We're going to do a week in my life of someone who works a full-time job, a nine-to-five,
and then two part-time jobs, basically two side hustles, and a YouTube channel.
I have a busy week and I'm going to take you along with me and show you kind of how I try
to balance.
I definitely don't have this figured out at all.
It is a struggle.
Also, filming outside in front of people is weird.
I am completely changing my diet, so I'll go over that at another time.
I have one or two events to go to and a bunch of other stuff, so it's Monday, it's 9 a.m.,
I have to get into the office because I have a laundry list of things to do, hopefully
before noon.
We'll see.
It's 2 o'clock Monday.
I've been in this exact same position since 9.
Haven't moved.
I've moved to get up and pee and then to grab my lunch out of my little fridge right here,
and that's it.
Today is a busy day, and I feel like I have a lot more to do, and my brain is slowing
down, but it can't slow down because there's a lot to do.
I put a microphone on.
I do need a break, so talking to camera is actually a really good break.
I think that no one should just keep working.
I think everybody should get up and move around every, like, two hours just to kind of clear
your mind.
Those are just not as productive.
So I do feel bad because my client, who is social media, I run, generally he's like really
just kind of like do whatever you want to do, post when you want to post, but we had
filmed, he has a new property for sale that's $12 million, and we filmed a YouTube video
together of him walking through the property, talking about the property and the area, and
I thought I would have like a week to edit and upload, and we just filmed that like two
days ago, but he texted me this morning, like a few hours ago, and he's like, hey, I'm meeting
with a property owner, any way you can get that done, that video done so I can show him,
and I was like, there's just no way.
I was like, I'll try, but that feels almost impossible, and because I hate being asked
to do big projects, like the last one they give in a small window, but at the same time
I also hate not being able to deliver, but I just can't because we have a huge fundraiser
for this job tomorrow to raise funds for cancer research, and it's a huge event, and so it's
kind of like crunch time, and we're trying to get everything in for this event, everything
done, and then also because we're all leaving early, and I have like two long days, I'm
trying to get everything done basically today, so it's just so busy.
Okay, I'm gonna get back to work.
5 o'clock, I just got out of work, I'm going home, does anybody else take their shoes off
when they drive?
I do.
Even when they're flat, like well, gym sneakers I usually don't, but anything else I always
take my shoes off, even if it's a flat shoe.
I don't know why.
I had every intention of going to the market on my way home, because I had to pick up a
few things for food, but I don't want to.
Every morning I'm like, ah, I'm gonna go to the market after work, and then every evening
I get out of work, and I'm like, no, I'm not.
I'm not doing that.
It takes me about 45 minutes to get home, get the animals fed, get myself fed, and then
give my dog a long walk, long-ish walk, just so I can feel like I moved my body a little
bit, then I have a few things I have to work on.
So this is my goal.
I don't know if I'm gonna get everything done tonight.
If I don't, then I have to table it until probably Thursday.
But the client that I do paid advertising for, Microsoft ads, Google ads, Facebook ads,
he wants to start running LinkedIn ads, which I've never done, but all of the platforms
are somewhat the same.
So I'm gonna take a class tonight on how to do that.
I basically already know, but I want to like make sure I have it streamlined in my brain,
because we're gonna probably go over it tomorrow, like what he wants to, who he wants to target,
what he wants to advertise.
And then I have to work on a social post and a YouTube video for my social media client,
whose social media accounts I manage.
So that's my goal tonight, get that partially done.
And then also, for years, as long as I can remember, I have been extremely, extremely
tired all of the time.
And what's happened in the last like four years is that if I start driving, if I'm on
just like a long straightaway path on the highway, I get so tired that I have to pull
over to the road because I cannot physically keep my eyes open.
It is more unsafe than driving intoxicated.
I am that tired.
Like, a lot of times I stand at my desk, because if I sit down, I will become overwhelmingly
tired that I have to close my eyes.
Like, there's been times when I feel like I have to go out to my car to take a 20 minute
nap.
And I will have gotten eight hours of sleep fully.
And so on the weekend, like clockwork, every weekend, I will go to the gym, come home,
start working.
The second I start working, well, probably after about 10 minutes, the second my body
starts to like get into a mode of working, I get an overwhelming sense of tiredness.
And I can't, I can't concentrate.
I can't work.
I can't do anything.
So then I have to take a nap for like an hour, wake up, and then I'm refreshed and ready
to go.
And that's not normal, I don't think.
I'm a person who will sleep a full eight hours.
