Leather Armour vs. Arrows – Can It Stop Them?

Cuir Bouilli or boiled leather was leather treated in a special and mysterious way that was used for armour from the classical world onward and also for highly decorated scabbards and leather cases.

In this video, I explain how I believe it was made and what it was, but also how it worked; but more importantly than any of that, I made samples and we shoot it with the lockdown longbow!
