Is Elon Musk Right to be Concerned About This?

what ended most civilizations was a low birth rate um an an extended period of prosperity uh seems to cause birth rates to plummet um and somewhat it's somewhat counterintuitive when a society is under stress birth rates increase there's no question one of the reasons so many people are not marrying more than in recorded history people are choosing not to marry and even more not to have children why cuz it's difficult or it seems difficult even if you have a great kid it is difficult you are no longer the center of your Universe somebody else is fully dependent upon you at a very early age people think if they get married that they foresee and they're right that there are possible problems look a lot of marriages are not happy and end up in divorce that is absolutely correct I've been divorced I don't regret for a moment having been married and divor I grew up and I got wonderful kids out of it do I wish I were married once and it was terrific from the outset yes you know I wish a lot of things it doesn't matter what I wish but I knew early on in life life was difficult