And I've been like this for years.
And I just equated it to, you know, I have low iron, so I take two iron pills a day.
I just like, I just felt like maybe I'm just like a low energy person.
And like, this is just my life.
I've had my blood, I've been tested for a lot of things have been tested for Lyme.
I've had all my blood work done.
Several times, my thyroid came back normal, everything always comes back normal.
Except my iron is a little low because I am plant based.
So I take an iron supplement, an iron pill to supplement that.
Since all my blood work and everything came back normal, I basically like come to a thing
where I feel now like, okay, this is fixable.
This is like not life.
This is definitely fixable.
So it comes down to two things.
It comes down to my diet, or it comes down to the way I'm sleeping.
So I came across Brian Johnson.
If you don't know who he is, he is trying to live forever or as long as he can.
And he basically gets his body and skin and everything tested daily.
And he's on this crazy regimen.
I will link him below.
He's a pretty fascinating guy.
He has this thing called Blueprint.
He has basically created a meal plan and then a few supplements to go along with it.
So I am starting to use his meal plan soon.
I've started to incorporate some foods.
And I'm going to probably do the whole thing within the next few days.
His package just got delivered to my house.
I'm not there yet.
I just got the email.
So we'll see what that entails.
And then I was like, okay, so that I need to look at sleep.
And then I was thinking, okay, do I do the Oro Ring?
Do I do the Whoop?
I don't want to have to join a subscription once I buy the product, which is also expensive.
Then I realized I've got an Apple Watch.
I've got an Apple Watch.
And the battery sucks on this thing.
But it's doable enough where I don't actually have to buy something else.
So I started tracking my sleep two days ago.
And so far, things look pretty normal.
Which means the way I'm feeling is mostly tied to my diet.
So we're going to trial and error this.
We'll see how it goes.
It's 6.15.
I just got out of the gym.
I generally wake up at 4.10 every morning.
And then I'm out of the house by 5.
And then I come to the gym.
The problem, the reason why I don't get into the gym.
The reason why I get out this time when I should get out earlier is because
I have this really bad habit of needing to sit in my car for like 10 or 15 minutes.
I feel there's something.
Anybody that can just stop their car and easily get out, I admire.
Because I don't know anybody else that does this.
But I have to sit in my car in the comfort of the heat and the seat.
And sit for at least 10 minutes.
And then I go into the gym.
And now it's 6.30.
And I'm actually a little behind.
Because today is hair wash day.
It's disgusting.
And I have to get to work a little early.
So I don't know how I'm going to do this.
But we're going to try.
Does anyone else have a boyfriend who just takes his clothes, his clean clothes,
and dumps them with the intention of holding them.
But they don't get tempted.
Ignore the clothes.
Kind of messy back there.
But that's okay.
We're going casual today.
Because I'm coming back at 12.30 to change.
So I'm doing a jeans day for a few hours.
I probably have like four hours at the office.
And then I have to leave.
Oh, also, Brian Johnson's meal plan.
Last night, this morning, I tried.
Generally, he wants this to be your lunch.
But I feel he wants...
Okay.
So this is the nutty pudding.
Okay.
So generally, what he wants you to do if you follow Brian Johnson's protocol for diet
is he wants you to, for breakfast, have a certain amount of lentils.
I think it's 150 grams.
250 grams of cauliflower.
150 grams of broccoli.
Olive oil.
And then some other spices and seasonings.
I feel weird having that for breakfast.
So for now...
And then he wants you to have his nutty pudding for lunch.
And you don't have to have his.
Like I bought it pre-packaged because it's way easier.
And it's quite delicious.
But he gives you all the ingredients so you can just make it at home
through ingredients from your grocery store.
You don't have to buy it pre-packaged.
And he wants you to have that for lunch.
So I'm switching it up a little bit.
I'm having that for breakfast.
But this stuff is so freaking filling.
I had, like, two bites.
And then I have to give myself, like, 10, 15 minutes.
My other breakfast, the protein powder, chia seeds, and black beans,
I couldn't eat any good...
I've got to go.
Hmm.
Getting a phone call.
It is my co-worker.
She's probably like, What are you doing?
Where are you?
I'm at home.
Yeah, so anyway, so this breakfast is way more filling.
It's such a difference.
And then I also had his longevity mix, which is a drink that you have,
I think, first thing in the morning.
That's what I did.
It has creatine and some other vitamins and minerals.
So we'll see how I feel as I keep going.
It will be really clear to tell if it's making a difference
because I won't be so tired.
