Pfizer Covid Vaccine Update - Delay to Booster Dose Explained - Dr Gill

Yesterday, the government contacted individuals who have already received the first Pfizer covid vaccine doses to explain there was going to be a delay to the second vaccination dose, the booster.

The reason for this is due to the new variant outbreak of COVID19 currently spreading rapidly in the UK and the need to maximise the number of patients getting access to the protection offered by the Pfizer Covid vaccine first dose - which is thought to be as hight as 90%

Whilst it is this important that everyone gets vaccinated, this video attempts to set out what the delay in the vaccination schedule mean for patients in the real world

This refers specifically to the JVIC short statement published December 31st
