安東尼奧·卡洛斯·巴西里羅·迪·阿爾梅達·裘賓（葡萄牙語：Antônio Carlos Brasileiro de Almeida Jobim，1927年1月25日—1994年12月8日），生於里約熱內盧，逝於紐約，亦稱湯姆·裘賓，是曾獲葛萊美獎的巴西詞曲創作人、作曲家、編曲家、歌手、鋼琴家與吉他手。有著創作巴薩諾瓦曲風背後的強大原動力，裘賓因譜曲《伊帕內瑪姑娘》以及許多爵士樂與流行音樂而廣為人知，被公認是二十世紀最具影響力的作曲家之一。

巴沙諾瓦（Bossa)約於50年代興起，輕鬆的曲調、甜美又慵懶的演唱聲線、吉他的溫潤音色、加上背景沙沙作響的打擊樂器…等，是巴沙諾瓦給與聽眾的第一印象。這是一種源自美國沉緩的酷派爵士(Cool Jazz)與巴西熱情的民族音樂森巴相互結合而產生，有著有著酷爵士沉靜緩慢的基調，配上森巴的節奏感，呈現出輕快卻又悠閒、舒適的氛圍。葡萄牙文「Bossa」是一種舞曲節奏，「Nova」為「新」，也就是當時稱此種曲風為「新節奏」的意思。

巴沙諾瓦的吉他伴奏乍聽之下十分的輕巧純粹，但其實和爵士樂一樣，其中運用很多的七和弦以及九和弦如 Fmaj9、G9、#Fmin7…等，雖然這兩種和弦在流行樂中也並不少見，但不同的是巴沙諾瓦中幾乎整首歌的進行都由七和弦或九和弦所建構，有時候吉他甚至把根音直接放給Bass壓底，逕自在高把位組成音間游走。

而說到巴沙諾瓦，就不能不提到巴沙諾瓦界的國歌：《伊帕內瑪女孩(The Girl from Ipanema)》，《伊帕內瑪女孩》出自《蓋茲與吉芭托(Getz & Gilberto)》專輯，據說這是安東尼奧•裘賓在伊帕內瑪海岸遇到名為Helô的女孩，產生靈感而寫下的一首歌。

為了更被美國市場所接受，選擇讓當時擔任翻譯、會說英語的João(人稱「巴沙諾瓦之王」的喬安•吉芭托(João Gilberto))
的太太艾絲特•吉芭托(Astrud Gilberto)來錄製女主唱與英語歌曲的部分，因此在這張專輯會聽到男聲的葡萄牙語，與女聲的英語歌曲。唱片發行後大受好評，而艾絲特那不經雕飾的自然嗓音，也在此偶然的情況下意外的走紅，奠定了她在美國巴沙諾瓦界的發展基礎。

有聽友留言詢問到塑膠直笛是否有能演奏出好聽的音色。想當然現在的製作技術已經提升，雖說還是會缺少木頭特有的共鳴，但在演奏較為近代的曲目時，塑膠直笛反而是更能駕馭。
這次錄音，就選擇了30多年前買的塑膠中音直笛跟現在比較常使用的玫瑰木中音木笛。來讓大家聽看看，哪種音色更適合Bossa Nova。我個人是比較喜歡塑膠笛帶來的微微沙沙聲，反而更能體現Bossa Nova歌唱的音色。
