Are you tired of serving overcooked steamed garlic shrimp?
Here are a few simple things you can do to fix it right now.
I took on the challenge of making the perfect steamed garlic shrimp in just 15 minutes.
What will happen? Let's find out.
Butterfly the shrimp from the back side without removing the shell.
Do the same with the rest.
The shells help to protect the shrimp since they won't be overcooked.
They can be easily peeled after it is fully cooked.
In a bowl, add the glass noodles and pour in the hot water.
Soak for about 3 minutes until softened.
Drain.
In a bowl, mix together the garlic, finger hot pepper, soy sauce, and oyster sauce.
Add the glass noodles on a plate.
Arrange the shrimp over them and scoop the sauce over the shrimp.
In a steamer over high heat, bring water to a boil.
Make sure the water is boiled completely.
We shorten the cooking time so the shrimp won't be overcooked.
Transfer the shrimp and the glass noodles inside.
Steam over high heat for about 3 minutes until the shrimp turns pink.
Carefully remove.
After the shrimp turns pink, it's safe to remove it.
Did you know that the shrimp will continue to cook from the residual heat
even after it's been removed from the steamer?
Sprinkle the scallions over the top.
Many people find steamed shrimp to be bland.
The hot oil that we're going to use will change everything.
In a small pan over high heat, add the oil inside.
Heat it up until smoking hot.
Add the hot oil over the dish.
All the aromas will come out instantly.
