This is the best luxury rollerball pen. Hello everyone, this is Amit Dhan today.
We are going to unbox and review of the Scrivener
rollerball pen which I bought it on Amazon.
So this is the box it comes with and it looks kind of like in a fancy box
and according to the manufacturer this is the only pen
only British pen brand to win the King's award.
So that looks like a real luxury type of pen.
Now the one I bought is a red color or they may say like you know crimson
red, deep crimson red. So we're going to take a look at it.
So let's open the pen first and I think here we can just go ahead
and open here. Let's see what we have
in here and it looks like it's kind of not easy to
take out. So let's see if I can. Okay so now
it's coming out so I'm just going to put it
in here. Okay so there's another box and this is like you know a very
nicely made hard paperboard box and let's see how you
take out of here. Okay so this one seems to be coming out slowly
and once you take it out the first thing I'm seeing so you can extend the
warranty which is going to give you two year
and you have to register within 10 days from
date of purchase. So I bought this long time ago so
this does not apply to me and also you know I don't know
really anything about the guarantee and flip the card over for free bonus. We're
just going to keep it there and here we have the pen.
Let's take a look here. Actually if you take a look here
you can see that lift tab for a spare refill
under pen tray. So they attached a spare refill.
Now this is like a velvety cushiony bed for the pen
which looks very nice and also feels very nice to touch.
And if you flip it over then here is the refill and that's all we
have in the box. So we can just like you know put it
back here. So I'm just going to quickly take a look
at it. It also looks like you know fancy and nice. It has a paper
case on its own and you can see the scrivener is right
there and if you take it out then
is there something else? Okay. Oh actually there's something else here.
What is this? Oh this is spring here. So I'm assuming
this is the spring which stays inside the pen. It's like
kind of a backup and you can see that this is a scrivener
non-dry refill made in Germany. I believe this is made
at 88M and this is a kind of common refill for many other
rollerball pens. And if you take it out then you can see that
this is the
refill. So that's a nice touch that you have
one set extra. So I'm just going to put it back
so I don't lose the spring. So now this is the pen. We have it
right here and let's take a look at some of the features here.
And here you can see the word scrivener written as
well. So let's take it out and I'm going to see how I
can hold it. Okay. So the thing is
the edge looks like if I hold it it doesn't give you a good grip.
But you know if I hold it right here it just feels fine.
So definitely I'm going to be like using holding it here.
And the finish actually kind of very nice.
So this is their saying that you know chrome
lacquer finish metallic like in a body. I think this is made of brass.
And it's a you know it's nice to hold. Feels comfortable and it has a little
bit weight so it's going to be balanced. But let me just put the cap and then
actually I don't like it after putting this
because you know it feels imbalanced. So whenever I'm going to be using it
definitely I'm just you know I'll just set it aside and put it
there.
And if I open it let's
okay so this is the same refill which we just took a look at.
And this is made in Germany 888M. And I think the spring may be somewhere
here. Let me just see. Yeah I can I think there's some spring
here.
Okay somehow it doesn't come out or could it be you know here you can see
that there's no spring in there. So I think the spring is right there
and yeah I don't feel any spring on this part. It has to be somewhere here
but you know I don't think it's possible to take it out.
Okay so I'll just put it back and let's do a quick
writing test to see how it goes. So I took out my Moleskine
notebook which is from 2023. And let's take a quick writing test.
Guys the writing is really smooth. That's something I cannot really complain
about. It feels very smooth to write. Incredible incredibly smooth writing.
And let me just take a look on the other page. So this is like a paper
of Moleskine. Sometimes they kind of bleed a little bit on the other side.
But it's very smooth writing. So the writing feels very good you know.
There's no complaint. So you have to kind of like you know
use it without the cap or the head. But if you
put it and try to write I think it feels kind of weird.
Yeah I feel it's like just like a little bit long and not balanced.
But when I remove it then it just feels nice.
No complaint about that. And let's take a look at.
So this pen I never heard of the name before.
It just kept showing me on Amazon. It's Scrivener. And then I kind of got
interested and started looking into it. So this is
not like you know let's say Parker or Cross or other
very popular pen or Schaeffer. But this is like you know made in England.
And I think they are trying to be a fancy pen brand. And this is
their first pen I'm trying. The price range I remember it's like
this is like you know 40 to 50 dollars Canadian. But I bought it on Boxing Day.
I had a discount but I forgot the discount because
I bought it a few months ago and I didn't like you know take a look at it.
So overall I'm happy with the product. I cannot really complain that much.
Looks like you know looks very good. Feels good in hand.
And the writing is actually very superb. So the writing experience is very nice.
And overall this is a very good experience. And it's a good thing that
they added the extra refill. And also the box is very gifty. So
definitely this is going to be a good for like you know gift when you give
someone as a gift. And also you can just give yourself a
gift which I did. And if you enjoy writing definitely this
is going to make your writing experience more pleasurable and
more unique. So I'm happy with the product. And this
So that was the Scrivener Rollerball Pen made in England.
And thank you for watching and I'll see in the next video.
