He Said I Couldn't Fish This LOADED Marina, Guess What Happened?

Alright guys, good afternoon. We are out here in Alligator Harbor out close to the Big Bend. We have got some Fiddler Crabs and some Blue Crabs. We're going to see what we can get to bite today. We've got a good seawall here covered with oysters. Tides coming in. Wind is pretty high right now. So I've got pretty high hopes. I think we can catch maybe some drum or sheeps right here. So I'm going to get set up and we'll get some baits in the water and see what happens. We've got our Frisky Fins Sheepshead Jig right here. This is my Ninja Dagger 7 foot. It's got a Florida Fishing Products Osprey CE 4000 on it and it's got 15 pound braid. So we're going to drop this down. We're going to put probably, let's put two crabs on and if we don't get any bites with this we might switch to a split shot rig. But we'll see what happens. We'll just kind of drop it down here and see. Oh there we go. We're getting a bite. Got him! Yeah! Ha ha! I knew I felt a sheep. Yes! I knew there would be something here. Sweet! Not a monster, but I mean he would probably be legal. Ha ha! Alright. Okay. That didn't take long. That's a pretty good sign when your first crab catches you a sheep's head. So we're going to let this guy go. Not you get back! No sheeps for you! So I see a guy pulling up in a golf cart from the marina. And I knew I was okay because I was fishing at that public boat ramp. He turned out to be a nice guy. We were just talking some fishing, but then I asked a question. If I kayak fish in here, will they run me out of there? Oh, okay. So the only way they can keep you from fishing in a marina is if they pay property taxes on the land under the water. And the majority of waterfront businesses don't want to incur that extra charge. He didn't say anything about that. He just said they don't want people in there hitting boats with lures. So I made sure there were no signs up on the entry to the marina that said no trespassing or we own the land under the water. And that helped me decide that I was going to come back tomorrow at 5pm after they've closed and fish it. And man, I'm glad I did. Okay, let's get back to fishing. There's a, there's definitely a bigger satisfaction when you go fish somewhere that you've never fished before, you research it, Google Earth, all that stuff, trying to find out what and where to fish. No help from anybody else. And it works. That's a good feeling. Oh, here we go. Oh! Hook pulled. Dang it. Another sheet. Ah! I had that guy. Oh! How did I miss it again? Damn it. How did he get me in there? Oh! No! Getting outsmarted by the sheeps. Got him! There we go. Ah! Ooh, this is a good one. Feels better than the last one. Maybe not. About the same size. Fighting though. All right. Number two. Not monsters, but I will take them. Outspin me. Oh! Number two. All right. Boy, he wants a meal, doesn't he? Another's got to be some big ones, though. See what I'm doing. I'm getting the line fairly tight, and then I'm keeping my finger on the line there so I can feel the bite. And then when I feel a little tap-tap, I'm moving the rod tip towards it to give it a little slack line so it won't feel the line pull, and then immediately setting the hook after. All right. Got him! Yeah! Oh! Dang it! I had him. What happened? Ready? Got him that time! Ha-ha! You're not getting loose. Ooh, this is a good one. Oh, boy. It's a better one. Oh, yeah. Oh, boy. This is a tank. Oh, why didn't I bring my net down here? Oh, why didn't I bring my net? Oh, boy. Ooh. Oh, I got him in the fin. Nope. He's in the mouth. It's in the mouth. All right. Let's go. Woo! Yeah! Look at that tank! Ha-ha-ha-ha! That is a beast! Did he swallow it? Holy cow. I've never seen one buried that good. All right, guys. Got a nice sheepshead. You see, somebody's waiting to get him, but he's not going to. So, we're going to let him go. Get him back in the water. That's a good 19, 20 inches. You didn't get him. Woo! That was a good one! All right, guys. Not a bad little afternoon. The three sheep lost several, but that's all right. I caught that nice big one. That was fun. So, we will pick this up tomorrow. This is not the end of the video. So, the plan was set. I'm going to come back tomorrow afternoon after they close and fish it. That way, avoiding any drama. And I can just fish all I want. All right. Good afternoon. It's a late afternoon, guys. We are back where I fished yesterday, but we brought the kayak today. So, I wanted to wait until that marina closed. So, we're going to go drop some fiddler crabs and see what this spot's holding. All right. Let's go. I got my Frisky Fins Custom Sheep's Head Rod. It's made for the kayak. I got my Florida Fishing Products 2500 Osprey CE on here. I got 10-pound braid, beyond braid line, with 15-pound fluorocarbon leader. I've got one split shot, and I've got a number one... Oh, what do they call these? Gosh, I can't remember the name of these. I'll show you when I get them out. I'll show you the package of them. But they work real good for the sheeps. Got them. Oh, yeah. That is good. What is that? Oh, that's a nice red. Oh, damn. I should have netted that. I got my net on the wrong side. Stupid, stupid. Can't believe I did that. That looked like a slot red. I'm not going to keep one, but he looked like a slot. I think the fish are loaded in here. Yeah. All right. Let's try again. There. Oh! Gosh doggit. How am I missing these guys? Guess I've got to set the hook harder. Let's just try one. Got him. All right. I hope you get eaten. Got him. Another redfish. Little one. Little guy. All right. A lot of reds back in here. Cute little guy. Got a sheep. There we go. Got a sheep. And it's a micro sheep. It's all right. I'll take it. Better than nothing. There we go. All right. Got a cute little guy here. Let him go. I knew there would have to be a sheep there. Frisky fins, Rod, do your magic. All right. Oh yeah. Got one. Got a good one. Well, it's not a big one. Dang it. I thought it was going to be one of the big ones. Wasn't one of the big ones. Gosh doggit. I mean, probably keeper size, but not what I'm looking for. Ah. Those ones I saw were monsters. Oh, and he crapped all over me. Nice. Thanks, buddy. Dang it. He was going to get me in the freaking rocks there. At least I got him off of there. All right. Let's go back to the jig. Got a little more power with this rod. Man. That was a good one. What do we got? What is that? What did I get? Another red? Yep, another red. Not what I wanted. Oh. Hook came out. Another cute little red. Little guy. Usually a red is going to get that whole thing in its mouth. Got it. Ah. Yeah. I knew there was another one over here. Come on. Easy. Man, where are the big boys? I just, I'm getting these average size sheeps. I cannot seem to find. Oh, gosh. Oh, don't do that. Cannot seem to find the big, big ones. Stop it. There we go. Wow. That was a good hook set. There we go. All right. Decent. Decent sheep. Not a monster. But I will take them. Take anything I can get this time of the day. Do a little quick dash over here to try under these right here. We'll call it a night. I'm getting, been eaten alive by the freaking, whatchamacallits. No seems. Got them. Oh, this is a good one. Gosh dang it. All right. Whew. Ha ha. That was a cluster and a half. But I got them. Yes. Wheat. It's the best one of the day, I think. Not as big as that one I caught yesterday. That thing was a beast. But yeah. That's a nice one. I'll take them. All right. I think we got time to catch another one before it gets too dark. I love my frisky fins rod. It is by far my favorite sheep's head rod. I need to get them to make me a conventional so I can use it with a bait caster. Because I like using that loose. Got them. Oh boy. That's another good one. I don't know if he's that big or just a fighter. Yeah. Yep. Just a fighter. Geez. That guy. Holy moly. That guy fought hard. All right guys. See that's a good one. Ow. Oh. Fin in the leg.
