the lake.
This fireplace seems to be made of wood.
But, in fact, it is made of concrete and has a simulated shade, perfect for this house.
Now, when you have two similar colors that are very close in color,
you want to make sure they match perfectly.
And that's why the color matched perfectly with the clock.
I think this is a great forecast and detail.
With an extra large room like this, we don't have furniture leaning against the wall.
It is very good to be able to circulate through this space.
Now, when you do that, you need to think about placing the outlets on the floor.
And, especially in this concrete shed, all of this was thought ahead.
We have outlets for these lamps and they are all on a switch.
So, we can easily connect them, of course, with the light switch.
Without even thinking about how you're going to use the fireplace.
So, at Christmas time, you'll want to turn on the Christmas lights.
There's an outlet up there too.
When you're in a house like this, you'll naturally look up and see all the craftsmanship.
There are three wooden stars with fittings and fittings.
Each of them is hand-adjusted.
They vary in different sizes, adding more visual and dimension interest.
They go down and connect to these 6x12 boards, which then sit in 4x8 support posts.
It seems incredible to have all this visual interest.
And we don't stop there.
You should see the finish of the base.
It is huge.
And take a look at the details.
How it merges with that big post.
They are the varied depths that create so much shadow and dimension.
It adds a lot of interest to the house.
And when you have great natural light combined with all the support lighting in the house.
This hand-painted texture looks different throughout the day.
Let's get here.
We have one of the guest bathroom and two guest rooms.
This is where you'll start to see some drastic changes in that original wooden ranch.
This wing of the house got much bigger.
And we also saw a big change in those ceiling plans.
Where we got to a cathedral ceiling up here with that huge 4x12 cupboard beam at the top.
I just love the visual effect of it.
Makes each one look like their own suite master.
When you have views on both sides of the house, it's hard to decide which room to choose.
There are even closet systems inside these rooms.
Great for organization and to keep everything tidy.
The owners of the house said, we don't want spread bedrooms.
We want everything to be in the closet.
And that's why they are perfect for this space.
And then take a look at the guest bathroom.
Your eyes are attracted to that large window with tempered glass.
It spreads all the light, creating a very smooth effect in the environment.
Of course, it's for privacy.
But it's also a good way to allow you to use the space.
I would like to highlight this beautiful quartz countertop with chamfered edges.
And then we have a rustic closet from Nogueira.
All these drawers are a great flexible storage space.
And then we have this huge mirror with a finish on our hand-painted material.
Take a look at these lights.
They bring a lot of light and it also reflects in the mirror.
A great thing about a personalized shower is that we can take up all the width of this space.
And we can also create whatever elements we want inside it.
Customized shower niches.
See these different sizes.
Perfect for soaps at the bottom and then high shampoos here.
And then, if you need help to wash your legs or wash your feet.
There is a niche down there to offer support.
In addition, there are large-sized tiles on the walls.
And then, there are much smaller format tiles on the floor.
Why is this done?
It is to help create the perfect cone for that central slot.
Think of it as great.
Once again, like that backsplash we had in the kitchen.
That was subtle and kind of mixed with the drywall.
We have this happening in that space too.
Now, take a look at this.
I've never seen this before.
There are running doors.
This allows it to become a private space when your guests are visiting.
I think this is absolutely great.
The doors we have in this house are a 3-panel shaker, 8 feet high.
It's perfect for a house this high.
The ceiling heights here are really excellent.
This is a 3-meter wall.
It was 2.7 meters on the side walls of the house.
But we are 3 meters here and it goes up to about 7 meters on the roof.
If you had a 2.03-meter door, it would simply not be appropriate in this space.
Now, there are some rooms to be considered where a 2.03-meter door would work very well,
like a laundry room, something really far from the side of the house.
So, we'll see that later on the tour.
You can't just put any common fan in this room.
It has to be something impressive that fills this visual volume of the space.
This large windmill fan is over 1.80 meters in diameter.
Look at all those pairs there.
It is also self-balancing.
You will want to spend extra money on a self-balancing fan so that it works more efficiently and silently.
Let's take a look at all the great ideas in the suite master.
We have a great view of the suite master lake.
And although you may consider that, of course, you want to enjoy the view of the lake,
the owners love to lie in bed, looking at the night sky and seeing all the stars.
Now, if they want to use their persians, in this case, they are persians, but persians are also an option.
They are integrated into the window.
There is a third glass panel that is articulated there.
We can adjust how they work.
