Trump just got another win on these just recently. Special Counsel Jack Smith has now officially
withdrawn from the classified documents case. That was the raid on Trump's home at Mar-a-Lago,
you might remember. But not all the cases are off the table. In New York, Supreme Court Justice
Juan Murchan has set a date for Trump's sentencing. Remember Trump was actually found guilty of one of
these alleged crimes, I'd say. And he was delaying the sentencing. He has now set it for January 10th.
And that's going to be just a few days after the certification of the election and before Trump
actually takes office on January 20th. He put it right between the two. Epoch Times said this,
it says New York Supreme Court Justice Juan Murchan has rejected an attempt by President-elect
Donald Trump to dismiss his business records case and ordered sentencing for January 10th.
In his January 3rd order, Murchan rejected the idea that the Presidential Transition Act,
the supremacy clause of the U.S. Constitution, or presidential immunity, each of which had been
cited by Trump's legal team, required vacating the jury's verdict or dismissal of the indictment.
Murchan decided that none of those constitutional arguments hold up and he's going to sentence Trump
in just a few days. Now I noticed that Murchan said in his order that he was not inclined to
impose a prison term on the President-elect, citing concerns about presidential immunity.
He also said that a sentence of unconditional discharge appears to be the most viable solution
to ensure finality and allow the defendant to pursue his appellate options, meaning he may
actually just say that Trump gets, you know, he gets discharged, that there's nothing on the table,
it's over. Maybe at most he can give Trump parole or something like that. Now it notes as well
though, in May a jury found Trump guilty on 34 felony counts, raising the prospect that he could
face prison. Experts previously told the Epoch Times that the supremacy clause of the U.S.
Constitution would preclude Trump from serving time. It's gonna be very hard to sentence him
to prison. It notes as well that Trump's communications director Stephen Cheng responded
to Murchan's order by calling it a direct violation of the Supreme Court's immunity decision
and other long-standing jurisprudence. Now look folks, as of now it does not seem there are plans
to sentence Trump to prison. Doing that would be very difficult, but a guilty verdict and a
sentencing of one kind or another, this could actually impact Trump in other ways, especially
when it comes to public perception and notably the way that news outlets may use this to frame
their different narratives as we go forward to undermine Trump's appearance and credibility
when he is again certified as the president. But Trump's team is also suggesting they will continue
to appeal the case and Juan Murchan is suggesting that maybe that's why he's just gonna again do the
sentencing because the sentencing will kind of fast track that process. Trump's legal team can
then bring it to a different court and we will probably watch that happen. Now on the legal cases
as well, Trump is also still technically facing the case out of Georgia and that's over allegations
to try to overturning the 2020 presidential election. But in Georgia, Fulton County District
Attorney Fannie Willis was recently disqualified from the case and she may even need to testify
before the Georgia Senate over alleged misconduct on the case with her own involvement. Blaze Media
said this and said the court decided to remove Willis from the case citing an appearance of
impropriety due to her affair with special prosecutor Nathan Wade and it adds that Willis
intends to appeal the court's decision. In August, a Republican-led Georgia Senate committee subpoenaed
seeking her testimony as part of its investigation to allege misconduct. However, Willis's attorney,
former Georgia Governor Roy Barnes, contended that the Senate committee lacked the authority
to compel her to testimony. It notes that he further claimed that these subpoenas were overly
broad and unrelated to legislative needs. Now it notes that Fulton County Superior Court Judge
Shukura Ingram filed an order Monday ruling the state senate can subpoena Willis and additionally
Willis was instructed that if she would like to submit arguments against the subpoenas,
she must wait to do so until January 13th. In other words, with that case in Georgia,
there's a lot of back and forth and there's kind of a scandal built on top of the case which is
acting to kind of discredit the way the case was brought forward. If it turns out that Willis needs
to be removed from the case, that could actually impact the way it goes forward especially because
again as the district attorney, that does impact the way the kind of the perception of how the case
was brought forward and how the charges were created. Meaning that it's going to be probably
easier for Trump's legal team to have this dismissed or move to appeal it in some regard.
Now Trump has also responded to the recent updates on the charges and the investigations that he's
and here's what Trump said about all these legal cases on Truth Social. This is Donald Trump. He
said there has never been a president who is so evilly and illegally treated as I. Corrupt Democrat
judges and prosecutors have gone against a political opponent of a president, me, he says,
had levels of injustice never seen before. Further and he says with all this said I still have
confidence that the appellate courts will bring justice to America. Suggesting again that he plans
to appeal all the cases that he's being charged with and through the appeals process it will be
shown that he believes he will be shown as being innocent. Now Trump added in another post he said
I never falsified business records. This is again the 34 charges in New York. He said it is fake,
it is a fake made-up charge by a corrupt judge who was just doing the work of the Biden-Harris
Injustice Department and attack on their political opponent, me, he said. He said the accountant
testified with total corroboration that the records were perfect and totally above board.
A legal expense was called on the books, a legal expense. There was nothing else it could have
been called. He said this was the so-called falsifying of records. I was hiding nothing,
everything was out in the open for all to see. And he adds further in, in another crooked New York
case another corrupt judge overturned five times on my case alone. And the most overturned judge in
New York valued Mar-a-Lago and Palm Beach Florida at 18 million dollars when it is worth 50 to 100
times that amount. And then we have also in New York the woman I never met, celebrity photo lines
from 30 years ago don't count, who was awarded almost a hundred million dollars. Now Trump
continues on this thread eventually adding that quote this has to stop and he says it is time to
end the lawfare, meaning legal warfare, once and once and for all so we can come together as one
nation and make America great again. Now on that point it's also very possible we could see similar
investigations into the investigators and Trump has been calling for this. Trump has been saying
that he will not order it personally but maybe the people who brought charges against him could
themselves be facing investigations. Some of them are already getting legal counsel, some of them
already appear to be preparing for this including the special counsel's office under Jack Smith.
Republicans in Congress have been investigating also what's been referred to as the quote
weaponization of justice, the politicization of the justice system to allegedly target political
enemies and Trump has repeatedly referenced this as well. If it's true we'll probably see a lot on
this going forward and again investigations and reports on this have already been published
detailing individuals who members of Congress even recommend should face criminal charges themselves.
