This is the driving force behind the Vast space station, joining the growing ranks of commercial space habitats.

However, due to its relatively recent establishment and a reputation not yet on par with Axiom Space, Blue Origin, Sierra Space, or Northrop Grumman, the Vast project was initially overlooked and excluded from NASA's official programs. But now, against all odds, Vast is leading the race to become the first commercial space station to launch into orbit.
In a major update published on February 6, Vast announced a critical milestone: “Haven-1's primary structure qualification article has passed a critical test milestone: successful proof testing on 1/31/25.” Alongside this statement, they shared an image of the Haven-1 module standing tall within its vertical test stand at the Mojave Test Site in California.