Because, like clockwork, I always need to take a nap.
I fall asleep almost right away because I get so incredibly tired.
I can't physically keep my eyes open.
So it's a really easy thing to test to see if I'm getting better.
So we'll see.
I got to go to work.
Thanks.
So freaking late.
Okay, bye.
We are getting a coffee today because I have vowed for October
to lessen my coffee spending.
And I actually will do this.
It's October 1.
So we're going into another month.
But I am, according to my watch, on like six hours of sleep,
which doesn't do well for me.
And I have a day.
Hold on.
Can you please have a medium iced coffee, just black?
Anything else?
That's it.
And my day will start at 410 in the morning.
And it will probably end around like 830 tonight.
And I have a lot of running around to do, a lot of preparation, a lot of stuff.
And so I'm definitely getting a coffee for this one.
This one is warranted for sure.
And then another thing I'm struggling with is that,
so last night I had a goal of watching a LinkedIn course.
Watching a LinkedIn course, getting a social media post done,
and working on some Google ads.
I just had some stuff I wanted to get done for the side jobs.
The problem is that I get home around six.
By the time I feed the animals, feed myself, and walk Aspen,
it's like 7.15, 7.30.
And according to my watch, to get eight hours, which is my goal,
I need to be in bed by 7.55 because I wake up at 4.10 to go to the gym.
So I'm struggling to fit everything into my schedule.
And what I'll end up having to do is I have a 6 a.m. ferry tomorrow,
so I'll work for an hour on the ferry.
And then hopefully I'll get an hour to some point in the day tomorrow
to work on some side stuff.
So I want to grow my income by taking on more paid advertising clients
for Google ads, Facebook ads, Microsoft ads.
But I'm already having a hard time finding time for the clients I have now
and juggling everything, so I don't know where I would do that.
I don't know how I would do that.
Well, what makes it non-sexual?
It's 12.30. I was supposed to leave the office at 12,
but I did get a lot of stuff done, so that's good.
I'm going to try to eat very quickly before I drive because I'm hungry.
And I'm going to have to run in the house, walk the dog.
Well, not walk the dog, just let him out, get dressed, and go
I'm supposed to be at the venue at 1 to prep,
and it's 12.30, and it takes me about 40 minutes to get home.
So if I do the math, I'm not even close to getting there on time.
But I have some stuff I have to do at the office, so I can be forgiven.
I did get a lot done. I got a social post done.
I got a video basically edited.
I printed out a bunch of brochures.
I did a bunch of things. I got a lot done in a short amount of time.
It's like when you go on vacation.
Somebody said, if we could all just be as productive as we are
the day before you leave for a vacation.
Because on that day or days leading up to it, you're just going.
You get so much done in a short amount of time.
And that's kind of like this.
I had a short window, so I just went in there and did everything.
But on a day when you don't have that time constraint,
you kind of just hang around.
This is like, I can't even believe I'm walking in somewhere like this.
But I can't prep on my feet for like four hours.
Here's the problem is that I actually, the shoes that I want to wear,
I tucked away because they're kind of summer shoes, but they still would have worked.
So now I'm just going to go with the regular heel.
I wish they were a little taller for this, but that's fine.
We're in route to the fundraiser, and I just had a quick call with the client
whose Google ads, Microsoft ads, and Facebook ads that I do.
And I had mentioned before, I think, that we're going to start running ads on LinkedIn.
And he was like, well, can we jump on a call tonight to start it, to go over it?
I was like, I can't do it tonight.
I'm like, I'm busy until at least like 8.30 p.m.
And he was like, well, what about tomorrow?
And then tomorrow I take a ferry to Nantucket, and I am basically working from 6 a.m.
till, I don't know, 6.30 when I get off the boat.
I was like, the next two days I just can't.
And he's like, well, why do we have to wait two days? I don't understand.
And I was like, I feel like, you know, and most of the time I can do these things on my time.
So I'm lucky in that sense.
But, like, I feel like if either client was to go in a different direction and fire me,
I don't think I would care. I really don't.
Like, I'm taking them as they come.
I'm not going to leave them on my terms because, at least not for another year
while I pay off all of my debt and increase my savings and my investment accounts.
But if at any time they make the move and leave, I don't think I'll be sad about it.
I think I'll actually be a little celebratory.
We're here.
Fun fact, this is actually where the Kennedy compound is.
It's really beautiful.
I'll give you a little quick tour as I walk inside.
And try not to get people because most people around here are very private.
Should I take that with me?
