Hardcore Winter Fishing in Destin - How to Launch Your Bait 300 Yards! Three Okies had 3 1/2 days to fish the emerald coast in the Destin area. We fished as hard as we could during that time surf fishing, shark fishing, pier fishing, and inshore bay fishing. We used live shrimp, fish bites, whole Bonita, redfish carcass and whiting for bait. For Cody and Kevin it was their first time fishing in saltwater and they had a blast. On the third day we used the Sandblaster Baitcaster to launch our baits up to 300 yards out into the surf.
