Back in the winner's circle for the first time since 2017 and that's what it means to him
and it's no surprise the title drought ends in Brisbane where he's had so much success.
Another winning moment for Andrei Rublev. He kicks off his 2024 season with yet another title.
His 15th ATP Tour title now and a warm embrace with Emile Roussefouari
but hey that's a nice way to kick off the new year.
The Hedge Cup national champion. A first ATP Tour title for the Czech
in what was a gripping final. You have to feel a little for Jack Draper.
There was a huge point at the back end of the second set.
Is the champion in Auckland. What a day for him. His very first ATP Tour title. It's come on the
hard court. Significant moments for the world's number 82 and he's done it coming all the way
from qualifying. Incredible story. Alexander Bublik the history maker here in Montpellier.
He becomes the first player ever to win an ATP Tour title having lost the opening set in every
single match that he played during the week. He loves it here in Montpellier. A multiple champion
now having won it back in 2022 when he beat Alexander Zverev in the final there.
A second career title for Tommy Paul and his first on home soil.
I don't think he's going to get anything out of it nor
does this wonderfully talented young man. What a performance he's produced here.
Dimitrov might have had a little bit of fatigue but
Ugo Umbera has shown us absolutely what he's capable of and that's an awful lot.
That's his fifth successive final that he's won. He wants to win his first ATP title.
Celebration indeed. What a week and a bit it has been for Luciano Darderi the third player this
year to win his maiden title on the tour. Facundo Baggis contributed so much to the week.
Played so well to win so many matches in straight sets but today he was outplayed.
It's victory for Yannick Sinner the new champion in Rotterdam and Sinner will celebrate
for the highest ranked Italian male ever on Monday. He'll be up to number three.
Taylor Fritz the 2024 Delray Beach Open champion did it in style. A remarkable tournament. Didn't
lose a set throughout and beats his good friend and fellow 26 year old Tommy Paul in straight sets.
This is his city. These are his people and this is his trophy. What a moment
for the wild card from Argentina. The young man from Buenos Aires.
It's title number six in the career of Karen Khachanov. The 27 year old finally
puts pay to a breakthrough week for Jakub Mensik. We'll certainly be hearing more from the Czech.
Marathon week ends with him as an ATP singles champion for the first time in his career.
A sensational performance from Sebastian Baez to win the title here in Rio.
The biggest title of his young career so far.
It's a fifth ATP tour title for him but his first above 250 level
gets the better of his fellow countryman Mariano Napoli who had a wonderful week himself.
But it is Baez who is the champion and he is now knocking firmly on the door of the world's top 20.
It's a dream for Ugo Umber. He becomes just the third player in the open to win his first
six finals. He is a man for the moment. He wins his second title at this level.
Acapulco belongs to Alex de Menor again. He defends the title he won here 12 months ago.
A master class of athleticism and tenacity and early ball striking.
Kasper Ruud tried everything but it all came back tonight. The Australian outstanding,
electric and excited and you can understand why.
You have to feel for Alejandro Tabilla who fought so hard after he's been dismantled.
Best in the west for a second straight year and a brilliant performance to go back to back in Indian
Wells. Yannick Sinner is a winning machine right now. It is a second master's title for the Italian.
A first here in Miami. All the respect in the world from Dmitrov and of course that means
this man will be the new world number two. The first keep on coming for Ben Shelton.
A first clay court title and he's also reached a new career high in the rankings of number 14
and that figures to just keep on climbing. He gets the better once again of his good friend
Francis Tiafoe. Matteo Berrettini is back with a bang. A magical week in Marrakesh.
Delivers a first title in almost two years at the expense of the defending champion Roberto
Carbias Baena. That's a lovely moment at the net because after all the injury heartache
he has been through. This man deserves his moment in the sun.
Seal fittingly with an ace. Ubeno Esteril. His first clay court title. The eighth of his career
and a worthy winner. A master class in serving. Got better round by round, match by match
and for someone who says he's still learning this surface, well it's been a great week hasn't it?
Hugely popular win. He's endeared himself to this Esteril crowd all week. It's a hat trick
in Monte Carlo for Stefanos Tsitsipas. Some lovely words shared between the pair.
A final though that was very much about the one man. It's deep. Done it. It is the biggest title
of Kasper Rud's career. His first ATP 500 trophy and his first above 250 level. He gets revenge
over Tsitsipas and the last week's defeat in Monaco. He is the Barcelona champion.
How does that feel Kasper? This one's been coming. Pure joy for Jan Lennard-Struff.
The 33 year old finally has a first ATP tour title and it comes on home turf in Munich.