Maybe.
Did I put deodorant on?
I don't know.
I really don't remember.
It's such bad lighting.
The event is over.
Luckily, I got out of there earlier than I anticipated.
It's 8.11, but it feels like midnight.
Here's the thing, is that when you go to an event and you are a guest,
you can just, you know, sit in the corner with your person or a few people and talk and chill.
But when you're actually like working it, you have to be on and talk to people a lot.
And it's tiring.
So my social battery is dead.
So dead.
And then a few of the people, Nantucket people, they're like, we're going out.
Let's go.
One of them's like, I could be your mother and I'm going out.
I'm like, I am already sleeping.
I'm so tired.
There's no way.
That said, it was a great time.
It was a great event.
It was a great time.
And I'm happy we did it.
I just got off the ferry.
Where is it?
Where's the ferry?
Right there.
And we started at, we took the 6.10 ferry, which I just almost, almost missed.
I just made it.
Got off the ferry onto Nantucket at 7.10 and then started our day.
We are redoing the entire website for our company, for Nantucket.
And so we chose the top 10 popular areas.
And we got as much footage as possible with our production company.
And now it's 6.30 and I'm heading home.
I want to talk about alcohol.
I tried 75 hard, which if you don't know, you have to do 75 days of two 45-minute workouts a day.
One being outside.
You have to, there's no specific diet, but you have to eat clean, basically.
Nothing bad for 75 days.
You have to read 10 pages of, I think a personal or self-help book, but it could just be a book in general.
And you have to weigh yourself and take a photo of yourself every day for 75 days.
And if you mess up, then you have to start over from day one.
There's no like messing up one day and continuing on.
I did 75 hard for 75 days.
Oh, and no alcohol.
So I didn't drink alcohol.
And then I ended up getting sick like right after it.
And I kind of just continued that.
And I didn't have a problem before.
But I would come home maybe one or two nights a week and have either a beer or one glass of wine with dinner.
And then when my boyfriend and I would go out on the weekends, I would have generally two glasses of wine or two beers with dinner.
And that's what it looked like.
And then if we went to an event or a party, I would have a little more.
Like that's when I didn't really monitor it.
I'd probably wake up with a hangover.
But all in all, like week by week, the trend was two drinks with dinner and then that's it.
So I stopped drinking and felt fine.
Like, and I still feel fine.
But everybody says, oh my God, it's such like a vast difference when you quit drinking.
It's so noticeable.
Honestly, I don't notice a ton.
Like I don't feel much different.
I don't notice any significant differences.
I think by this point it's been like six months.
And I don't notice any difference in my weight, in my clarity, in my sleep.
Nothing.
But I kept it going because what kept me going is that I know that drinking alcohol is basically like poison.
It is so bad for you and it is strongly linked to cancer, specifically breast cancer.
And my sister who, right there if you can see that photo, she passed away from breast cancer two years ago.
So, and I'm not saying alcohol caused that.
I don't think it did.
Maybe it did.
I don't know.
But I don't think so.
But there are, there are no health benefits to drinking.
However, it's a good time.
So, I haven't had a drink.
But lately, like I just went to the fundraiser event.
And then we went to, we did the Nantucket thing yesterday.
And we went to a brewery.
And I'm just starting to feel like, and then my boyfriend and I were talking about what we were going to do this weekend.
And I'm going out with my sisters this weekend too.
And I was like, you know, it's that fall time where I just want to like go to a brewery and have a few beers.
Or sometimes I want like a glass of red wine.
And I'm kind of scared to do it.
I feel like in my mind that if I go and drink alcohol now that all of a sudden I'm going to like fall off of this health wagon that I'm on.
And then it's going to be like debauchery.
I'm going to wake up every morning with a severe hangover and it's going to mess me up.
Not true, but that's just like what I feel.
Like I feel like I'm going to significantly break a very clean cycle.
And that makes me very uncomfortable.
The biggest why of not drinking really for me is no hangover and how unhealthy it is.
So, do I keep that going?
Do I keep that in my mind?
Or should I just say like just live a little and have a glass of wine or two with dinner if you want and just enjoy yourself?
I really don't know.
I don't know what to do.
I don't know what's right or wrong.
When I was at the fundraiser and we all got, everybody that worked at the fundraiser got free drink tickets so you could just obviously get alcohol for free.
And so the girls that I worked with that I was sitting next to, we were like doing check in, check out.
They had a glass of wine.
I was like that would look really good.
And actually my boss was like have a drink ticket.
