Bronze Medal Match - Club World Championship 2024 | Praia vs Milano

Tricky sometimes inside-out. Lovely cut. How they're setting their stall out here. And their rotations. That was a lovely platform set. Touching the block. Kuznetsova. Woah, what a swing from her. An absolute pocket rocket. Reid. It's very tight. Lovely. Oh my goodness, how did that go over? Nettinia, amazing. But it is Dalderop who... That is an ace from Igonu. She seems ready to play. Oh, great pick-up, Bukidame. Good save. That's fantastic from Dalderop. That's a good call as well from Nettinia. And it won't be coming back. Touch but for Bukidame. Dalderop's got work to do. That's the only place the ball could go. Seemingly for Gattaz, a little bit past the antenna. Now Kuznetsova. Well dug. Silla. Good up by Nettinia. No second ball option. That's well dealt with by Caffrey. But now it's an opportunity here for Dentil. They've wrestled the situation to their advantage. Caffrey gets the point. Excellent rally. Caffrey's so good at that. Demese's been doing it all match long. Now Kutaczyk with the cut. Oh yes, what a touch. Nettinia gets the pancake and they will have their point and they will get level. It's another ace serve from Oro. That's two she's had in this match now. That will wrap the set up. 25-23. Igonu comes. Good, right when she's required the most. That's a lovely block. Mia Reads. Then Carol Gattaz, the two biggest blockers. Second set. Down a bit off. And it was given their way. And that brought a massive piece of the block. As Milano increase their lead here. 16th block. I'll tell you why it's a 16th because Demese was credited with a block for Kutaczyk in the first set and Demese wasn't even on the court. And it's another one. Caffrey can't find a way through. The blocking's really, really working well. Kutaczyk's like, oh my hands, my hands. They're getting in. Is that in? It is in. Binds the line. Flying. Especially with blocking like that. Not much that Silla could do with that. Maybe just kept the ball in play and then allowed Igonu to get way over the top of that. A bit tight for McCrease. So there's half a chance here for Igonu. And she makes it a whole chance at a point. Good swing. Knife through Butter. Hey, sir, that's in. That's magnificent. Hey, sir, Kazuta, that wraps the set up. An emphatic second set win at 25-16. Milano need by two sets to nothing. Well played Fukudome. She slides in for the Okonomiyaki. Trust me, you'll know what that is if you know what Japanese food is. And that's 3-0 Milano. It's 4-0. The first point comes. Well played by Monique. It's a lovely ball out wide. The speed of that set from Alessiaro. Good save. But it's not going to come back over. Forcing that slide behind. Had a long way to go and there was time for the block to get there. Sillas out of the attack. Igonu isn't. Hey, sir. That was almost kept in play, wasn't it? Great change of hand from Dinesi. Hey, sir, 22-9. Surely Dempsey will have got to get to double figures before this match is over. Igonu again for the match. And this time she makes it. And it's all over. Numeo, Vero, Volley, Milano are the Volleyball Club World Champs Bronze Medalists for 2024.
