Hey guys welcome back to another video. With Easter being next week I wanted to
share my spring home tour with you guys and I love doing these for each holiday
so if you're new here and you've missed my fall and my christmas ones I will
have those linked in the description below.
But I personally love seeing how others decorate their homes for different
holidays or seasons so these videos are my favorite.
So to begin the tour we'll start here in the living room
and I'll try my best to explain where things are from or
if I have links I will include those in the description but
a lot of my furniture pieces and decor are thrifted
so I will let you guys know that as well. I always get questions on our sofa and
this was something I found off Facebook marketplace
so I don't have a link on that and my coffee table was thrifted a few weeks
ago and I actually have a video of me redoing this
so I will include the link for that below. Our two chairs and this
awesome vintage looking record player were both from Amazon.
This year I wanted to decorate my mantel with more of a christ-centered Easter
theme so I have my large Jesus print that is
from Reflections of Christ and that stays up all
year and then I found these olive branch frames at Joann's
and then I have this little Easter nativity thing that I bought from
Deseret Book and I will have that linked below.
So I've been going through all of my holiday pillows and we literally have
boxes and boxes full of them so I made the decision from now on I'm going to
try my hardest to just buy pillow covers so that they
are easier to fold up and store.
Now moving into my kitchen the first area over to the right
is our breakfast nook and this is an area I just recently redid and I also
have a video on this so I will have that linked.
We found this white chippy sideboard on Facebook Marketplace and then Thomas
added these two shelves above and we have
loved having this extra workspace in the corner
and then our breakfast nook table and chairs were also thrifted.
Now we'll be moving into the kitchen and dining area and I always get questions
on these bar stools and these are probably my biggest
splurge that I've ever made on furniture pieces but
I have no regrets. We used to have fabric stools and with four little boys they
would get filthy so I always had them covered with towels just to avoid any
cleanup after spills but these wipe up so easily and I
absolutely love the style of them so I will have these
linked in the description below. Now coming into the dining room
this dining table was my parents from before I was even born
so this was something I've had my entire life and I was so excited to get it for
my mom when she upgraded to a much larger table this year
but every single piece of furniture in this room was thrifted so that's
something that I love about our dining room.
Right off the dining room is our laundry room and this is something
I loved about this floor plan when we first walked through it
about six years ago. I loved the bedrooms and the laundry room were all
on the same floor because in Utah sometimes the laundry room will
be in the basement and then the bedrooms are three or four
stories up like one of the homes we lived in before this
but we also have a laundry room makeover video if you guys are interested in that
I will have that linked below. Down the hall is our main bathroom and then we
have our three bedrooms and our bathroom isn't a room I share
often on here but this was one of our first rooms we renovated when we moved
in and if you're wondering why there's a
chair here in the corner I love sitting here when I'm getting my
boys ready in the morning so I can be eye level with them when I do their hair
and when I'm helping my younger ones brush their teeth it just makes it a lot
easier for me. Now into my twins Simon and Cohen's room
they just turned 10 and they have a Star Wars themed room with bunk beds and
they have their cute little art desks under the window
because one of their favorite things to do
is to do art of any kind they love art and they also do their homework here
their room is one of my favorites I love all their action figures they have out
on display and I just think it's such a fun
boy room. This room is our younger two Ezra and Elliot's room
and this is the next room we will be redoing I have lots of ideas of built-in
shelves for their toys and all kinds of things but their room is the room we
have the seasonal book wall in and I love to swap these books out for
each holiday and I try to thrift as many books as I can because
this can get kind of pricey when you're spending full price on all of these
books. I will say I've had a bit of a hard time
trying to configure their beds I think that's my biggest hold up on
finishing this room is trying to figure out
where each bed makes the most sense so if you have any ideas I'd love to hear
from you guys in the comments I think it's just difficult working with
a toddler bed and a crib so I'm kind of debating if I should just
wait until I can put a bunk bed in here but our youngest is only 18 months old
right now so I don't really want to wait that long but if you guys have any ideas
again I'd love to hear them in the comments. The last room is our master
bedroom and this is a room we just redid in a
youtube video so I will have that linked. We
completely built our bed from scratch and for the stone fireplace we used a
faux paneling with grout but in real life it looks and feels
100% real it's crazy. We do have a full basement with two
bedrooms and a storage room and a movie area and none of that is in
this tour but I will have a video linked below
that shows those rooms if you're interested in watching
they aren't decorated for spring at all so I like to save that for a tour that I
do in the fall and at Christmas time when I go all out
downstairs. But that's everything for this video
thank you guys so much for watching if you have not yet hit that red
subscribe button make sure you do that and we'll see you
guys in the next video.
