10 days in Italy (part 2): shopping in florence (leather haul!) & pizza nights

It looks fake. That is incredible. This is the one I want. We are inside. The Chloe's on a hike. Ladies, uh, sleuthing capabilities. We, uh... Dad, did you get it? Everyone's gone. Give it to me, man. What happened? Good morning, guys. Actually, good afternoon. And welcome to another Italy vlog. Starting the vlog in a town called San... San Gimignano. Excuse my pronunciation. I know it's I'm currently on my own little exploration. Fam has gone off and I want to just like freely wander in all the stores and take my time and look at everything because there's so many beautiful stores with such unique pieces and like I just want to look at all of them. It's honestly really peaceful. It's like the perfect temperature. It was raining at the house this morning and so it's just nice to be roaming around, feel the air on my face, and we're just gonna freely wander and see what I stumble across. I'm just like popping into any store that calls my name. It is so beautiful here. How beautiful. This looks like a an old well. It's gotta be old, old. I think we're gonna go this way. Giddy up. I told you. I think that's exactly what I want. Yeah? I want a mini Kelly dupe. So cute. They're only 45. 45. Balenciaga dupe. It's a lifestyle. Cute. I love these. The red bag I definitely need like this exact shape but do I wait for Florence? It's the same stamp. It is the same stamp. I also like this one. Yeah. Wait do I like the brown? What are we getting dad? Oh yes. Fuck you. Look at the view. 4 30. We did a little separation time. The boys went off. The girls want to shop. That's definitely gonna be tomorrow as well. Tomorrow we're going to Florence but it's 4 30. We have an hour and a half drive back to the house so we are heading back. We have a pizza night tonight. The property manager is gonna make us pizzas with the pizza oven. It's 300 years old so they didn't advise attempting it ourselves. So he's gonna make us some pizzas. This view is un- it looks fake. It looks like a literal postcard. Unbelievable. We got some more wine and some cheese for tonight and the rain's coming back in. Final stop on the way home. Pam's Superstore. Did you say choppy? Funny thing about getting older, I feel like I'm a lot more sensitive to things like windy roads and it is quite the experience driving back here. Hey dad? Yep. Yeah and so it's quiet time for me and the back seat was feeling a little unwell. But we're back for the rest of the evening and we have pizza night tonight. Yay. We were gonna go check out what they look like in the pizza room. Okay. Go and have a look to the fire. Yeah we wanted to look. Smells good. Oh wow. That is incredible. Okay they just told us that we can make our own pizzas. So Emily and I are gonna make one together. Ciao. Ciao. Come in. Oh it's hot. Want to try? Yeah. My pizza? We would love to. Okay. Yeah I noticed them yesterday. Pretty right? Where are we going first? Steamer spa. 10 p.m. Steam was insane. I think we're in cold plunge in the pool. Where the hell's the uh clicker? Slight left toward Piazzale Europa. Oh ----. 100 meters. This guy doesn't have a permit. I kind of think we're good. Well should we walk one over? We made it to Florence. Today is the shopping day. Here we go. The first food. All right that's great. Let's eat. Sit down. I think Mitchie's getting hangry. Oh look how cute. Through there if you want to avoid the leather market. Yeah and then we'll get the leather market on the way back. I am leading the fam to my favorite restaurant that I had been to last time I was in Florence. I am so excited. It's called Trattoria Zaza and I had uh this truffle pasta that was like literally the best thing ever. Oh here it is. Oh it's all over TikTok. We're gonna do shopping after we eat. Anyways it was the best truffle pasta I've ever had in my entire life. We must go. No one had a set spot in mind for lunch so I said I know a place. Now we're going. Yeah Zaza. Oh yes there it is. You smell the truffle? Yeah. Thank you. No it's okay. It's fine. I like it here. The tiny chairs. No it's actually quite comfortable. Oh my god they have an omelette. Creamy truffle special omelette. I think they have some truffle specialties. Yeah there's the truffled Florentine style bruschetta. Uh I'm gonna do the tomato and basil. Oh the lid is on. Wait who did this? Did somebody do that? I'm so happy right now. I loved this spot so much. I always hoped I would come back to Trattoria Zaza. It is beautiful. Truffle ravioli has been ordered. With some bruschetta. We've got the regular which seems to have a creamy cheese. And we got the truffle. Wow. I have to try it. I thought that's what y'all needed. Thank you for the card. This is sickening. This is the creamiest looking ravioli I've ever seen. I'm so excited. So much sauce. It's just as I remembered. It's amazing. I can't believe I get to eat this again. What a dream. On the tour we go down and then you know out and about and maybe get some steps. We're gonna um brief you guys okay. All right. I would like to see the Duomo before we leave again. Oh yeah for sure. That lived up to everything I could have hoped for and remembered. It is time to shop. It's time. It is time. We've been waiting for this. Oh my god it looks like a longchamp. Look at this like It is cute. Oh my god. We're gonna have a whole ass time. Buy one get one free? Okay we'll come back around. They have little windows where you just ring a bell and you get wine. I know. I hope it is. Emily is guiding us to this one leather shop that we saw on TikTok. They like stamp your initials in the air. It looks amazing and she's done her