Here you go.
And I was like I can't because I feel like the first time I have a drink of alcohol I'm going to be drunk.
It could be wrong, but I was like if you give me a drink right now I'm going to be very intoxicated and I will not be of any use to you.
It's not like when I stopped drinking I was like yes, this is forever.
I'm going to stop and I'm going to be sober and not drink alcohol.
I never did that.
I never had a forever on this and I never had a time frame on this except for the 75 days.
So I don't know.
I don't know how I feel, but I just wanted to talk it out and then maybe see if anybody has opinions.
And I think that nobody can really tell me what's right or wrong in this circumstance.
I think people are going to have an opinion on this, but people who are sober are going to say they're probably going to feel very strongly.
Do not drink.
This is why.
You're already doing fine.
Just stay off of it.
And the people who do drink are going to say yes, just have one or two.
Just at least if you drink in moderation and watch it then you're fine.
But I've always felt like drinking, it is a good time.
You do have a good time with it.
I'm fun when I'm intoxicated.
I have a great time.
You know, I am not one of those mad drunks at all.
So, I don't know.
It's Thursday.
I'm heading into work right now and I have a little bit of work to do.
And then I am at 10 o'clock meeting with the client whose advertising I run.
And we are meeting to go over the LinkedIn ads.
So, we're going to start running those soon.
And I just want to get an idea of what they want exactly.
We're doing that at 10.
Generally, I don't like to do freelance work during my full-time marketing job.
I don't like to mend the two.
I don't feel like while I'm getting paid for my marketing job, I should be doing freelance client work.
That said, I have spent an hour last night editing for this full-time job.
Like, I've done some work off hours to compensate.
So, like, it all evens itself out in the end.
It is 1.30.
I got a lot done this morning at my full-time job.
I had that meeting with my client and that took about an hour.
It went longer than I anticipated, but that's okay.
We got that done.
I have a direction. I know which way I'm going.
So, I'm going to start designing the ads.
That is my SodaStream bottle.
So, I left work.
Did I say it's 1.30? It's 1.30.
I'm going to pick up SodaStream bottles because I have an obsession with soda water.
Instead of buying it in bottles, I have the SodaStream at work and we just have light filtered water.
I just spent $126 at Staples on SodaStream bottles.
That feels like a lot of money to me.
But, what I remember, or what I try to remind myself, is that this will last, hopefully, months and months and months.
That gets me mad, buying SodaStream bottles for $126.
But, if it was a $126 pair of shoes, I probably wouldn't care.
Well, I would care. I mean, I'm more mindful of it, but the price wouldn't bother me.
So, you know, it's all about priorities.
I might be a little shaky because I'm holding this handheld, not on a tripod.
But, it's 5.15. Just leaving work now.
This is what we have on tap.
This is the goal. This is what we're going to try to get done.
Go home, feed the animals, feed myself, walk the dog.
Then, I'm going to get half of the YouTube video done for my freelance client.
I'm going to spend about 45 minutes to an hour, 45 minutes probably,
reviewing all of paid advertising clients, like all of his ads, just basically like an audit on all platforms
to make sure we're not spending a crazy amount of money that I'm not aware of.
And tomorrow, I have a hair appointment at 8 a.m. tomorrow.
That means I have at least probably four hours in the chair, sitting there uninterrupted, which is great.
So, tomorrow I am going to edit probably the other half or some part of my client's YouTube video.
I have a reel I have to edit for him.
And then, I'm going to edit one of my videos.
I'm hungry. I need dinner.
When I go home, when I drive home.
So, in the morning, I always listen to either something motivational or something educational,
usually in regards to marketing in some facet.
But, on my way home, my brain is tired and I need a break.
So, I listen to anything related.
So, I listen to anything true crime.
What I really like is like the raw footage of interrogations of people who take other people off this earth.
I don't know if I can say the M word.
M as in, I'll put it, I'll write it on screen.
And the one channel I like, there's a channel called Dreading that I listen to a lot.
And there's another channel.
And if you are a lover of true crime, I feel like you're going to know what this is.
But, Jim Can't Swim.
This channel was amazing.
The narration was so good.
I don't know what happened.
I don't know why they stopped.
They had millions and millions and millions of subscribers and views.
And they just stopped making content.
I think because YouTube is not very friendly to creators who talk about the M word or anything related to that.
Basically, anything like R-rated.
So, that might be why.
Maybe they weren't monetized or maybe it was difficult.
I don't know.
But, right now, to date, by far the best channel.