Now, you may want to consider, you will probably put curtains anyway.
So why not incorporate them into the package of windows?
And this is great because they remain free of dust.
You never need to clean them.
This is convenient.
With very high ceilings in houses like this, a great opportunity to incorporate a loft space is created.
Imagine if this wall continued to the top.
This wall would be very difficult to decorate.
But now we can continue with that visual space.
We can have a view of the loft.
We can see the steel bars, the fuses with the beautiful metallic elements.
And then we have our edge.
Worn pine trunks and 8 by 8 hand-carved null posts.
Everything looks so good.
I really like the idea of being able to see that large 4 by 12 masonry beam up there.
It offers a lot of structural interest to the house, which is great to see how all these woods come together.
And what a big main bathroom.
There is a lot of space here.
It is great to consider that there is a lot of accessibility.
It is good that you can move easily.
We have a box with zero barrier, your box.
It's a huge shower.
We have a very large bench here.
More personalized niches, a handstand.
So, this is not only convenient, of course, for your daily use, but also to wash the shower.
Something I really like about what was done here is the coating of the shower ceiling.
I think that adds such an elegant aesthetic instead of continuing with the rest of the wood.
The bathroom is a very individualized area.
And here we have a small sink.
So, you have the sanitary vase, a beautiful window.
It has matte glass on both windows.
And then take a look at the huge mirror in this space.
Imagine having so much space in your bathroom.
Look at all these benches.
There is a lot of storage space below with all these drawers.
Even an inverted drawer base down here.
Normally, this would be a false drawer above because there would be a sink behind it.
But we reversed everything.
We brought this drawer down and now you have extra storage.
I think it's a great idea.
We have double sinks, taps mounted on the wall.
So it keeps everything clean and easy to clean.
And continuing with the extra large mirror and our hand-painted materials embellishing.
See, this is something that seems extraordinary.
You don't find this in a store.
It is something made to measure for the house, which is perfect for a house like this.
Comparing with the original Timberhench, I love what they did by adding these 4x8 beams above.
And then make this cabinet opening even higher.
Why not?
We have a 2.4 meter high door here.
And then we raise the head a little higher.
It doesn't cost much more.
We continue to the closet.
We have very good closets here.
In fact, it is the same selection that was used in the comb.
So, we configured all these drawers in a personalized way so that everything fits.
And I love that we can easily access the laundry.
This is very convenient.
Imagine that we have a load of clothes to wash.
We can go there, get everything and take it to this space.
We work for an area of the house where we now have a right foot of 2.7 meters with a 20 cm strip.
And these doors are no longer at this height of 2.4 meters.
They are 1.93 meters.
A standard door height.
I think it is very appropriate for this space.
Putting a sink near the garage makes perfect sense.
It doesn't matter if you're leaving the city and need a quick stop or if you're working on the outside and need to run inside quickly, you don't have to go through the whole house.
Now, instead of having a pedestal sink here, we incorporate closets.
That's why I love having closets in these types of comforts.
We can store extra bedding and toilet paper in that space.
And that gives you as much space as possible on the bench.
So here we have a normal height bench.
Often, these benches are raised to extend over the washing machine and dryer.
This is a very viable height.
And it uses the solid crown surface, which allows us to have this lid placed on the sink, providing extra space to fold your clothes.
Something I didn't pay much attention to are the finishes around the doors and windows.
They are amazing.
They are 2 by 6 finished by hand.
And see how they meet the handle of this closet.
This is simply perfect.
That's why it's so good to work with Golden Eagle to get all the finishes, windows and closets.
All this is thought in advance.
As the house is in an inclined garage, we have a unique space here.
The owners, with all the hospitality they offer, wanted to have an ice machine near the garage.
That way, when they are refilling the refrigerators or going fishing on the boat, they can easily access the ice machine.
We also have the washing and drying machine on pedestals and a lot of storage space above.
And right there in the corner, there's a freezer and a fridge.
Of course, we have access to the garage.
We'll be there soon.
But first, you need to see what was done above the garage.
We went to Eagle's Nest.
See, what's great about being along a lake is all the wildlife it attracts.
There are so many eagles flying around, and that's why this is a very appropriate name for this space.
These windows, of course, as well as the windows of the other rooms, have integrated blinds.
This is really wonderful.
There is no bad view in this house.
A king size bed.
What a really good use of this space.
We can even incorporate.
See, you have very exclusive ceiling plans.
So, we can incorporate a closet here.
Custom height door.
So, of course it's shorter than normal doors.