Taylor Fritz will have to wait a little bit longer for his first title on this surface
because there was no way past this man. He has played blockbuster tennis from start to finish
this week. There it is and Marcan Fucevic has done it. It's been a long time since he has
gotten an ATP title. Six years to be precise and he's taking it all in.
Now the arm is aloft and he sure did it the hard way in Bucharest. He took out three seeds
including Mariano Navona in the final. A final that went his way 6-4, 7-5.
1000 title number two Andrei Rublev. A man who came into this week
the back of a run of four straight losses has turned it around in impressive fashion
to win six in a row. A clean sweep. Alexander Zverev is the champion in Rome once more.
His first Masters title since the summer of 2021. Some nice words from the German
on the handshake. Second title at the Foro Italico. Completing a hat trick of titles in Geneva
is Kasper Rud. He dug deep the whole week including in today's final in the first set
against Tomas Mahac. Saving the set point. Pivotal. He did just that and takes this title
with a 7-5, 6-3 win. Genius from Giovanni in only his third tournament at this level. He is an ATP
Tour champion. The wild card from Leon, the golden boy at the Parc de la Tête d'Or. Takes down
Tomas Martin Echeverry in an extraordinary three-set battle. Takes it on his second
championship points. A fitting finale in the seventh and last edition of this tournament.
And it's third time lucky for Jack Draper and in a week of firsts he can add
ATP Tour title winner to that list.
A magnificent week for Alex Dimenor. The new world number seven. His rise continues.
He wins the tournament without dropping a set. His ninth ATP Tour title. A second of the year.
It is the biggest title of Tommy Paul's career. His first on grass. The first ATP 500 trophy
and the first American champion here since 2010. What a brilliant final from both. Incredible
drama over the closing stages. Tommy Paul survives and with the win he will become
the brand new American number one. What a week for TP. The fourth season keeps getting better
for Yannick Sinner. Another milestone ticked off the list. His first ATP Tour title on grass.
His fourth title for the season. He's the first Italian player to win this HALA title.
He is the world number one.
It's title town for Tabelo again and history for Chile. His second title this year. What a season
Alejandro Tabelo is having and he becomes the first Chilean to win a tour level title on grass
in the open era. I thought it was in he says. I thought it was in. I was hoping it was in.
Has he put it wide? This to decide the title. It is in. A record third title here in Eastbourne
for Taylor Fritz. He has done it. A moment of indecision there. Just delaying the celebration
and now he can celebrate. This is where it all started for Taylor Fritz in 2019. First ATP 500
level title here in Hamburg. A frosty handshake. The feast will not care. We have learned a huge
amount. It is a first title for Marcos Girón who has been on the tour for such a long time.
And he has saved a match point to do it. And that is just wonderful to see from Mikkelsen even
and what was a very painful loss that exchange. It is number one for Girón and it comes in
Newport. A comeback win as well. 6-7, 6-3, 7-5. Berrettini stands above the rest in the Swiss
mountains. It is glory in Gstaad for the second time for the Italian as he gets the better of
Coton Alice who has written quite a story over this week. Coming through qualifiers,
making it to the final but the Italian was not to be denied.
Brilliant Borges is best in Borstadt as he wins his first ever ATP tour title.
Doing one of the hardest tasks in all of sport. Beating Rafa Nadal on a clay court and doing it
in a final. A wonderful performance from the Portuguese man who becomes just the second
Portuguese player to win an ATP tour title. The first here in Borstadt. Finally finds a way to
his third career title. You can see what it means to him, what it means to all those close to him.
Heartbreak for Muzzetti who came so close, who served for the championship but just couldn't
get that done. But what a tough nut this guy is. Championship points. Berrettini is king of the
mountains in Kitzbühel. Back-to-back titles in Gstaad last week and here in Kitzbühel this week.
It's the altitude double for the Italian but he was made to work really hard for it. What a match
it was. High octane, high intensity. A great level and all credit to Hugo Gaston for making
it a real contest. But that's what it feels like. Berrettini is back, make no mistake.
And that'll do it. What a week he's had. It's not been his best year but he's certainly
played some of his best tennis this week and he does win his third ATP Tour title. He played a
brilliant third set. Not an easy match for either player with the rain disruptions but
he came out and he was the one that went after it. He can't quite believe it.
Capital City as champion of Washington D.C.
Mission accomplished. Like father, like son. Winner of the Muvadala City D.C. Open.
Well one just ran out of gas, the other just wouldn't take his foot off it.