research and no it's not. All the Google reviews are amazing and the Yelp reviews. So we've been like bopping into different stores but we've had this place on the mind where we have to see if it's good. Otherwise we can't buy anything you know. You see it? Holy heck. Okay all right. I think so. Wow it is so busy in there. We're gonna do it. Very popular. Oh my god. ------- TikTok. All right. Now do we see the bags we were looking for? This is the one I wanted. But let's see if it's the same price as it was yesterday because it looks definitely the exact same. At least the inside is the same as yesterday. Oh that's true. It doesn't say because it was 59 yesterday. TikTok strikes again. They look like all the rest of the stores but the line was crazy. Oh it's just the jacket. We're moving on. Wow okay. What do we do? I don't know. That was my only option. I know. There's another one down there. Okay let's do it. Purchased. I got it at the store next door for 55. The other one was 90. Oh I like it. How much is this one? 60. Hers was 55. Big success. We did it. It's unbelievable to look at. Oh let's go in there. Oh my god there's so many places to go to. I have to get my manicure or something. Perfect. This is cute for like olive pits or like to put olives in here. How am I gonna decide? Stumbled across like a little flea market. I actually had one just like that. Really? That's crazy. I love seeing if you can get places like this. It's just so cool. Okay we're heading to this perfumery from 1221. Look at this though. What a place to be. Wow. Oh my god. It's so pretty. Are you kidding me? Look at these soaps. Oh for your clothes. And it comes in more. Oh no just kidding it's not a set. This is so cool. Big success is today. I will show you everything when we get home but I feel very good. I feel like I got everything that I wanted today. There's a couple more things I could have got as always but overall I got like everything. The main things on my list. Okay now we find out if we got a ticket. Lovely. What are you talking about? Bad turn. Oh no it's getting bigger. It's fine. But I'm probably gonna have to double back. Yeah it's good. God's great. It's a little peaceful. Everybody has stars and rainbows. And all of a sudden one bad turn. Oh boy. God. Who's Michelin? Oh a truck of course. Holy at the roundabout. We're back on track. Oh sweet home. Did it dad. Another day. Today we're doing more pasta at home. Gonna be delicious. We also have cheese that we got yesterday. Gonna do a cheese board but gotta show you the haul. First and foremost the bag. I really wanted a beautiful red leather bag. I feel like this is the perfect red too. It's like a deeper red. I didn't want anything too bright. I feel like this is just so pretty. Like the perfect pop color. And obviously so special that you know it's from Florence that I can have this and wear this at home and have it as like a little memory from the trips. We got that. I love her. And then I got this t-shirt we were walking by and I was like oh my god. I love a baby tee and I thought this was fun. I don't know. Italia. I don't know where I'm wearing this but I figured I would at least wear it around the house. Really quite possibly could end up being a like sleeping t-shirt but another good mem. Lastly I did get a perfume from the perfumery. Honestly I had to. Like it was just so cool and different. I don't even want to attempt to say that. But how pretty. Let me show you the bottle. It's just stunning. I just got the smaller size. How gorge is that? I love that it says Forenzi 1221 on there. I'm just like where am I getting this at home? I'm not. It smells so good. Really happy with the scent that I got. It's like very fresh. I also think it's fun having a scent that you wear on trip because whenever you wear it after that trip it will always remind you of the memories and the time that you had there. So I thought that was really nice. Now it's today's haul. I think we're gonna chill. I want to post my Instagram stories and we'll have a little cheese board. Okay I uh I put on my new top. I honestly think it's cute. I think it fits well. Mr. Mitch just put together a very wonderful cheese board. Wow. And just like that it's now uh oh dinner time. A little caprese and then it's a double pasta. Kind of nice. Tomato sauce with shallots and parm. Pesto and parm. That is actually the burrata sandwich or dollops on whatever you choose. My dad just comes in the house like guys I got a cat. This is now our cat. The little white tail. I'm gonna give the cat some milk. Sienna. Yes you're the little milky. Yeah she is. Of course she's gonna drink the milk. This is hilarious. This is a big cat too. Let's give her parmesan cheese. She didn't finish her milk. No I kind of did it run away. She has a name. He ran after her. Mom did you want one of these? Yeah. I'm bringing out all the new stuff today with the new fragrance. That smells so good. It's like so fresh. That's good enough. Marcian Gaiole. Marcian Gaiole. Oh ----. Private property. Dad. Private. Today we are exploring a bunch of villages around the house we're staying at and we're just exploring. Honestly we have no idea. We're gonna see what we stumble across. You guys can stay here I'll bring the uh foggy floor. It's very nice. It's what a gentleman does. What a gentleman. A winery. How perfect. Are you open? Yes. One minute I'm coming. So what do you know about the wine tasting? So that's the first thing. Smell the cork. Next is what she does. So open the wine. And it's never the color in the center. Yeah. It's always the color in the arch. If you see that the bright is bright red means it's a young wine. When you see like this one