But still, we have a very good finish.
And that light came on automatically when I opened the door.
And when you're in this space, you also have your own bathroom.
What a beautiful bathroom, with a beautiful cover of tiles in the shower.
A really big comb.
Continue with the custom mirrors.
I think this is an incredible example of how Golden Eagles products are cool.
See how unique this finish is.
We have a very beautiful wooden strip going on.
Now, of course you don't need to have wood in your house.
And often, an accessory space like this is not used all the time.
This is a good way to use more common finishes.
But in this house, everything is very well done.
And there are some surprises right there in the corner.
I have to show you this.
This is a bonus deposit.
So, although many houses don't use this space, we like to do it in ours.
And the owners took it to a totally new level with this elevator that they incorporated into the floor system.
This allows us to go up and down all seasonal decorations, as well as bags.
Let's go down to the garage.
There's a lot to show you down there.
You'll see how easy it is to operate.
We've already shown elevators on previous visits to houses.
But we've never shown one like this, which disappears completely in that upper storage space.
With the touch of a button here, we can bring it down easily.
Did you hear how quiet it is?
This is just amazing.
Think about the convenience of this storage elevator.
Enough carrying bulky things up the stairs.
You can even put furniture here.
It's just wonderful.
And to put it easily, these bars are removable on each side of the unit.
This is an extra large garage.
Take a look at the fishing boat.
It has a side-by-side right here.
And there are three doors, being an extra large.
And right here, we can drive all the way.
Nobody thinks about it, but you have the boat towed all summer and, of course, it needs to be refueled.
So, instead of carrying those 5-gallon-heavy gas cans, now you can put them on the side-by-side and take them there.
This is a great forecast.
And even if you have someone with limited mobility, this person can also take a ride on the side-by-side and easily get down to the boat and enjoy the beautiful autumn day, just like we are today.
The owners love to barbecue, so they can easily store the barbecue inside the house.
Open this garage door and get everything ready.
And even if it's raining, we have good coverage and raincoat.
And you're not too far from all your guests, since we have all these meals outdoors here.
Take a look at this huge table.
All of these are Golden Eagle materials on this large pine board.
It's a double edge.
We have our hand-tuned material building the base of this table.
There's just not a bad place here.
The owners also commented that they love how when the sun is setting around 4 pm, we have a very good shade of the house.
Therefore, this is certainly a very comfortable environment to enjoy your night meal, as well as sitting by the lake.
And there are many options for good seats.
We have a bonfire right here.
Some amazing furniture that doesn't need maintenance.
I just love the cup holder.
All of these are gliders.
We even have more chairs right here where we can put our feet on all these stones.
You'll see stones surrounding all this property.
There's a huge change in the level.
Therefore, the stones not only look good, but also have the function of retaining the terrain.
While we look at the view of the lake, everyone looks at this house.
It really looks great.
We have a mixture of three different finishes on the walls.
The stone, cedar roofs and, of course, our exclusive double-wood bulldozer coating.
This house has an artisanal roof system, where the sides lean upwards.
Now, imagine if they were flat on the way back.
We would lose that additional wall finish.
So, this continues to make the wall look taller, which it really is.
You can even see these disc lights that are under all these beirais and also on the beirais on the side of the anchor.
It's a very good extra lighting in this house that you often don't see.
So, when I say this is an artisanal roof system.
A significant feature is how the inclination extends from two feet to three feet at the highest point.
I think this is very good and I like how it extends beyond the large fireplace.
Therefore, a very good visual presence and proportion for this roof system.
Now, when we look at the main wall itself, this large and tall wall.
We have huge finishes here, the corners are very large.
We have beautiful pavements in the back of this courtyard.
You should see what is being done in the front here too.
This is simply beautiful.
A very natural stone being used as a walking surface of the front covered balcony.
It's as if we had a lot of discarded material from all these high-quality benches and we had excellent views.
It's just repainted.
I've never seen anything like this before.
At this point, you must be wondering how the house got bigger.
Even the garage is bigger and has many good improvements, but at the same time it costs less than the original.
Well, to put it simply, there are some decorations that were not done on the outside, but we still kept many of them on the inside.
So, we don't have wooden tiles up there.
And there is also no large wooden tile above the garage.
Take a look at the covered balcony.
We made a flat ceiling with monotrous tiles, but not the large wooden structure that was made in the original.
So, we'll put a link here for the tour of the original house.
And we also present another variation of the Timberhench, and you can check it out here too.
