Deerfield Ridge Trail, VT — Exploring the Wilderness of Green Mountain

March 03, 2025 | Mount Snow to Haystack Ridge Trail, VT • It's been on the list for some time. I knew it's doable, but nobody knew the conditions. It was not clear if I can ski on the other side. It turned out I picked the best day possible for this 'hike'. Bluebird, fresh snow, once leaving the resort I was alone for the whole time. Coudn't ask for more. The planning suggested 12 mile day, it ended up being close to 15 miles (22km) of schlep. Good fun!