that has become a little bit gold you can have vanilla. Thank you. Storm's brew and high possibility we get poured on. We will see. It is just about 4 30. We had the greatest time at that little winery. Like it was just the most unique cool experience. Very very small winery. I can't believe what I'm looking at right now. Family run like just so cool and I don't even know. Look at this. Holy ****. She doesn't even look real. Anyways it was very educational. She was telling us all about the Chianti region and the different grapes and Sangiovese and what's in a Chianti. How they make their wines. It was just very very interesting. Do a lot of wine tastings with Ryan's family so it was cool to learn more. Holy heck. Jay take a picture of the mother. This is epic I'm telling you. Go a little more a little more a little more a little more a little more. Okay got it. Like what a shot. It was wonderful. I bought a couple bottles. My parents bought a couple bottles. Now we're in a town called Rada. It might come pouring down on us. I think this will be our last stop for the day. I love all the church bells. So pretty. This is so cool. I feel like I live here and look what I have. I have our bags. Oh that's great dad. There it comes. I got some tomato paste to bring home. Probably the same as home but you know it's from Italy. It's got to be a little better yeah. Yeah actually where is the pan? Oh you did it. Oh whoa that's cheesy. It said either vinegar or lemon juice. Okay so tonight I'm in charge of the spicy vodka sauce minus the vodka. Dad's doing six sheets. No it's not. Okay so it's spicy vodka sauce minus the spice minus the vodka. It's a sauce. It's basically just a rosé but we're sharing the cream so I'm waiting patiently to see how much. Make sure to check on the asparagus. Dad's specialty. Not spicy, not vodka. Vodka sauce. This is so heavy. This guy. I got it. Oh yeah. Thank you. It's gonna be so good. Wow look at the feast we have. So we have a my pasta. Oh thank you. Asparagus. Mushroom flatbread or something. Yeah. The salad. We were eating some greens. The six cheese pasta. Jake and Em made that one and then dad made this one. Mom made veg. Oh the light pasta. Thank you very much. Someone hit the freaking speaker. Much better. Clearest day. Wow. Our last day they gave us a nice little gift didn't they? Yes it was. You know what I'm gonna take, I'm gonna take the main route. We're going. Holy. That was quite the trek. I'm not wearing the right outfit or the right shoes. We're wearing dresses today. We were not prepared for a hike. But we have arrived. It's got to be a thousand years old. Solid. It's actually from last year. Oh look at this. They did. Somebody put some new blocks to keep people out. So they didn't want people walking around. Yeah because it's actually a little dangerous in here. You know like these. You know what I kind of want to move now. First of all could you please get out of there? Yeah guys. The last castle might have been a little dangerous. We did not know. But this castle I think is gonna be very pretty. I think it's actually been converted into a hotel. But I think it's been open since the 1500s. Wow. That is gorgeous. This it looks fake. Are you kidding? We just did some pics here. It is so sick. This is why we did not know we were going for a hike. Somehow it is the last day in Tuscany. I feel like on one hand it blinked by like it was a second but it also feels like we've been here for weeks. Time on trips just feels completely different. Like the weeks fly by at home. I mean this week flew by here too but just felt so different. We didn't get the luckiest with the weather on this trip but for our last day we have beautiful blue skies and we have like an hour maybe two hours. Two hours until dinner so I thought that I would come sit outside and read my book. Take in just the vibes. We we lost the clicker again for the pool. We had it. We lost it. We found it again and we seem to have lost it again. So I think my dad's on the hunt trying to find it and then he'll come out and join me. I'm just going to sit out here and listen to the birds and feel some sun on my face and just take it all in. Sounded too good to pass up. I've been trying to do some editing in any downtime but I was like you know what this is the last day here. I gotta I gotta enjoy it. Okay I'm actually moving into the direct sun. Welcome. There she be. Look at even the lights up in those things like they're on fire. Oh I do. Up in the artichokes. Wow that's nice. That is next level lighting. The artichokes are on fire. It is 10 o'clock. Nobody else wanted to do the steam and sauna but it's our last night and it felt wrong not to do it so. Had it steaming up. Oh yeah you can see the dripping. Oh yeah that is ready. Okay we're going in. Me before the steam. Post steam. It's like 20 minutes later and I actually I'm tapping out. It is so hot in there like destroys ya. Like I'm ready for bed. Oh guys that was hot as hell. Somehow it's already 11 40 after my spa experience. I was sitting out there in the living room with my dad and my brother just talking about life and upcoming changes and growth and it was a very nice way to finish off this part of the trip. Our time in Tuscany is coming to an end and we are off to Rome tomorrow. My parents are going to the coast. Me, Jay and Em are going to Rome just for a couple nights. Honestly I've done Rome a lot so I plan on doing a very different trip than I typically do there. Obviously I will bring you along for that. So that'll be the next vlog but I am gonna end this one here because I feel like these vlogs are ridiculously long and uh yeah. We made it to the end of this vlog.