Alexey Poprin, conqueror of Quebec, the master of Montreal. The Australian runs the gauntlet.
Five top 20 opponents vanquished, three amongst the top 10 and he stays perfect in finals. But
this one trumps them all. Yannick Senna is the Cincinnati champion. It is the third master's
trophy of his career. Yeah, I'm not used to playing the main match. Good point brother,
nice exchange. A second master's trophy of the year adding to that success story in Miami earlier
this season. 15 singles titles now and a fifth trophy of the year. He's done it in just over
an hour and a half, 7-6, 6-2.
Back in the winner's circle is Lorenzo Sonnego. For the first time since early in the 2022 season
and he didn't drop a set the entire way. And it's another Italian who wins a title on the
tour of this campaign. Sonnego taking the final in Winston-Salem and yes that fans has returned,
why not? Jerry Shang gets his storybook ending in Chengdu. A first ever ATP tour title for this
incredibly talented 19-year-old and he does it at home in China in front of his adoring fans.
Gets the better of the world number 19 and the number one seed, Lorenzo Musetti. What a week,
what a player Jerry Shang is. Gets it done in straight sets, 7-6, 6-1. It is an early birthday
present for Marin Cilic. The wild card wins in Hangzhou. His 21st career title, his first
since 2021. He is back, the Croatian. Great exchange between the players, this was a high
quality final. Just about pushing his body to the limit, match after match. Four top 20 wins
out of five matches. It was championship point down in this one. He could not have given more
of himself. He is the champion in Tokyo. What's amazing is that you see
Ugo on bare and he actually looks chuffed for him and that's the kind of camaraderie they have.
Carlos Alcaraz takes the trophy of Beijing. This latest installment, this latest reminder
of what these two will serve up for many years. It does go the way of Alcaraz.
Tennis is in safe hands and for Alcaraz, it's a hat-trick of wins against Sinner this season.
It's three out of three for the Spaniards.
The world number delivers an impressive display to claim a third Masters 1000 title of the year.
The wait for Djokovic for a century will have to go on. He has been so impressive,
pretty much from start to finish in 2024. And that'll go wide. It's ATP to a title number seven
for Karin Hadjanov. A hard-fought victory this one. It is Tommy's time again in Stockholm.
Three years after winning the maiden title of his career here in the Swedish capital,
he is too strong today for former champion Grigor Dimitrov. Absolutely outstanding on return
and in all departments. Not just today, but this week,
the American a hugely popular winner and thoroughly deserving of the title.
You can't beat experience. And what a way for the brother Bautista to claim a 12th career title.
A beautiful forehand winner to seal an emphatic final. Yuri Lehecka nowhere near himself.
But Bautista does not worry about that at this moment. Jack Draper is the champion in Vienna.
A second ATP title, his first ATP 500 title. Two wonderful weeks for Hadjanov. But for Draper,
the first set was perfect. The second set, in many ways, showed what he is all about.
Well, it just had to be sealed with an ace. Ice, Petchi Perikar, picks up title number two
in 2024. His first at 500 level. This serving machine goes unbroken throughout the week.
And he is going to be a serious problem going forward for a lot of players out there.
Alexander Zverev, the champion, scintillating from start to finish in this final.
The Rolex Paris Masters started life here at the Accor Arena in 1986 with a German champion
in Boris Becker. And as we say goodbye to this wonderful home in Bercy,
it is a champion from Germany once more. Alexander Zverev has the final say
as we bid au revoir to the Accor Arena. Hugo Mbert captured hearts at home this week.
The wait is over for Denis Shapovalov. Five years after his one and only title on the ATP Tour,
he's got his hands on some silverware again at the expense of Hamad Medvedevic, who had a fabulous
week on home turf in Belgrade. But he was outmaneuvered and overwhelmed
by his muscular brand of tennis today. And this week he's come from Qalis. Brilliant from Bonzi.
The wait is over. His maiden tour title at the third attempt. What a match, what a performance,
what an occasion. Benjamin Bonzi has been pushed hard here by an ever-improving Cam Norrie,
but it was written in the stars it seems. It was just his week. Seven matches, seven wins,
and now his first title on home soil. Magnifique from Benjamin Bonzi. He's come through 7-6, 6-4.
Unbelievable. What a match, what a performance, and what a finish.
Sinner makes history in Turin. He is the first ever Italian champion at the NITO ATP finals.
What a feeling to do it on home soil too. Some warm words for our chair umpire.
And remember he's won this title without dropping a single set. The first player
to achieve that since 1986. That's how good he's been.
Eighth trophy of 2024. It's 70 match wins for the season.