And I can't find anything similar.
If you're into true crime, let me know what you like.
Whether it's podcast form or YouTube form.
I've been through a lot.
And I haven't found one that I'm like, looking forward to the videos coming out.
And I know the name.
Well, I know Dreading because I've watched quite a few.
But even so, like, not my favorite.
Not my favorite.
It's Friday.
I have a hair appointment right now.
Well, I have a hair appointment in one hour.
Which, it takes me like an hour.
It's right near my office.
Which is good.
Here's what sucks.
Is I, I lost my, I had one iPod.
iPod?
AirPod.
One, Jesus Christ.
I had one AirPod left because I lost the other one.
And then I lost that one last month.
Didn't want to replace it.
And I had every intention of going to the salon because I have four hours.
And getting a lot of editing done.
But I don't have an AirPod to listen to the video.
And I just realized this.
I was like, I'm going to just use my headphones.
I can't because she's working on my head.
Sucks.
You know what?
Maybe I can go underneath.
I don't know.
But I cannot waste four hours of sit time and not get editing done.
Because I have a ton to do.
The good news is that my hair appointment took eight, nine, ten.
Ten thirty.
It's ten thirty.
Two and a half hours as opposed to four hours.
So technically, I took half day.
And technically, I think I have until 1 p.m. before I start getting paid again.
So my plan is to go to the office and work.
But work on personal stuff.
Because I'm not getting paid to work on work stuff.
And so one, I do have a lot to do.
But I have a lot to do personally too.
Like on the side stuff.
So that's good.
Also, what's great is that my hair, I budgeted $450 for it.
And it cost $350.
So that was good.
And, you know, $350 probably like every four months at this point.
Which is kind of expensive.
But that's one thing I really don't want to give up is hair.
Good call.
Let's see if that works.
My dress is going to go up.
It's not good.
I should have worn a coat today.
But it's so nice outside.
Maybe a little tour of Main Street.
It's Saturday.
I love Saturdays so much.
We're getting a coffee.
I'm heading to the gym.
Last night, my boyfriend and I had dinner out.
We had dinner out, which was nice.
Took forever.
But it was nice.
And today, I am going to the gym.
Then picking up lunch for my dad and my sisters.
And then my sisters and I are going to the spa.
Because I probably said this.
But I have one sister.
The hiking sister.
Who I hike with.
And we do all of the activities outdoors.
She basically does everything.
She does triathlons and runs and swims and everything.
And then I have the other sister.
Who is like, I don't want to do any of that.
Give me a spa.
All I want to do is get a massage and a facial.
And live my best life.
Her birthday is on the 11th.
So we're going and doing a sister spa day.
Which should be very nice.
I have the most massive knot.
And I've had this knot for, I don't know, 10 years.
And it's my trap.
And it goes all the way down my right side.
And it's just, sometimes are worse than others.
But it's just so bad.
And it just is a constant annoyance.
So I have an hour and a half massage.
Which I'm so excited about.
And I meant to call them and ask them to give me the strongest person they could give me.
But I forgot.
However, I heard that all their masseuses are strong.
So, good.
I'm heading to go see my sisters and my dad right now.
My drive.
I have about an hour and 17 minutes until I get there.
I'm going to get lunch.
Pick up lunch on the way.
This hour.
So I have an hour and 20 minute drive there.
And then I have probably about an hour and a half back home.
This will be a good test to see if my change in diet has made any significant difference.
Because this drive, I've taken countless, countless times.
And without a doubt, at some point, I get immense exhaustion.
To the point where I feel like I have to pull over and close my eyes.
And I have to get up to the steering wheel.
And I move around.
It's just very uncomfortable.
And somewhat unsafe.
So, we'll see.
Because I have been trying to incorporate a lot more nutritional ingredients into my diet.
And I've started using Brian Johnson's Nutty Powder stuff and supplements.
Which have a ton of really good ingredients in them.
So we'll see.
So far, I've been driving for about 15-20 minutes.
And feel great and awake.
But that could change.
So, we'll see.
Hey, it is Sunday.
It is the last day of this vlog.
Also probably the busiest day for work.
It's 7am.
I'm going to get a coffee right now.
Going to the gym.
I have already.
So I woke up early this morning.
Did the thumbnail.
Did the description.
And downloaded the video.
To be uploaded today.
To the YouTube.
And the video this week is a review of my favorite budgeting app.
I've tried a lot of budgeting apps.
And budgeting mechanisms and methods.
And this is the best.
But it's definitely not perfect.
