We are ranking all of the new foundations from best to worst.
I have tested so many foundations lately, you guys.
All of the new releases, all of the hyped up foundations,
all the ones that have been recommended, all of the ones that have gone viral online.
And I can definitively say that I officially know which ones are actually worth your money.
It can be so hard because there's like a new foundation release every week.
It promises something new.
It can be really hard to know what's actually good and what's not worth the money.
So I have ranked all of the new ones that I've tested all the way from first position to last position.
Actually, you know what? Let's do this backwards.
Let's start at number 10 and work our way up to number 1.
So firstly in position number 10, the Makeup by Mario Surreal Skin Foundation.
Honestly, to be completely like straight up,
I haven't really come across a foundation that I disliked more than I disliked this one.
My skin just absolutely hates it.
It's got a whole heap of like these little silver particles in it.
And it's similar technology to a couple of other foundations that came out this year,
but somehow it just doesn't quite work.
It leaves me looking really, really shiny, really greasy, really oily.
I find that within even like an hour of wearing this, I'm like,
oh my God, like I need to powder my face again.
It just emphasizes texture. I feel like it settles into fine lines.
It's just not made for skin that isn't perfect.
If you're like a 14-year-old girl with no pores, no fine lines, no wrinkles,
you've got amazing skin, you're not oily or anything.
Yeah, it probably will look beautiful and you can probably wear it without even powdering it.
But me, I feel like my skin's just a little bit harder to work with.
And as a result, it just it does not like this.
So yeah, she's in spot number 10 for me. In position number 9,
I've got the SheGlam Skinfinite Hydrating Foundation.
This by all means is not a bad foundation and obviously being that it's SheGlam,
it's extremely affordable, but I just feel like there are better formulas out there.
This one can tend to emphasize texture a little bit on my skin
and it can, like it looks really pretty when I first put it on,
but then a few hours later, I'm like, oh, something's not quite right.
It's not sitting quite right. It does have very good coverage,
which is certainly one thing, but it is a little heavy on the skin as well.
Just not a favorite formula. Probably this one's more geared to drier skin types.
And for those who aren't as fussy as I am about foundations feeling like a little heavy,
so she's in spot number 9 for me. Spot number 8 is the Hourglass
Veil Skin Tint. I do really, really like this formula.
The only reason that it's in spot number 8 is that I've got to continuously touch it up all day.
This is not a formula that you can just slap on in the morning and expect to look good all day.
But in saying that, it is basically invisible on the skin.
So if you're looking for like a really natural option,
like something that you can barely see on the skin,
that just does like a little bit of color correcting and a little bit of perfecting,
but nobody would even know you were wearing a foundation.
This is a really, really good option,
but definitely caution to those who have a skin type like mine,
who have got oily skin like mine. You're not going to get any kind of longevity around this
and you do need to touch up. And if you don't touch up,
you will notice that it will start to separate and break up a little bit.
But at the same time, like five second chuck on to look,
you know, just a little bit more put together, a little bit more like you've had some sleep.
It's definitely a good option. Like I've been using it so much throughout the year.
It's not like I don't like this formula. It just does require a lot of touching up.
Okay, spot number seven. I've got another one from Shea Glam
and it is the Complexion Pro Matte. No, sorry, long-lasting breathable matte foundation.
This again is quite a good foundation.
I would say that this is quite a good dupe for the Estee Lauder Double Wear
if you are looking for a really affordable alternative version to that.
It is quite heavy though on the skin and it is essentially like paint.
Like once this is on the skin, it is not going to go anywhere.
It holds up really, really well in hot humid conditions. It holds up really well against sweat.
If you're going out for a night of dancing
and you're not wanting to have to worry about your foundation too much,
it's a really, really good option. It is a very, very matte formula though.
I know that there are a lot of you out there that don't particularly like foundations
that are super mattifying to the point where they can look a little unrealistic on the skin.
With this one, you do need to add the glow back into the skin,
which, you know, by all means is really not that difficult.
Like you can use like an illuminating blush or something like that.
And because it is so matte, I do think there are some of you
that will just find it too drying on the skin.
I quite like it. It's in position number seven
because I've got others, you know, other formulas that I liked even more than it.
But yeah, she's okay. She's okay.
Next up, position number six, the Laura Mercier.
