Chicken Casiotto. Hello all beloved, welcome back again to my cooking channel and let's welcome
new recipe that's called Chicken Casiotto. It translates to hunter chicken in Italian
with Casiotto meaning hunter. The dish originated from Italy, likely from the
where hunters would prepare meals using locally available ingredients. After Chicken Casiotto
gained popularity outside of Italy, especially in the United States with the wave of Italian
immigrants who brought this recipe down. Nowadays, it's well-loved Italian-American dish.
Enjoy for it hearty, comforting flavor and ease of preparation. Okay, are you ready to go?
First of all, I need to release all ingredients. A quarter cup pepper, peat black olive,
a half cup dry white wine, chicken broth, a half teaspoon red pepper flakes,
one teaspoon dry oregano, basil, one can crushed tomato, one bell pepper,
onion, bay leaf, two tablespoons olive oil, three cloves garlic, four chicken thighs,
eggs, our mushroom, salt, black pepper, fresh parsley. Okay, don't waste more. Moving on with
process of cooking this Chicken Casiotto. First, I need to season the chicken with salt and pepper.
Heat the olive oil in a light skillet over medium-high heat. Put the chicken thigh in and
brown about five to six minutes per side. After browning, I need to take it out and add the top
onion, garlic, and bell pepper. Add the mushroom and cook until moisture starts to brown about
three to four more minutes. Of course, pour the white wine to deglaze the pan and simmer for two to
three minutes to reuse. Right now, it is the time to add in the crushed tomato in, chicken broth,
oregano, basil, red pepper flakes, and bay leaf to the pan as well. Stir to combine and bring to simmer.
It is also the time to return the brown chicken pieces to the pan, nestling them into the sauce.
Lower the heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer for 30 to 40 minutes until the chicken is fully
cooked and tender. Lastly, add the pepper and olive oil during the last 10 minutes of cooking.
You can see how does it look. That is a really nice color from the crushed tomato that the
color is red. And that's a brownie of chicken that is. It seems like mixing to the sauce that
has become red as well. It's really nice bubbling of the sauces. You can serve it over pasta,
pollen, or alongside crusty bread. Mmm, so good. Thank you for watching and don't forget to try
this at home. See you guys next recipe. Bye-bye.