I wish it was.
But it's not.
What we have on tap today is.
I'm going to go home.
Off to the gym.
Have to go grocery shopping.
That is a must.
Because I don't have any food in the house.
And I need to prep.
But that aside.
Basically, my entire day is going to be working for both clients.
Basically, what I'll do today.
Because I can really get sucked into something.
And I can also get really distracted.
So, I put a timer on my phone.
So, I'll say like, okay.
Hour 1.
I'm going to be working on client A.
Doing this.
Put a timer on my phone for 1 hour.
Won't move.
Just work through it.
And then at the end of the hour.
Get up.
Walk around.
Maybe let the dog out.
Hour 2.
Work on client B.
And then hour.
And maybe a half hour after that.
I will take a quick course.
Like a lesson on something.
Because the Google advertising.
Like Google Tag Manager.
Google Analytics.
All of these courses are like between 10 and 20 minutes.
Which is awesome.
The little bite-sized ones.
And then.
So, that's basically how my day will go.
I'm supposed to go get.
Maybe it's coming out.
Maybe the sun is coming out.
Supposed to go get drone footage for my social client today.
To finish a YouTube video.
And it just started getting cloudy.
And I can't get drone footage when it's cloudy.
Because we're selling a nice summer home.
Where the beaches are nice.
And it's sunny all the time.
And warm.
And great.
You can't have cloudiness.
So, just got cloudy.
But I think the sun is peeking through.
So, this might actually work.
We'll see.
It's a toss-up if we're going to have clouds or not.
I don't know.
One minute the sun is shining brightly.
And the next minute it is covered by clouds.
And so, we'll see.
I would love to get the golf course with sun.
That is ideal.
But you know what?
I'm here.
I'm just going to have to do what I have to do.
Because I don't want to have to come back.
It's kind of painless.
Okay, the sun is coming out again.
So, you want to know how annoying body dysmorphic disorder is?
And like the obsessiveness?
Is all I keep thinking about is how ugly I feel.
Like I can't move on from it.
I just feel disgusting today.
And the thought pops in my head like every five seconds.
And I try to ignore it.
But it is not easy.
Yes.
Thank you.
We are here.
I really lucked out with this property.
Because I love that house so much.
I wish I could show you.
But all of these properties are so covered.
So, this property has a little lot right next to it.
Which is weird.
It's actually somebody else's property.
But I'm going to use it quickly.
So, we're going to try to do this fast.
Get as much footage as possible.
And then be out.
Alright, we're at the supermarket.
Every single time I tell myself, do not go food shopping on a Sunday afternoon.
And every week I go food shopping on a Sunday afternoon.
It's so busy.
So, let's quickly talk about how I ended up with two different side hustles.
And then my full-time job.
So, I got my full-time marketing job back around May of 2023.
So, it's been a little over a year.
And I do marketing.
I work in marketing for a real estate brokerage.
And I was a real estate agent prior to getting the marketing job.
My role was to do very generalized social media posting for the brokerage.
And then print advertising and helping with any marketing for the real estate agent.
And so, a few months into starting that job, I had a real estate agent approach me and say he needed help with marketing.
Outside of what we were doing for him.
Because we're kind of limited.
We're servicing so many different real estate agents that we don't go like customize above and beyond for them.
We stay within the brand guidelines.
And so, he's like, I really need help with social and video.
And everybody knows I was a real estate agent before that.
And I did a ton of video work.
And so, he was like, can you help me?
So, I took him on as a side client.
As basically like a test.
Because I had never done that freelance before.
And it was fine.
And then about a month after that, I had another agent in the same office approach me.
And he was like, hey, can you help me with my social media?
I really need help.
So, I had them for a few months.
And then I had a few more agents ask me for help.
I did not take those agents on as clients.
Because I initially thought, okay, I'll create like a small little marketing agency on the side for realtors.
I'll do their social media work.
I quickly realized that it is a ton of work.
Because there are some marketing companies and people that do this freelance work for real estate agents.
Where it will be the real estate agent's responsibility to provide footage and content for that marketing agency or person to edit, customize, and post.
But I did all of it.
So, I got all of the content with drone footage, with my camera of different areas and neighborhoods and properties.
So, I did ideation, strategy, creation, editing, posting, managing.
And that just took a lot of work.
Like going to different areas and getting all this different content.
And it just ended up not being worth it.
And I was like, this is taking up way too much time.
And it's not worth it for the money.
So, I said, I'm not taking on anybody else.
