All-new Checkpoint SL Gen 3: gravel bike product details

Check Point SL Gen 3 is a highly adaptable carbon gravel bike designed to take on gravel and dirt while carrying all the gear you need for anything from short rides to bikepacking overnighters. Check Point's capable, lightweight, and economical 500 Series OCLV carbon frame and fork provide performance and compliance to reduce road chatter. ISO Speed Comfort technology takes the edge off bumps and washboards by decoupling the seat tube from the frame so it can flex independently for a smooth ride. Check Point SL Gen 3 also uses our new gravel endurance geometry which gives you predictable yet slightly playful handling. This geometry has higher stack and shorter reach which means you'll be sitting a little higher and more relaxed compared to the gravel race geometry on Checkmate SLR. A flared handlebar that's six centimeters wider than the drops in the hoods gives you extra control in the drops for descents or loose sections while maintaining an efficient riding position on the hoods. It comes with capable 42mm gravel tires but now has clearance for massive 50mm tires so you can confidently roll gravel, back roads, dirt paths, fire roads, and everything in between. If you want more off-road capability for mixing in some light single track and the worst roads, you could even run a suspension fork with up to 40mm of travel or add a dropper post for technical descents. Check Point can easily haul all your gear and finding the right combination of bags and bottles is a breeze with the bike's storage optimized design. There are mounts for a trio of new Trek Adventure Bags designed to perfectly fit Check Point. The Adventure Top 2 Bag, Frame Bag, and Triangle Bag. These bags unfold directly to mounts on the top tube and frame mounts inside the front triangle. There's also plenty of room for hydration with mounts for up to four water bottles on the frame depending on the bike size and there are even more mounts on the fork for racking pages. Internal frame storage helps ensure you never forget your flat kit and the storage area and access door are even bigger than before. If your adventure takes you into the urban jungle, the bike includes mounts for fenders and front and rear rack mounts. Check Point SL is easy to upgrade and customize for the way you ride. A universal derailleur hanger works with just about every derailleur and our RCS headset system makes swapping the handlebar and stem easy.