Now, this has got a big name, Real Flawless Weightless Perfecting Foundation.
This one went absolutely viral recently.
I think it was maybe about two or three months ago.
Glamzilla did a review on this on TikTok and it got like 40 million views or something crazy.
This is a really nice foundation. It's quite full coverage,
but it's very lightweight on the skin.
I just personally feel that there are better formulas out there.
Yes, it is pretty. Yes, it feels weightless.
Yes, it's pretty good coverage,
but I do still feel like my texture tends to show through a little bit with this one.
I just don't find it as perfecting on the skin as some other formulas that I'm going to show you
and I don't feel like it also lasts as well on my face as some other formulas.
I do get a little bit of transferring and a little bit of fading with this one throughout the day.
It's not the worst formula, but in my opinion, it's also not the best.
Okay, spot number five. We've got another drugstore affordable formula.
Oh, and she's a goodie. She's an absolute goodie.
So this one is from Maybelline. This is the Superstay 24-Hour Skin Tint.
I love this, but similar to the Hourglass Skin Tint,
and I mean, skin tints are a skin tint.
They're not necessarily going to be like a really long-lasting formula.
They're not necessarily going to be something that's going to last all day,
stay looking perfect all day.
I do have to touch up this during the day when I wear it as a result,
but at the same time, it just looks so amazing on my skin
and it doesn't really bother me that much.
It's really, really glowy. It's loaded with skincare ingredients.
I think it's like packed with vitamin C and a couple of other things as well.
And interestingly, because it is a 24-hour formula, like whatever they've done with this,
it is so glowing on the skin, but it still lasts all day.
Like I do get shiny and oily, absolutely, but it doesn't fade.
It doesn't transfer. It doesn't cake. It doesn't crease. It doesn't separate.
It still stays good on my face, which is pretty good.
One thing with this, very limited shade range. Very limited shade range.
I would love to see an expansion in the shade range of this one.
I think Maybelline are selling themselves a little bit short in terms of that,
but the actual formula, oh my goodness.
Absolute heaven. I love it.
All right, position number four, and we're really getting down to the nitty-gritty
and the top number one spot here as well.
The Beauty Blender Bounce Foundation.
Now, they actually discontinued this originally
and then reformulated and repackaged it and launched it earlier.
It was either earlier this year or it was late last year.
I can't quite remember. Oh my God, I'm obsessed with this stuff.
It is so perfecting on the skin. It lasts all day really well.
Feels really, really lightweight on the skin as well.
I think they've actually put a heap of hyaluronic acid.
They have hyaluronic acid in this. There's something in here called white birch extract.
I've got no idea what that does. I'm sure it does something really good though.
And it is also now a 24-hour long-wear formula.
Normally long-wear formulas, like especially 24-hour formulas,
it can be a little bit like, they can feel a bit rigid.
They can feel a bit heavy.
That's sort of the nature of a product that is going to last you all day.
But this one lasts all day, stays looking perfect all day,
but it's still really, really lightweight on the skin.
I absolutely love it.
I also way prefer the new packaging.
I'm not sure if you remember the old Beauty Blender Foundation packaging.
It used to make the biggest mess ever.
But this one's just a little squeeze tube, so it's really easy to apply.
I really, really, really like this and I found myself reaching for this a lot.
I do need to pick it up in some other shades.
I've got the shade 3.60 Warm Tan Golden,
and it's just a little bit too fair for me.
So I do need to get it in another shade.
All right, spot number three.
And this is a formula that really surprised me
because I honestly expected to hate it.
It is the MAC Studio Radiance Foundation.
Now, this is a serum-powered foundation.
So it's very lightweight.
It's very liquidy, but at the same time, it still packs a whole lot of coverage.
And the thing about this that makes it so, like, unique to me
and a formula that I've just fallen in love with is it's a glowy foundation
that doesn't feel oily or sticky or heavy on the skin.
So the way that they've actually made this work is they've mixed particles,
like, reflective particles.
It's gold and silver particles that they've mixed into this.
And there's sort of, like, metallic shimmery things in there.
And you think to yourself,
oh, is that going to make my face, like, shiny and metallic and glittery?
It does not at all.
But those particles work to reflect light
and it gives the skin the glow without having to use, like,
hydrating or heavy emollients to create the glow, if that sort of makes sense.