At the same time, I used to do, I used to be a full-time marketer for a company doing their Google advertising.
And they contacted me again.
And they ended up just, they ended up, I left the company.
And they ended up just hiring a freelancer.
Like outsourcing it and not having a full-time person on board anymore for their marketing.
Come to find out, that company was doing nothing.
Like literally nothing.
So, they contacted me and they were like, will you come on as 1099 employees?
So, like a freelance employee.
So, I said yes.
So, I took on the account again.
So, I was doing social and that at the same time.
What I realized is that doing paid advertising, Google ads, Facebook ads, Microsoft ads, is way easier.
Because you don't have to go anywhere.
You don't have to get content.
You don't have to edit.
You don't, managing advertising accounts basically takes strategy.
It takes A-B testing.
And it takes studying analytics.
And that's it.
And one, you sit in one spot and do that.
So, I was doing both for a few months.
And then I was like, I was getting burned out.
And so, I told my social media clients, the two realtors.
I was like, I'll give you a few months.
But I'm going to be stepping back.
I'll help you find somebody else to manage your content.
But I can't do it anymore.
And they were not too happy.
But they were nice about it.
And so, I stopped.
And then one of the realtors came back a month later.
And he was like, listen, I really need your help.
You can do a lot less work.
You can do half the work.
I'll still pay you the same.
If you need a break, take a break.
It doesn't matter.
And he is a very big agent within our brokerage.
And it's important.
The better these agents do, the better our brokerage does, the safer our jobs are.
And so, he is a very high-performing agent.
Meaning, he gets a lot of high-priced listings.
And he gets a lot of listings.
And brings in a lot of money to the company.
So, I was like, okay, I will take that on.
So, now I have one social media client, realtor client.
And then I have one Google.
And then I have one paid advertising client.
And then I have my full-time marketing job.
So, this week is a little different.
In that, I didn't get, generally, I'll get more done during the week for my side clients.
But because we had the fundraiser on Monday.
And that was an all-day, all-evening thing.
And then we had production team on Nantucket on Tuesday.
And that was a very long day.
And then Wednesday was catch-up day.
I was just like, I haven't gotten as much done.
The problem is that, like, I also have YouTube.
And YouTube takes up time, too.
Because I have to film.
I have to plan.
I have to edit.
I have to upload.
And what I'm learning is that I really enjoy YouTube.
And so, I think when I first started this channel, I had a goal of getting more clients for Google advertising.
Not realizing that I could ever make money off YouTube.
Ever.
Like, I was like, there's no, like, it didn't even come into my mind that that was an option.
But now it is an option.
And so, my goal, I think, is shifting.
And ideally what I would like to see happen in the future is to, I can't do anything yet.
I have to just stay with what I'm doing and work with what I've got and just try my best.
So, I have to keep my clients and my current thing going on for at least a year while I pay off all of my debt.
But at some point, I would like to just have a full-time job and then just have YouTube.
And those two work in tandem and then not have any other side things.
And just work on growing my YouTube channel.
Because I thoroughly enjoy it and it's also making me grow as a person.
It's a good creative outlet.
It's a good learning outlet.
And the other reason why I don't want to let go of my paid advertising client yet is because we could be moving next year.
Meaning I'll need to get another job.
And I'm trying to keep all of my skill sets together as much as possible and going.
So, if we move and I have to get another job, I like to say that I am managing Facebook ads, Google ads, social media, print advertising.
I'd like to kind of have all those skills together.
So, I have to do this for another year.
But when a year is up, I would like to just have YouTube and a full-time job.
I think that that would be ideal.
Even when I'm not working on the side jobs, I'm thinking about them all the time.
I constantly have a list in my mind of things I need to do, I need to achieve, I need to complete or things I need to learn.
Because I constantly feel like I need to keep up leveling my skills in these areas.
So, it's just mentally exhausting, honestly.
And I just kind of, I just want to have some time where I don't feel so pressured to constantly have to be doing things.
Even if I don't end up doing them, I put pressure on myself, significant pressure to do them.
And so, that's tiring.
All that to say, I am going to edit the content that I just got.
I'm going to edit the video.
I have no idea what this blog is.
Like, I don't, this could be so boring.
I don't know.
I have no idea.
But I'm probably going to end up posting it anyway.
Because it's life.
It's real.
And I don't know.
We'll see.
We'll see what the next one brings.
Who knows?
So, I'm going to close it out now.
I hope you all have a wonderful week.
And I will talk to you next time.
Okay.
Bye.
