What do you know? What do you know? What do you know? What do you know? It never changes. It never changes. This is my very first time on a business class flight, and I am currently in seat 1A. I don't know when the next time I'm going to get this opportunity, so I thought it'd be fun to take you guys along with me. Yay! I'm excited. I have always wanted to open up a humanities kit, and this one is with a bear body. Oh, yes, yes, yes. This is like a little wellness bag. We have eye masks, little soft tissues, a pair of socks. Shout out, Rowan. A tiny pen, a little dental kit, which is helpful because I think I forgot toothpaste. Earplugs. Okay, first, a little towelette, hand cream, a lip balm, a hydrating mist, and lastly, an eye serum. All things that I'm going to definitely use. For now, I'm going to get ready to eat. There you go. Okay, perfect. Thank you. We are starting off with some ginger ale and some nuts, our little trail mix. We got burrata, a salad, the focaccia with a little rose-looking butter, red vinaigrette dressing. If my dad is watching, there's a little heart of fall. Thank you so much. Oh my gosh, how cute. They had a little ice cream cart, so I thought, why not? We made it. We just went to try and check in, but they don't have anything available right now. We're just going to stroll until they text us and let us know that it's available. We're going to try to get an idea of the map in our head. We need to create the map. That's your first espresso. I didn't say I can't. I have to look at it. Un cafe por favor. No, not por favor. The small pistachio tiramisu from Two Sizes. Our first Italian. And I don't like tiramisu, but this pistachio one is pretty good. It's good. It is many hours later. I needed to take a shower. Dina needed to take a shower. We just needed to feel better about ourselves. So we're making our way towards the Spanish Steps, because I think this is the only day that it's going to be pretty nice out. It's going to be raining for the next couple of days, so we're going to try to do more indoor things like Vatican City and the museums. I know this sounds really lame, but I really want to try a McDonald's here. So maybe we'll get that for a midnight snack. You're worse than a capricious child who always wants a tattoo. You're the most selfish and overbearing man I've ever met. Oh, it's a single shot. How pretty! And of course, we had to do a filming location. This is kind of cheating, because there's going to be more later in the trip. But this is the location for Emily in Rome. She was sitting right on those steps. There it is. I wanted to come here my whole life. They have a whole new system now to get down there. You have to wait in the line. We were going to get some pizza, but of course the place is too packed and we don't want to wait very long. So we're going to try to find a random pasta place. They're pretty strict with this. Because we're not going down there, I'm going to have my Lizzie McGuire and Paolo moment another day. We just wanted to come here and at least say that we saw it. Oh, I just missed it! He proposed! How cute! Al Pantheon. And it's right next to the Pantheon. And this is actually our very first meal. Like, true meal in Rome. In Italy. Not counting the Cafe Greco from earlier. So I'm very excited. I got the rigatoni with some pork. Dee got a carbonara. And then for both of us to share, we got the mozzarella and artichoke. Dee got carbonara and I got a rigatoni with some pork. Here it comes! Good morning! We are getting ready because today is Vatican and shopping and eating day. It's going to be a little bit rainy today. So we're also preparing for that by going a little bit more casual with our outfits. Things that are comfortable, that we don't mind getting a little bit wet. You excited? We're excited. You have to go through a specific path when you're here. And we finally got to this little null where there's not that many people. This is so cool. We're heading to a restaurant that I saw on Instagram. However, that location was already fully booked. So we're going to their new location called Romoletto. We're so hungry. We had to take a small break. Wow! The restaurant is in Campo dei Fiori. Which is actually where our new Airbnb is going to be tomorrow. So it's giving us a good idea of what the next half of this week is going to be like. Smile! I felt very touristy. Dee made a good point that if the restaurant has the branding all over the plates, it's good marketing. It might not always mean good food. It was just okay. We have had better pizza in Chicago. Which says a lot. We are going to a gelato shop next. Popular. Which one did you say you were trying? Hello. I ordered in Italian and I'm proud of myself. I got un piccolo pistachio. What did you get? Un piccolo stracciatella Grand Cru. Here it is! Taste test. Alright, now you can listen to me eat. Cheers! Really good. Very creamy. But I forgot the secret topping. Just put it in here. And swallow it all together. This is actually our first gelato in Rome. So at the moment we don't have anything to compare it to. We went to get breakfast this morning and now we're getting ready to go to St. Peter's. We are checking out of this hotel today and going to an Airbnb. Why do I always look so dark? If you're going to come here, I highly recommend that you buy your tickets online. Because we skipped the entire... Like everything. It felt like VIP service. We're trying to connect Dee to this. So that way he can get a copy of the audio book. Well if you're like us and you don't want to go on a guided tour. Then you can pay, I think it's $5 or $8 for an audio book that they send you. And then all you have to do is make sure you bring headphones. And then you walk around and do something on your own. Because we like to go really slow, take pictures. We don't like to be rushed and I know that we miss out on some of the fun information. But it's just what we like. And we're going to get stamps for each of our family members. This one is for my sister and Carl. This one is for my sister and Zach. And then this last one is for my parents. For your parents. Buonasera! We just checked into our Airbnb in Campo de Fiori. And now we're going to get some food in Trastevere. We've been getting into this habit of eating at like 8am and then not eating again until 5pm. I think it should be about a 20 minute walk. Wow, wow, wow. Honestly, would highly recommend. It was so good. It was redemption for the pizza that we had yesterday. Because we really did not like the place that we went to for dinner. We feel happy. So now we're off to get gelato. And maybe, did you want an espresso? Yeah, ooh maybe an affogato. Or maybe an affogato. I got a stracciatella. What did you get? I got, what did everybody get? Is it a cannoli? Cannolo Siciliano. It's basically a Sicilian cannoli. Oh my god. Wait, it really does taste like a donut. Another filming location.
