Chinese people take competitive sports very seriously, especially when it pertains to
small material gains.
Such cases often happen with food, like this, or like this, and of course, like this.
But rooted in the martial arts traditions of China,
of course, this has evolved into what I like to call the Chinese combat sports.
Buffets are, of course, a breeding ground of combat styles, especially because,
well, food fights are very much a core of this combat sport.
And it adopts many different styles, such as verbal,
physical,
even sometimes poisonous.
Even free fireworks cannot escape the combat sport.
Christmas decorations.
This happened on December 24th, Christmas Eve, in a shopping mall in China.
Propped gift boxes on the Christmas tree of Wenyu Plaza were snatched by customers.
The video shows that customers climbed the tree and pulled down the gift boxes,
and then, this seemed, of course, very chaotic, but somebody was saying that,
be careful, don't move, there's electricity attached to the tree.
And the mall staff responded, there's nothing in the box,
and it's all empty, it's just for decoration.
And these are all training montages of real cases of Chinese combat sports.
But we all know that Man vs. Wild, PvE as they call it,
can only get you so far in your training progress,
so of course you need real combat experiences if you want to progress to the next level, aka PvP.
So I present to you the Chinese Mortal Kombat,
with two Cs, the first C stands for Communist.
This is three people engaged in combat over a good fortune god,
some I personally think it's a statue, but it could also just be
getting in the line for the fortune giving.
And this is on top of a mountain, very much verbal styles used, a group fight that is.
And this one is inside a movie theater,
they got a live performance instead of a movie for a Crouching Tiger and Hidden Dragon showing.
And this is an old video but very much gold,
dude is trying to have lunch and got a live combat show out of it.
Sometimes a feint attack is more powerful than it seems,
at the moment you may appear weak by falling on the floor, but then get up and continue on.
These two grandmas got tired fighting over eggs,
so they laid on the ground and continued their combat.
Even in scenic areas or vacation spots, you will see these group combat events,
and honestly they make the WWE tag team fights look like child's play.
Now some people do resort to what's called the rogue skill tree, or I guess the thief skill tree,
what they like to do is go around and steal people's money, even if it means temple money.
Sometimes, in order to channel the energy of this combat sport,
you really have to dig in within the core of what you believe in.
So this is a mindset.
In some cases, we understand that confrontation requires two parties,
the right party and the wrong party.
But what if the wrong party always believes that they're the right party?
Well, that is when combat sports in China happened.
This happened last month in Fujian province,
someone set up a stall in a park to give away breakfast for free.
And imagine you're flipping out over charity pancake and bacon.
That's what happened.
So this man, he walked in late and he wanted to get free breakfast.
Of course, they were done.
The man wearing the hat started to curse at the charity stall owner because
of course he didn't get to eat his fried dough sticks.
And this happened on November 30th, 2024.
The man in black entered someone else's store to sell his products to other customers.
And when the clerk tried to stop him from selling in the store,
the man started to yell back at the clerk.
Yeah, dude, great yelling really showed you that you're better than that girl.
This one's even worse.
Now, China is very strange in that some people believe,
of course, you're entitled to after-sale care.
But what if that after-sale care became after-steal care?
Okay, this woman took a sweater yesterday and then came back today in the video
because she didn't like the quality of the sweater.
So she's asking for an exchange.
So after hearing all of this, who exactly is the winner of this Mortal Kombat?
Well, after all, Mortal Kombat is about having fun for the whole family.
Alright, thanks so much for watching this episode of China's Kombat Sports.
