Matildas Home Town Visit | Cowra - Ellie Carpenter

I'm Laura Price and I play for Carer Club. My interest in football started as soon as I could kick a soccer ball as my four older siblings all played which meant that I came on Saturday mornings and watched them play. I love soccer for the different skills and tricks you can use to defend and attack the ball and the opposition and I love the friendships and fun you can make playing locally and representatively. I first started playing football at five years old and my favourite memories are playing representatively in Carer with my hard working committee and the amazing coaches that are who have made me teach so much and many great skills. So I want to follow in Ellie Carpenter's soccer career and follow in her footsteps as she is an incredible role model. Ellie is definitely a definitely superstar. She has for achieving the youngest international soccer player at the 2016 Rio Olympics at just 15 years old is a great amazing achievement and she's inspirational at Carer Club and it's amazing to watch her thrive. I've definitely watched some YouTube clips to see how she goes and defends and just been incredible and yeah trying to succeed in that way. I am feeling very excited for the Matildas to play in the Women's World Cup and I can't wait to watch them hopefully get into the finals and wear their green and gold in pride.
