Why Can’t I Finish the Thing That Matters Most? The Dark Side of Perfectionism

I’ve been working on one course for about six years, and the closer I get to the end, the harder it gets to finish. This is me trying to work out why, straight to camera and unedited.

If you’re stuck on something that matters to you, this might help a little.

It’s not laziness and it’s not a character flaw. For me it turned out to be perfectionism, and a few old assumptions about myself I didn’t know were still running the show. If any of this sounds familiar, you’re not on your own.

The book I mention is The Art of Possibility by Rosamund Stone Zander and Benjamin Zander.
