George Frideric Handel was a German-British composer, famous for his operas and oratorios. Born into a music-loving family in 1685, he received his musical training in Halle, Hamburg and Italy before settling in London in 1712 and becoming a British citizen in 1727. Strongly influenced by the composers of the Italian Baroque and Middle A founder of the German polyphonic choral tradition, he established three commercial opera houses within 15 years to provide the English aristocracy with Italian opera. In 1737 he suffered a physical breakdown, changed direction and turned his attention to the bourgeoisie: he switched to English choral works. After his success with Messiah (1742), he never again performed an Italian opera. Handel found success with his performances of English oratorios on mythical or biblical themes. The pathos of Handel's oratorios is ethical, sanctified not by liturgical dignity but by the moral ideals of humanity. He was nearly blind and lived in England for nearly fifty years. He died a respected and wealthy man.
The video was shot by Simone Schlegel in Switzerland. I always like it when the fog and clouds move in different directions, it makes it more interesting to watch. The video was edited by Wenjing Ma.
