We break out a list of our favorite whiskeys based purely on value. Last week we told you 5 whiskeys to stay away from! This week we talk about good whiskey that won't break your bank! These are our top 5 value whiskey that you can actually find.
Alright, we're the bourbon junkies. Welcome back. Rock's glass intact.
Glen intact. Did you think I was gonna hit it? Yeah, I looked at it with the camera. How imagined would that be?
How imagined? This is what we're gonna drink during this video. If you're wondering, 4-gate batch 6.
She's a sexy gal. We're gonna tell you today the best six values. God, you're just amped. In whiskey.
These are the things that we think are the best six values currently. You wanna start low, go high? I think we start. High, go low?
Alright, we'll start high.
Top of the list.
Value-wise. Money-wise.
Sean's getting the bottle slap in. That's how you know things are going well today. Kicking off a good day.
Okay, Old Forrester 1920. You know what the best part about us putting Old Forrester in videos at this point is? People just know.
People 100% think they're paying us. They won't respond to our emails. Yep, they think timeless.
Old Forrester is putting, Old Forrester has broken
every algorithm. They have changed the whole game and people haven't figured out that they should just follow yet.
They have the best whiskey at the best price point. Without allocation. To exist. Without allocation.
Yeah, because we both love Sazerac's whiskey a lot.
Oh, we don't like like the allocation game and like all the things that come with it.
But yeah, the Whiskey Row series, I can go anywhere and it's pretty much everywhere. Just everywhere.
Yeah, and it's often the same price everywhere. So this here for us. Yeah.
This is a $60 bottle for us. And we'll always each have one on the shelf.
But needless to say this bottle, one of the greatest values in whiskey. We've talked about it a thousand times.
$60. Right around our wheelhouse of our favorite proof. It's amazing. It's the best. It's the best.
116 point X and under are among some of the greatest bottles of whiskey. Not allocated. Also huge value to that.
Speaking of which.
The second most expensive one. I think so. $45? Yeah, I guess. I think it's like $46 here. It's $44.99.
Okay, something like that. Put a little tax in there. It's $45. This is Sean's like baby too.
Yeah, one of my favorites. Honestly. Still to this day. I like the new batches quite a bit.
Um, more than I like the old batches, which are interesting. Except for that like 2014 one.
The one that I lost. Lost. You didn't give it away. You lost it.
I literally basically gave it. It was 11 to 2. I basically gave it away.
This is probably, I would say among, because it's not an allocated limited release.
No. I would say that. It's another one that you just walk in and it's there. I would say this is actually probably
the best turkey product that's not a limited release. Yeah, I'll give you that.
That's why I can't go without it. Through Spirit, through Forgiven, through 101 and all that stuff.
I would say this is the best release they do. It's the quintessential turkey product in my mind. Like because of that.
That when people are starting to get into it and you go through the regular, whatever, 80 proof.
What do you say? 86? What is it? A low proof one? I don't know. 81. 81.
It's random as shit. Yeah, so you go through the 81 proof and then you jump into the 101.
Yep, and then you're like, wow, I do like turkey products. Then you buy this and you're like, wow, this is the best one.
Yeah, it is. And it doesn't, this is actually one of the ones that you can introduce to people that's not too hot.
I don't think. It's a very, very low proof, barrel proof. Yeah, 1920 is the same.
There are a couple batches that we've had that drink kind of hot. Yes, the G's.
But for the most part, they drink pretty smooth for 116 proof. Oh, either way,
like if you're talking barrel proof. The novice whiskey drinker, you know, people that have had a couple 90 proofs.
You get there, the 100 proofs. You get into that, you're like, wow, that's good.
Listen, if you find me another damn good barrel proof, and this has 12 year whiskey in it often.
So because it's a blend, if you find another barrel proof that's good and has any aged like actual older whiskey in it for $45, buy it because that's an amazing.
I don't know of another one. I really don't. I don't know that there is another one.
I feel like that's a fair one right there. Another one of my favorites.
That's that is probably one of the ones that I tell people to buy the most often when they're like getting into whiskey.
Yeah, this is an old 4th Street 86. Low proof, 30, nice and sweet.
Most people don't want something that's really oaky or nutty or anything like that.
It's an abrasive flavor when you're not used to drinking whiskey.
Yeah, and this is it is super sweet. It is like syrupy fruit.
Dan likes to hate everything I enjoy and I forget first wine all the time.
The weird thing is I like Barton products.
The weird thing about this Barton product is for some reason, my mind goes, you can't like that one.
Because I like it. That's it. I mean, maybe, but like, and then you put it first in blinds.
You're like, oh, that's definitely what happened with early.
Yeah, the 1792 small batch is amazing.
It is a good bottle. It's cheap for $30.
