Destin Kayak Fishing - Inshore At Crab Island

yeah it's so early it's so freakin early we are heading up to launch in kayaks near crab island we're gonna go fish around the Coast Guard Station and some other areas up there so we're about loaded up it's 5:15 in the morning and we're gonna go get after it [Music] [Music] [Music] we parked and launched our kayaks from the west end of the south side of the Destin bridge from there we made our way under the bridge and went and fished the coastguard station jetty pretty hard from there we made our way back to the bridge and put on some trolling lures and trolled our way all the way across the Destin bridge then when we made it to this little protected area we fished it pretty hard around the docks and the pilings having some pretty good luck from there we headed to the Destin Harbor we saw lots of schools of bull reds and big black drum but we could not get them to bite we even tried to cut bait but they just wouldn't hit anything that day now you know where we went so let's go fish alright we're here crab island getting ready to go out on the kayaks waiting on guys to finish up getting ready all right you ready let's do this here you go and we're off like a herd of turtles see right here at the jetty all right got the Voodoo mullet on thanks to Laurie it Stinky's suggesting this go on go Dan first fish yeah oh yeah that's gin-clear don't let him pull you in there [Laughter] he had topwater awesome that's a big child man heck yeah don't let me get away yep I left my net slipped him in there damn that's a big trip out nice big trout spook two or three of them hit it they were crazy aggressive me there's over like a 20-yard period Oh one jumped right next to me situated I'm getting ready to troll the whole bridge here the destined bridge patrolling next to it with some big lures so hopefully something happens here okay i trolled the whole bridge from one end to the other and absolutely nothing happened oh that's great good cast over there right through here's the harbor where I fished where I caught those big blue fish oh I just had a huge God dang man I just had a monster hit holy cow whatever it was hit it freaking hard that had to be a blue fish man got something got something I gotta get out of the freaking oh damn it got him whoo I think it's a blue thinks the big blue oh yeah nice bluefish like not far just like to the second piling nice it's not bad no bad size yeah when I was just working it back in just like jumping it he just hampered thought I was hung up at first [Music]
