When Italians answer the phone you will notice that they say pronto.
Pronto when they answer the phone and this actually just means ready.
Ready? Well what's actually happening there is that when you answer the phone you're saying
I'm I'm ready because traditionally you had an operator kind of connecting
wires from one little box to another and you know you're ready means I'm connected
you know you can hear me but that's kind of hung around in Italian.
So you will see people using that word when they answer the phone quite a lot.
So this actually means ready.
Tell me again what was I know from sapere?
I am is io sono.
So sono is I am.
Good so you could say I am ready.
Good but you being a female you will change pronto the o on pronto which
refers to something masculine you will change it to an a to refer to you female.
What was to invite?
Invited invited is invitato.
For masculine if you say for example I'm invited you being a female
you won't say invitato but invitata.
Good so I'm invited.
I don't know if I'm invited.
Very good.
What was the word for here?
I'm here.
What was you know?
Do you know why I'm here?
Good so you know is sai.
You are is sei.
Are you ready?
And what if you are speaking to a female?
Are you here?
Do you know if you are here?
Good do you know if you are here?
To interest is interessare.
Interested is interessato.
How would you say I'm interested?
Very good.
The word for very in italian is molto.
And this is like multiple of course multiple in latin english is connected with molto in italian
which means very I'm very interested.
Good.
I'm very interested in the house.
You will actually say I'm very interested at the house to the house in italian.
Good.
I don't know if you're interested in the house.
Let's say you're speaking to a male.
I don't know if you're interested in the house.
Very good.
So this you can use like a way to solicit more information.
I don't know if you're interested in the house and you kind of leave it open and lingering.
So what is I know?
And I am?
You know?
And you are?
How was how you remember?
Good you don't know how I am.
Like you don't know what I'm like no you don't know what I'm like you don't know how I am.
Good.
But you don't know me?
How would that be?
You don't know me?
Very good.
You went back to conoscere.
Non mi conosci.
No because this means you don't know me.
You're not acquainted with me rather than you don't know what I'm like.
Very good.
You don't know her.
But if you were to say you don't know how she is.
How is it is she is he is?
Ah very good.
They contract come and e they will contract together and we get come.
And it's important there to have the open
sound because the a of come now is the a of it is she is he is no.
So you don't know how she is.
Non sai come.
So we've seen briefly quando, when and e contracting to quando.
We've seen cosa and e contracting to cose.
And now we see come and e contracting to come.
The word for where in Italian is dove dove.
D-O-V-E.
How would you say where is he?
Where is she?
Where is it?
Very good.
Dove e or with that contraction which you guessed.
You generalized and you guessed that that might happen.
Dove.
And you are correct.
Very good.
Dove.
So dove with the accent on the end and open e all by itself means where is it?
Where is he?
Where is she?
I don't know where he is.
Non so dove.
What was the word for how?
So how by itself is come with the accent on the beginning come.
If you say come it might sound like the contraction of come and e.
I don't know how he is.
Good.
I don't know how he is what he's like.
What was the word for when?
I don't know when it is.
Or with the contraction.
Very good.
I don't know if he is invited.
Very good.
Where are you?
Do you know where you are?
Very good.
Do you know where I am?
Good.
I don't know where I am.
Very good.
