PragerU's own Will Witt enters the belly of the beast: Hollywood Blvd on Oscar Sunday, to find out how people really feel about outspoken celebrities. Check it out!
what's up guys this is wale with Praeger
you today we're at the Oscars here in
Hollywood Los Angeles California and
we're gonna be talking to people about
celebrities and if they believe their
political beliefs and what they think of
this so alright let's get started
but tonight I'm gonna turn up smoke hi
my man
turn up see how it goes do you take
celebrities political opinions seriously
not really good smart man do you guys
take what celebrities say politically
seriously do you respect their opinions
[Music]
but if Tom Hardy said something
favourite actor in the entire world and
Tom Hardy I love you so much like you
were my man and I love you I'm Tom Hardy
in disguise actually do you guys take
celebrities political statements
seriously no no do you guys take what
celebrities say seriously when they talk
about politics at all absolutely not
finally some smart people I take you
guys seriously okay do you take
celebrities political opinions seriously
no no why not I'm a very conservative
person myself so look at you you and me
both okay any opinion should be taken
with a grain of salt and just because
you're famous doesn't mean that you
really know what's going on so maybe
even less so know what's going on what
movie are you guys looking forward to
winning tonight at the Oscars Black
Panther like Panther it's not nominated
it's not what movie are you excited to
win the Oscar tonight what do you think
about politics at the Oscars at the
Grammys things like that is that a good
thing should they talk about it there um
I don't think so do you think it's
hypocritical that all these celebrities
talk about no guns and
and they have 500 policemen with guns
surrounding them that and they film
movies and make money off of movies that
are all about violence and guns - I
don't think anybody should have a gun
but that's just my personal anybody but
the police you know Americans about all
this yeah freedom stuff turf and madmen
stuff but I mean it's the 21st century
so I think you should change that what
do you guys think about gun control in
this country what are the next steps for
us well we're coming from London so I
don't really have this problem so you
know guys also don't have much of a
Second Amendment in London right I was
at the shooting range yesterday actually
do you think I'm a killer I was there
too last week but like it's incredible
that it's so crowded there that's that's
what I'm saying
you think all the people at the shooting
range our killers no but they're
interested in shooting this what I'm
saying shooting a piece of paper I mean
I'm all for peace you know let's all be
peaceful and hopefully not have any guns
at some point in the near future it's
just you know live peacefully together
and enjoy our lives that'd be great
right just smoke we live peacefully do
you think people who already have guns
right now should have their guns taken
away from them I mean it worked in
Australia safe guns the same gun same
guns always Jones I actually like that I
actually like fun I actually like people
that really don't like people I actually
like people with everybody don't want to
fight people I mean it's crazy you have
like 12 year olds walking into Walmart
and just grabbing a gun and just going
and shooting people it's insane do you
think we should take people's guns away
absolutely 100 percent how else were you
change it what would happen if someone
didn't want to give away their gun in
America a lot of bad things probably
that's true I don't think Americans
really want to give up their guns no
they do not
you