Oh, it is $30. I always think it's $35. It's $30.
And that's in our state. Michigan seems to have higher prices than a lot of people.
Some. Oh, it tastes like if you took the Red Runt,
like the Apple Runt or whatever it is, and the Banana Runt, put them together, eat them.
It's a boozy fruit cocktail. Damn, it's $30.
Hint of oak. Can you get rid of this cork, please?
Can we change this 1792? Other than that, great whiskey.
Listen, I don't care if you up the price, make a ******* less gaudy cork. Just do that.
Bottle number three or four, whichever one we're at.
Just count the bottles in there. Bottle number seven.
It's four. What are you looking for?
I keep reaching for the old Foresters in there. I keep moving them because I like them.
You keep drinking them, you elkie.
Yeah, well, they're cheap and they're good value.
They're easy to find. Oh, wow, you're doing that.
So what we're talking here is the old, we call this, you know how there's a trifecta?
That's three. They don't.
That's a double. Difecta?
I mean, it would be, but I don't think I'd have to worry.
The caps? We'll figure it out.
We'll figure it out. You talk.
I'm going to do this. You talk. I've never hated you more.
Oh, that's definitely not true. 20.
Oh my gosh. The bottom.
Just talk. Why are you having a problem?
Twenty two dollars. Twenty four dollars.
And we used to hate the label. We went in because we were like, why would I pay
twenty two dollars when I pay twenty four dollars for the orange label?
Yeah. And just get a hundred proof.
Eighty six. Listen, they're both.
Then we blinded him multiple times. And then the 86 keeps winning.
They're both fantastic. Now that we had one orange label forever because the 86 kept winning.
So we were like, we only dream 86.
And then I killed the hundred and bought another one. And it's amazing.
I forgot that it was so good. Yeah.
That, like I said, that is the number one beginner whiskey.
Oh, you touched the table way too hard.
No, I grabbed this. I grabbed the box.
I thought you were just. No, no, no.
I picked up my finger. Just put them down.
I am, dude. I just want everybody to know how my balancing skills work, dude.
That is the number one bottle I tell people to buy when they're getting a whiskey.
These are two of the best beginner bottles of whiskey on the planet.
The value on these is so high.
I'm saying we're to the point that we're a little bit past a novice drink of whiskey.
I will still buy and drink these.
They're incredible dailies.
Yeah. You can't go wrong.
They're the end.
Among the best, among the best value whiskey you'll find under the Brown Foreman line.
That's all that's a truthful statement.
What's the next one?
Here back to Barton.
What are you doing?
I'm just trying to figure out where to put these on the table.
Barton 101.
I hate you.
Nope. Very old Barton bottled and bond.
Yeah. 101.
I don't know.
It's not even a thing.
No.
Now this bottle come to Michigan.
Nope.
Come Michigan.
I need you to stop ripping.
I'm not ripping. I'm smelling.
I'm smelling.
Every bottle.
I'm smelling. I think you can get a handle for 24.
So it's somewhere in the teens.
It's somewhere in the, yeah, exactly.
I have a handle of this at home.
It's somewhere in the teens.
I forgot how cheap I got that bottle.
This is, this is me realizing.
This is the best bottle under 20 bucks. I'd say.
I'd say that for the most part, this is the best bottle under $20.
Yeah.
And in a lot of other States like Ohio and Kentucky,
it's readily available everywhere.
Well, and yeah, it's also free.
Great bottle.
Now, does it taste like bananas with a little bit of nut bread in there?
Definitely.
Is it fantastic?
Yup. Is the proof right?
It's a hundred proof for 17.
We'll call it 17 bucks.
You're getting a real short finish on this one, unfortunately.
Sure.
But that's a seven.
But it's got good, solid flavors.
Dude.
20 bucks.
See ya.
Any bottle under $20.
You have to sacrifice something, right?
So you're not getting some four grain for 20 bucks.
Right now.
Do you get this bottle?
Which is a weird shape.
Yeah, for sure.
Now, do you get this label?
Which is, it's fine.
Definitely.
Now, do you get damn good whiskey?
That's definitely worth $25.
This or Jack Daniels.
Oh my gosh.
You're buying a match.
Yeah, it's not even the same price.
I can get a handle of this for the price of Jack Daniels.
And this is better whiskey.
The end.
Figure that out.
Yeah.
So needless to say, these were our top favorites.
We have two honorable mentions.
Thanks for watching.
Yeah.
Sean's got an honorable mention that you guys, because I'm sure everybody right now,
and everybody watching this video is thinking to themselves,
Sean didn't put this and Dan didn't put this.
Oh, it was a double flip for Rooski.
We're the bourbon junkies.
Lost Monarch in early times.
Honorable mentions.

Never seen this.
Help.
