Once extensive and thorough preparation work has been done and sites located, it is time to map, record and excavate.

Multiple tasks are evolved and these tasks have to be done carefully and in order. Fieldwork is expensive and you typically only get one chance to recover the artefacts and data - so we combine care with speed.
