A Modern Classic for Close-up. Venom Cube Compact Edition Review.

hi welcome to real magic revieww my name is Steve fnite and today we're going to be looking at the Venom Cube again but this time the compact [Music] Edition before we do this can you please like And talked about this a lot because I've been performing Venom Cube for a few years now I think it's the best or one of the best routines you can do on stage matching Cube routine someone mixes a cube up all out of one out of 64 for quintilian combinations now I know everybody does that there's a reason for that if you're one of those people that goes on everybody says the same thing why wouldn't you it's incredible the facts and figures um that you can talk about when talking about the amount of permutations a cube can say dreadfully boring when I say it now but if you look it up it is people are genuinely interested so don't worry about it talk about it tell you stories about it and it's a great presentation they mix it up and then you get another one and go look amazingly it m is one side there look and then another side there you see it just goes there another side there see and give a chance to have a look at it there there and there and then you've got the matching Cube effect it's brilliant and then you can go on to do a further match if I can remember how to do it because this is a different one than I usually do I've set it up uh there you go and you can you can match it um if you want again uh I do it the other way around by the way I do Michael Murray's solution followed by Venom Cube and then sometimes I do a little match if I'm feeling cheeky uh match keep saying match solve sorry yeah there you go uh right so that's good isn't it and if you're one of those people that girls don't like Cube magic it's not Cube magic it's a magic trick with a cube the audience don't see as cube magic they see a trick with something that they're not really used to seeing many many people people haven't seen Cube Magic by the way so it breaks things up it's wonderful I've been doing it on stage for a long time as I said but I've not really ever done it in closeup two reasons one of which I I want to save my stage stuff for stage but the main reason is I did it and tried it out in closeup but two cubes carrying them around is a bit of a pain this might not seem that much smaller but it makes a huge difference now the good thing about this is it isn't the little mini cubes that's super fiddly this is a really good quality midi Cube but it's cute it looks really cool and when you get these out people go oh that's cute and it's that's a novel thing in itself but it is so fair it's so fooling it's so strong and especially if you do that that presentation and really let people know that the chances this are so minuscule and it's open for lots and lots of different presentational ideas I do a thing about the joy of learning and the learning bit isn't solving it's the actual getting to it that's the that's the bit and actually when you solve it it's not quite as impressive you kind of solve it go is that it and then you try and get faster and faster cuz you you you know we all hunger for that challenge so all that sorry I don't know why I told you that really um just demonstrat I suppose the fact it doesn't have to be just look I'm soling a cube so I know I've said all that about the Venom Cube that was a long time ago it's easy it does take practice but it's super easy I suggest you do learn to solver Cube if you're going to perform it you don't have to but it just makes things a lot easier if things go south it's non- electronic and it's not techy now I did go down the tech route with Cube stuff before but I might do again but I just I always go back to this I always go back to that thing that I can control and it it just feels a lot better I kind of feel a lot safe with it it's all in my hand so to speak and I can you know has gone wrong a few times cuz I've had a bit of a brain fart but um other than that it's just solid so there is another um effect that he's put into this especially for the compact Edition this is a kind of out to lunching when you you can do the the matching show that not only is it match but it matches this card that you've got and then you take the card out you do your sove at the end you show them the thing there and they can have a good look at it you do the solve at the end turn it over and also the picture itself which is a lovely lovely effect I'm not sure whether I feel right putting it after the Venom Cube matching effect CU that is so so strong but it's you know that's that's out for discussion I really like it and it's a good thing if you want to get them to sign it you know you show them it uh mixed you get them to sign it give it to them it's still signed and it's soed that's a really nice giveaway you only get one with this I think or maybe two but you can buy refills and they're not very expensive if you want to do the sort of giveaway thing so there you go it's a lovely thing it's strong it's kind of easy the reset is very very quick it takes a bit of setup you know when he talks you through it you're going to have to cuz you can customize it at the beginning you'll know what I mean if you get into it it gives you a couple of really good fake shuffles and one-handed soles and things like that in it which um I've used both of them actually and they're both great and if you want to sort of geek out it like I did you can go to the refractor guys um or or to uh USU the cube DVD which is stunning so there you go I hope you get as much fun out of this as I have if you get it and I know that Henry's come out some amazing stuff recently and this is kind of you know been out for a while but you know as I always say magic doesn't get better it just gets