It makes my skin look glowy without being sticky or oily.
Like, it's just the perfect amount of glow.
It lasts on my face all day long.
There's no caking.
There's no separating.
There's no transferring off or anything like that.
Really, really long-lasting.
And it just makes me look so, like, I just look healthy.
I look like I've had a lot of sleep
and, like, I've drank a lot of water and all the things that you want to look like.
It just gives radiant but without being actually sticky, if that makes sense.
And there's not many glowy foundations that I can actually wear.
Normally, my skin hates them because I am so oily.
But this one, oh, my God.
Any day of the week, obsessed with it.
Spot number two, so second to my number one most favorite new release foundation,
is the KVD Good Apple Serum Foundation.
And it's really interesting because when they originally launched the KVD Good Apple Balm Foundation,
I hated it.
Like, oh, my God.
Seriously, nothing has ever looked worse on my skin than that did.
Like, it just was a hot mess.
And so when this came out, I was like,
ooh, like, I don't know what I'm gonna think of this.
I've fallen head over heels in love with this.
This gives you serious coverage but in a really lightweight, thin formula.
You can sheer it out by mixing it with a moisturizer.
You can really load up the coverage.
Works during the day.
It works for special events at night.
It always looks perfect.
It photographs absolutely amazingly.
Like, it is just always so good.
And for my oily girls or even just for those of you who find that your foundations,
they just don't last long enough on the skin,
do not worry because she lasts.
Put this on in the morning, it's still gonna look perfect at night.
You may have to touch up like once maybe during the day.
But it just looks like Photoshop.
Like, seriously, they have nailed this formula.
I'm absolutely obsessed.
I'm well-deserving of spot number two.
And then finally to finish, and it's funny because this is actually one of the foundations
that I've purchased more recently than, well, quite a few of these actually.
And I was very late on the bandwagon of testing this one.
But in my number one position, the number one best foundation of the year
of all the new foundations that were released, the House Labs Foundation.
If you are sitting on the fence about buying this, just go and buy it.
I promise you, you are not gonna be disappointed in this formula.
It's a really, really amazing flexible formula.
Your skin can breathe through it.
It feels really lightweight on the face all day.
Insane coverage.
It covers all redness, darkness, like rosacea.
It covers acne.
Even when I wear this, I find that I don't really need to wear too much concealer.
I am actually wearing it on my skin right now.
So you can drag me in the comments if you think that my skin doesn't look good.
But like looking, like for me looking in the mirror, I'm just like,
my face could not look more perfect.
It literally does not look like my skin, but it also doesn't look fake.
This stuff just lasts, and lasts, and lasts.
Like I have put this on at 5 a.m. in the morning.
I've flown to Sydney.
I've gone to events, and meetings, and dinners, and then flown home,
and then driven home.
Like I've had it on my face for like upwards of 16 hours, and it just still looks amazing.
I do get a tiny little bit of oil through the T-zone after about the 10-hour mark.
But seriously, 10 hours of wear on my insanely oily skin is something that's just like completely unheard of.
It doesn't break me out.
It doesn't emphasize texture.
Like it just smooths, and blurs, and perfects, and it lasts so well.
Like I am obsessed with this.
Like I have like a sick obsession, truly, with this formula.
Only bad thing that I have to say about this is ordering it off the Hauslabs website.
I did have a lot of trouble.
They kept misplacing my order.
It took me months to receive it.
A lot of you have said that you've ordered off the website, and it's gone really, really well for you.
So obviously, you know, it might just be luck of the draw.
But if you have access to a Sephora, and you can go in and purchase it in-store, I would recommend doing that anyway.
Because that way, you can obviously like get the right shade, and test out all the shades, and everything.
But yeah, Hauslabs, easily number one.
Best of the best.
Well, there you go, guys.
Those were all the new foundations ranked from best to worst.
Please, please, please, by all means, let me know if there are any other new foundations out there that you really want me to test,
that you want to see like a wear test, and like a proper in-depth oily skin review.
Please let me know.
But I hope this video was helpful.
I hope that maybe it saves you a bit of money.
It's rough out there, especially with so many new releases.
Like it can be really, really difficult.
So yeah, fingers crossed this helps.
But I love you guys heaps.
I hope you're having an amazing day, and I'll catch you all in my next video.
Bye!
