Nhà Thờ Thám Hoa Giang Văn Minh- Làng Cổ Đường Lâm (Ancient Village Relics in Duong Lam)

From the Son Tay City, along with the national highway 32 approximately 4 km, we reach the land area which has maintained a lot of appearances from the Vietnamese villages in the past. This is a Duong Lam ancient village. Tab Duong Lam commune from Son Tay City, there are currently nine villages: Mong Phu, Dong Sang, Doai Giap, Cam Thinh, Cam Lam, Phu Khang, Ha Tan, Hung Thinh and Van Mieu.
Having experienced the thousands of historic years, the land area now maintains a lot of famous historic, cultural relics. This is an archaeological relics of Ben Ma (Van Mieu) belonging to the new stone age, being relics of worshipping national heroes with 8-national ranked relic and 1 provincial ranked relic, in which there are famous relics such as: the Communal house of Royal parents Phung Hung, Ngo Quyen's temple and mausoleum, Mia pagoda (Sung Nghiêm Tu), the temple of Tham Hoa Giang Văn Minh ...
The Duong Lam ancient village bears the specific value of an old Vietnamese village located in Song Hong (Red) river) Delta. If regarding Hanoi, Hoi An Ancient Streets as "Urban-style museum", Ancient village in Duong Lam as "Agricultural-style museum". The cultural space of Duong Lam Ancient village composes works owned generally by the community such as: Communal house, pagoda, temples and ancestral temple, old houses in accordance with the natural landscape in the low hill of half-plain half-mountain.
Apart from artistic architectural works such as: Mia Pagoda, Mong Phu Communal house (XVIII century) and Communal houses, temples, ancestral temples in commune, the Duong Lam ancient village has maintained for approximately 300 popular specific ancient houses of Red river delta. Those are some prominent houses about its architecture, materials, are wood, laterites, Ri tile roofing with exterior, interior has preserved its initiative design. Most of Duong Lam houses all have gates, fences, yards, gardens, screen, main building, subsidiary building, kitchen, cattle-breeding area. it's very familiar that they has been left not many at the communes in the provinces.
On November 28, 2005, Ministry of Information Culture (Now called Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism) issued the Decision 77/2005/QD BVHTT on ranking the Duong Lam Ancient village national historic relics.
For those advantages, Duong Lam has been being an attractive destination to many domestic and international tourists, a very important part in the programme of coming to Son Tay Tourism.
